2.5 stars overall We came here because we were craving bún bò Huế. Unfortunately, did not live up to expectations. The bò né was disappointing. They had run out of bread, which I understand since we came late, so they substituted rice instead. That part wasn't an issue. What was disappointing was that it came without pâté, and it included a sausage link, which didn't feel authentic at all. The bún bò Huế broth was just okay, not terrible, but definitely not memorable. Compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in the area, it doesn't really stand out. We also had the bánh bột lọc and that was pretty good but it also tasted like they bought it frozen and just steamed it. The service was fine. The staff took our order, and they weren't rude, but there wasn't anything particularly noteworthy about the experience. The only real positive is that they're open late, which is convenient if you're craving Vietnamese food after most places have closed. One thing I also noticed was that, despite being located in Grand Century Mall near Vietnam Town, there weren't any Vietnamese or other Asian customers while we were there. It gave me the impression that the food may be geared more toward a broader American palate than toward traditional Vietnamese flavors. Overall, I wouldn't come back. There are much better Vietnamese restaurants nearby that serve more authentic and flavorful food.

The wagyu beef pho with thick noodles yum. The beef was so soft and tender and the broth went really well with it with the lemon and herbs. The waiter wasn't the nicest, and welcoming with our kids but the food was decent. I like that they have a tendon pho because my kids love tendon but it wasn't that soft. We also had the mochi wrapped in leaf appetizer. It was okay. The ambiance was nice, and it was clean. I'm not sure for the prices and portions that I would come often. One orange juice was $8.25! We wanted to try the Wagyu beef pho we saw on Instagram. It was good!

Was looking to try some new pho places to add to my roster, and Pho Nhat Minh is definitely going to be added to my list. The broth was Southern style, so was a little sweeter than I was used to, but it was so flavorful and fragrant. I got the combination pho, which came with big pieces of tendon; my favorite! My mom ordered the wagyu pho which came with the meat noodles and broth separated. Considering the price, you get a ton of meat. My mom really liked how the noodles were separated from the broth because she doesn't like when the noodles get soft in the soup. The wagyu pho was an interesting elevated take on pho, and the portion was generous. We also ended up ordering some crab spring rolls. They were crunchy and flavorful, but came a little bit overfried and the presentation could have been better with one of the spring rolls burst on the side.

Been here many times and finally writing a review. Plenty of parking and scored one right in front. Walked in and seated immediately. Spacious restaurant and very clean restrooms. Served water and menu then ordered 2 phos. Something about the broth here keeps me coming back and the amount/quality of protein served is also superb. I think I want pho for lunch and dinner

Really awesome place for some good ol' Vietnamese food! Their steak and brisket pho was delicious and their spring rolls was some of the best I've ever had! Easy to get a table for 2 on a Saturday at 12 pm. Easy parking in the lot with lots of other stores around. Service was great.

Was visiting from out of town and wanted pho, which brought me to Pho Nhat Minh. Definitely good and taste just like how I would get if i was back in LA. They did charge me a little extra for the onion and oil but it's alright. We can a little after lunch, so the place was pretty empty. Overall, i would come back if i'm lookin for pho in san jose.

Pho Nhat Minh is hidden Vietnamese restaurant in the Vietnamese Town plaza. There is a lot of parking, however, it's relevantly close to the exit streets. The interior is spacious and clean. Has a modern touch to the decoration and kitchen dinnerwares. The services were kind and quick. Bright out the drinks and food in a mannerly time. The food tasted fresh and had a lot of meat inside the dish. Highly recommend trying this place and they even close late!

Pretty much your standard Pho place in SF. Nothing memorable but if you're craving Pho, this is a decent place with plenty of parking outside after 1pm on work days. If you pay cash, you get 3% of which means a $67 order for 2 will cost $65. The Bun Bo Hue was good but broth was flavored enough for me. The pork blood was perfect though. Inside, the vibe is slightly bright but not eyes blinking bright. Service is fast and reasonable. The Wagyu Beef Pho was decent (see photo); and the Cha Ghiao (egg rolls) were good but not memorable. The herbs were fresh but didn't have strong flavors. Would come here again.

The pho here is phenomenal. The spring rolls gave my fiancée and MIL food poisoning. I don't know if it's the tofu or the lettuce, but something there had something that shouldn't have been there and messed them up for a few days. The tables were clean enough and the service was tepid. You'll probably enjoy this place if all you eat is the pho.

I LOVE pho so I was so excited to come to Pho Nhat Minh after checking out the great reviews. My sister and I had breakfast here and there were already so many regulars there! We got the Pho Nhat Minh. Pho Nhat Minh - My sister and I shared this pho since I wanted to just eat the brisket and steak, but she wanted everything else in it. The soup was amazing, probably one of the best broths that I have had. The noodles were perfectly cooked and meat was perfect too. So umami Overall, I would definitely come here again! My go to pho in the Bay Area!

The free drink sign caught my attention. Once inside, the Wagyu Pho did too. Wagyu Pho was a deconstructed version where everything came out separate. It came with a bubbling broth in a stone/ceramic pot. The heat didnt last too long though so it took a while to cook the wagyu afterwards. I recommend adding the entire wagyu in the pot in the beginning and let it cook. The Bun Bo Hue was good but nothing spectacular either. Im glad I tried it but this wouldn't be my first choice for pho.

Came here on a chilly Saturday afternoon looking for a nice bowl of pho to warm me up. There were plenty of seats and we were seated right away and ordered. I got the #1 Pho Nhat Minh as it had the most different kinds of meat. They only offer one size. The pho was delicious! I'll describe the broth as not too light but not too strong. Good portion of each cut of meat and the noodle texture were also good. I also loved how much green onion they put in.

Food: We ordered 2 Pho Nhat Minh (Number 1) and it was delicious. The meat was tender, the meatballs freshly made, broth was hearty, didn't feel greasy, and the noodles were great as well. Portion size was generous. Drinks: We also got orange juice and Thai Tea. Thai Tea was nice, not too sweet, a good refreshment. These were part of the opening promotion, definitely worth going! Service: The employees were very welcoming, seated us immediately, tended to our needs and made sure we had a great time. Atmosphere: Nice and chill, clean tables and all the necessary utensils were there. Bathrooms were also cleanly kept. The first impression of the soup was good Minus: however the longer we ate, we realized the pho and BBH broth were on the sweet side (MSG?) and lacked the richness and nuances compare to the golden standards. My mother requested we try this place for her birthday so we did 5 orders of BBH to go, with one bowl of pho for the kids. I was a little skeptical because I had tried BBH at another pho-focused restaurant and was left a little disappointed. But Pho Nhat Minh's BBH is so good. The broth is a little on the sweeter side, but I love my soups sweet so it was perfect to me. Even after a fairly recent trip to Vietnam, I felt like their BBH was so good! Very comparable to the real deal from the Motherland. Ever since, I've been craving their BBH and not to sound dramatic but my faith in humanity (or at least the BBH shortage in San Jose) has been restored. I can't attest to the pho because I didn't get to try it, but the kids enjoyed it! Will definitely have to try in the restaurant next time... maybe tomorrow? read more

1st time come here for lunch with my husband today and we had a great time. We both order wagyu beef pho, the staff also let us know they're having promotion with some free drinks which is great. Staff very friendly and kindly and inside the restaurant very clean and cozy. Pho tastes really really good and for me the beef's portion quite a lot which is worth the price. No frills Pho spot. They only served soup. No egg rolls. No rice plates. Nothing but soup noodle. They also have a limited drink menu, and didn't give us water if though we had requested it couple of times. We ended up getting drinks at Bambu next door. I got the #17 pho and my husband got the bun bo hue and egg rolls as appetizers for takeout. They were having a promotion of a free coffee, Thai tea or soda when we went. Definitely go for the ice coffee! It's a Vietnamese coffee so it's strong but also sweet. The pho was a generous portion and they give plenty of fresh herbs and bean sprouts. The meat portion was generous as well, usually I get sad tiny slices of tendon but they gave plenty here. The broth was a little on the bland side. I like that they offer fresh noodles as an option. My husband was happy with his bun bo hue, very flavorful broth and plenty of veggies and meat. The egg rolls were also a hit, only 3 to an order but they were very good. Almost at the level of the ones my mom makes. There's plenty of seating inside. Servers were fast at taking and getting orders out. This place used to be another pho place that I grew up going to so I'm glad they were able to replace with another pho restaurant. read more

Just opened, had to check it out...Went with family-they ordered Pho #7, #15. I ordered #26 -Bun Bo Hue, large serving, veggie/mushroom on the side to add, very tasty broth, spicy level just right-it was perfect to satisfy hungry cravings! We enjoyed our food. congrats on opening! this place is very conveniently located- a quick drive from university campus. it's very clean and right now they're running a "free coffee drink (iced or hot)" with a bowl of pho. it's a perfect deal for this rain we're getting. service was excellent, bowl sizes were nice, lots of condiments, and the pho was delicious. the red envelopes on the tree by the entrance was a nice festive touch for lunar new year! staff was really accommodating when i got an ill advised coffee at 7pm and made me another weaker cup. please note: you need to go to the counter in the back to pay. my bowl of pho was $19. seems like there's only one size. definitely down to go again! read more

Me and my wife came across this new restaurant when we were running errands, and we're so glad we gave it a try. Upon walking in, the fresh scent of broth and the clean, inviting atmosphere set the tone for a great meal. We were quickly greeted by a smiling young server who offered us drinks and helped guide us through the menu. We got thai iced tea, iced coffee, and water, all of which were refreshing! I ordered the PHO NHAT MINH and was so satisfied with my choice. The broth was so rich and flavorful, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness, and not salty. The beef cuts were fresh and tender, sliced to a perfect size. I chose the soft noodles, and as someone who is very picky about textures, they were perfectly cooked and not too soft or chewy. Normally, I add a lot of my broth in sriracha and add a moderate amount of oyster sauce, but not here. Small amount of sriracha and lime was all I needed to happily demolish my meal. Overall, this place offers delicious, authentic pho, and I can't wait to return. This place is definitely worth a visit! read more

Came on a Saturday night an hour before closing! Place is nice and clean with a good variety of sauces available on the table to choose. Tried their waygu beef pho and beef rib pho and both were awesome! It also came with complementary coffee and thai ice tea drinks during their promotions! I went into Pho Nhat Minh alone today to try it and I must say I was very impressed by this place. They remodeled the whole place from the previous owner so its very nice, new, and updated on the inside. First thing I noticed was how clean it was and how nice the staff were. I was sat immediately and the waitress quickly took my order, Vegetarian Pho, Vegetarian Egg Rolls, and Thai Tea. It was phenomenal, I will be back to try the beef pho soon but the Vegetarian was delicious! I enjoyed every bit of everything, the egg rolls were top notch and incredibly fresh. The Thai Tea was delicious and absolutely hit the spot. Lastly I asked for some water when I was done eating and I must say this is where my whole experience was perfect...the water was delicious, cold, and in a lovely ceramic glass....I know whats the deal about water...well most places the water tastes like tap, old freezer, or funky...this was was FRESH and crisp and I'm pretty sure its either filtered water or bottled but I definitely appreciate that they have taken care of every little detail down to the quality of water they serve. The Best pho in town with really delicious, clean and clear broth served in a stone pot boiling hot as it should be. The wagyu beef is amazing and the noodles are fresh. It's like a mini hot pot. We went twice now. I tried the bun bo hue and also delicious! Make sure to add chili paste on the side for that extra flavor. Between Saigon and Hanoi, I went on a full-blown bánh cuốn quest, trying different spots almost daily. Street stalls, little hole-in-the-wall shops, famous spots--you name it. At some point I stopped being a tourist and became a rice-roll inspector. So yeah... my standards are unfortunately very high now. The best bánh cuốn I had in Vietnam was paper thin and almost translucent, with this delicate chew that somehow breaks apart and melts in your mouth. That's the texture I'm chasing. Coming back here, the rice sheets were noticeably thicker and didn't have that same delicate texture. They also weren't as fresh and warm as I remembered, which makes a huge difference with bánh cuốn. This is one of those dishes that's at its best when the sheets are freshly steamed and hit your table warm. The meat filling was also underwhelming and not nearly as flavorful or savory as another bánh cuốn spot I've had in San Jose. With a dish this simple, there's nowhere to hide--the rice sheet, filling, freshness and nước mám chấm (fish sauce) all have to work together. It's certainly not bad, and I can understand why people enjoy it. But after eating my way through Saigon and Hanoi in pursuit of the perfect bánh cuốn, this one is kinda meh for me now. My old review gave this place 4 stars. Vietnam ruined me.

They serve everything separately; the soup in a cast iron bowl as well, which I thought was really cool. The soup was piping hot and you got to cook the meat yourself which was fun. I stopped by Pho Nhat Minh and was so impressed! I ordered the Phở Tái - Bò Viên, and it was absolutely delicious -- the broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were tender, and the beef and meatballs were yummy. The avocado spring rolls were so fresh and come with an amazing peanut sauce. They even offered a free Thai Iced Tea, which was such a nice surprise -- refreshing and perfectly sweet. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive, making the whole experience even better. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes! I got the Phở Bò Wagyu Hotpot, and it exceeded my expectations. For starters, the broth came in a piping hot iron bowl with meat on the side to cook in the soup. The broth was phenomenal, warm, and so incredibly soothing. Not only that, but the wagyu was super soft and tender, and the Phở noodles were perfect. Additionally, I got the Soda Chanh, which came out really cold and carbonated, making this the perfect drink on the side. This DEFINETLY hit the spot and I would for sure go here again. A hidden gem in a competitive area! Was craving pho on a Sunday afternoon and I wanted to try something other than Pho Hanoi (our usual spot). The Wagyu Beef Pho looked great online and in person. The broth was presented in a very hot bowl and you can cook the meat and noodles to your liking. The rich and savory broth paired with the fattiness of wagyu turned a single bowl into a perfect meal for two. I liked that the bowl keeps the broth piping hot throughout the meal.
