Chewy chicken. Not edible, very though and dry

Visited on Thursday night, 7pm. My daughter has been sick couple days and hasn't really eaten well and I figured Pho was some needed comfort food. Drove 10 min to get here. Tonight our meal was disappointing the beef flank and meatballs Pho has issues. My daughter said the rice noodles were over cooked and broke apart easily into many bits that was not pleasant to eat. I had the wonton egg noodles with chicken. The chicken was over cooked and chewy, very tough to chew to where I didn't eat it. Also the veggies in soup had broccoli which is not traditionally included in Chinese or Vietnamese wonton soup. Would been better with snow peas or Chinese broccoli. I don't know if it is because we came in close to closing time which is 8:30pm but the quality of the food was not great. Suggest management and kitchen staff to do periodic quality check ob food and ingredients throughout the day. A taste the chicken you would see it was dry and chewy. Plating the rice noodle into bowl you can visibly see it broke easily. Any issues, then don't serve it. We paid $13.95 for each bowl and were not satisfied today.

Got the pho dac biet and fried tofu appetizer. The pho was good, all the meat and broth were on point. But the tofu was actually my favorite part. Portions were big, prices were reasonable. I'm so glad to find this authentic pho place so close to us.

Family came to visit and was craving pho, so we went here since we were in the area. Other pho places were either closed for the holiday or had a long wait, but thankfully they were able to seat us quickly here. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and all of us got C1 (the first type of pho on the menu) which was yummy. My kid especially liked the chicken wings. First time here. I ordered Shrimp Spring rolls and the the Beef Pho. The Pho was a bit salty but had good flavor. The Shrip Spring Roll was fresh but the peanut sauce had a slightly different taste to it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside the restaurant was clean and the staff was professional.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I probably won't go back to this location due to dietary restrictions regarding salt intake.

Vietnamese House Vermicelli noodle ( BUN)

PNH is a reliable local spot serving up Vietnamese and Thai dishes in Placentia. This being said, upon multiple visits here- we skip the beef pho and opt for chicken pho instead paired with the house vermicelli noodle dish. The former has a nice light chicken broth with freshly shredded chicken- not quite authentic pho ga but still tasty nonetheless. The vermicelli noodle is a smorgasbord of meats, seafood and noodle and it seems to all work together. It is interesting because they also serve some Thai dishes here as well- but haven't tried them much at all so I can't report on them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All in all, this place is a nice option for an affordable bowl of noodles with strip mall ambience and average service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Pho Dac Biet (Combo Beef Noodle Soup), House Special Flat Rice Noodle, and Grilled Pork Spring Rolls

Extremely fast service on a Friday night! We had come from our first stop, Pho Mazing, where we were told that kitchen staff was tight and any item we ordered from the menu would take 30-45 mins. Despite there being available tables, we decided to dip and try out Pho Noodle House instead. First impressions, lots of delivery and pick-up orders from this place even up to 15 minutes before closing, and orders were prepared and gone quick! That led up to the amazing speed at which our food came out - maybe less than 10 mins after we ordered, a serious contrast from what we were promised at the previous location. Of course, with this, there are some things to point out about the food. - Grilled Pork Spring Rolls 7/10: pretty good, no major comments! The pork was slightly different from how I usually like my grilled pork: charred, caramelized, hot, and tender... It was underwhelming, I could tell the pork had been grilled a while ago, it wasn't hot. - Combo Beef Pho 7/10: overall great variety of meats, I was specifically looking for a place that had all of the above in their combos and this came really close to everything I was craving! my biggest comment would be that the soup didn't come out hot, I found my soup becoming rather lukewarm pretty early on. Other than that, the flavor of the broth was pretty classic! Good thing I packed my leftovers so I can warm it up at home - House Special Flat Rice Noodles 6/10: this was a hearty dish - good portion of proteins and veggies, maybe a little harder to find the noodles. Protein was cooked well (chicken, beef, and shrimp), broccoli and carrots maybe slightly undercooked (hard to bite). While the flavor was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it, we couldn't help but note how the noodles were drenched in oil, sadly... But plus points: this dish was freshly made and piping hot ! Overall, service was pretty good, food was decent. Hopefully the comments above can help the establishment and you - when you visit next time and have an even better experience than I did because of the improvements !!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the simplity of this place. It's in a parking lot with Ralph's and some small shops. Pho Noodle House doesn't stand out but its food sure does.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We arrived a little bit before 6:00PM on a Friday night. There was hardly anyone there, but by 6:30, every table was full with a few people waiting. One thing that really stood out is how fast we got our food! Seriously, it was less than five minutes after we ordered and the quality was great! We had the Pho Combination Beef Noodle Soup. $15.95. It was terrific. Plenty of noodles and ample servings of sliced sirloin. The broth was perfect! Matter of fact, it was so much, I took half of it home, and it was even tastier! That's how good it is. We also had Pad Thai Shrimp. $15,95. Not a lot of shrimp, but it had a nice flavor and the sauce wasn't too heavy and sweet as it pad Thai can tend to be. For appetizers, we had four egg rolls. Nice 'n crispy, but not greasy. Nice! I will certainly go back next time I'm in the area. They also have a lot of takeout orders, so remember them for that, too!

We were pleasantly surprised by Pho Noodle House. We tried a bunch of different dishes and enjoyed most of them. Our favorites were the grilled shrimp spring rolls, chicken pho with veggies, eggplant with beef, and I think the pan fried noodles with shrimp and chicken. We didn't care for the vermicelli noodles. The chicken lettuce wraps were pretty good too but a bit too wet. Also, beware that the dishes come out super fast so if you don't want everything to arrive at the same time, don't order it all at once! And make sure to request all the accompaniments (sprouts, chili, mint, cilantro, etc.) for the pho because they forgot to bring this out for our first pho order and it definitely makes a huge difference when you add these things. read more

This is broth with noodles. It is not bad, it is just not that special. There are a lot of great pho places in the area, this is not one of them. We have come here about three times over the last few years, and every time we remember that we didnt like it the last time. This time I'm posting it so I dont forget and end up here again. The boba in the thai tea was really wierd, like it had been in the drink for a day or two. Very unusual. On the other hand, the owner is super nice. read more

Their food is very high quality. I got the beef salad (super flavorful ) and my wife got the pho. For an appetizer, we got the crispy egg rolls. This place is doing it right. Next time I'm going to try the Tom yum. The service was EXTREMELY FAST INGREDIENTS FRESH FRIENDLY STAFF BYOB Still amazing. Try the tom kha gai! It is so so good. Gonna hate to leave this review. But I have to in order for them to notice the problem. I found out about this restaurant while shopping at ralphs and I was glad they had a pho restaurant near my house. First time I tried it, I fell in love with the taste and the cleanliness of the place. Second time however was a bit different experience. I had fried rice and pho noodles for a take out. The pho was great however, the fried rice had extra "seasoning" that i wouldnt expect from food. I found a hair like object inside the fried rice and I was telling myself that it had to be something that fell out of the chef's clothing and I was fine with that. However, I found two strands of real human hair inside the fried rice and that just made me sick to my stomach. Im sorry, i might seem sensitive but the food tasted great but finding hair inside the food is a big turn off for me. read more

This Vietnamese restaurant is great. I ordered the stir fried egg noodles dish 10 minutes prior to my arrival. I only waited around 5 minutes before I got my order. The pan fried egg noodles with chicken, beef and shrimps; broccoli, carrots, bell peppers and cabbage was delicious! I enjoyed it! I highly recommend this awesome place to eat! It's a little pricey for lunch!!! But what the heck , I will come back again for more. Keep up the good work guys!!! read more

Waiter took my order really rushed. Ordered an appetizer and he quickly said thank you and walked away and I had to call him back because I wasn't done ordering (like the actual entree). Then he took my entree and walked away and I was like "hey, I was about to tell you my drink." Then he got really pissy and I was about to say "um excuse me. Is me being here ordering food a burden to your business?" But I bit my tongue. Then they brought out the wrong order and as I tried to explain the correct order, he walked away again before I could finish and brought out the wrong appetizer again. Like what the hell? Are they allergic to standing there and actually taking your order and waiting for you to finish talking? And the entire time, the waiter acted like it was a chore to get me the correct order Incredibly bad service and average Vietnamese food Note: I noticed I was the only Asian customer. This restaurant is in a predominantly white area. The place was packed but it was all white people (nothing wrong with that), but I've experienced it before where an Asian restaurant will give shitty service to the few Asian customers but great service to the white customers. The same waiter was chatting it up with all the white customers seated to the left and right of me but I literally couldn't even finish a sentence before he walked away and assumed what I ordered. I live close by so I eat here often. Food is good. Issue I have had: The potstickers were good up until one order the inside meat was slimey. Since then O can't buy again. Service is slow if you do take out. Most if the time it's never ready when the time says or when they send a text that it's complete. One time i waited 45 minutes for pho. Usually it's a 15 wait past your ready by date. They really need to work on this. People are waiting outside and inside because they fall way behind on orders. read more

If you havent been to Pho Noodle House yet, my question is, why not?! The owner Nathan makes you feel like family right away, always greeting you with a big smile and friendly disposition that you cant help but to smile yourself! The food is delish, I love the Pho of course, but the shaken beef is carb and filet mignon heaven! My husband loves the fried rice. The have an array of speciality drinks as well. Also its completely renovated and looks so modern and open now, and they have new menus and a new marquee ! Love this spot! read more

Hidden gem for sure. Heard Pho Noodle House is famous for the broth. Although I am not eat beef, I will say that the pho did look good. I ordered the chicken pad Thai, and it was delicious! Honestly, one of the best pad Thai dishes I've eaten. This restaurant is small, so be prepared to wait if you are visiting here during peak meal time. Prices are reasonable and portions are good. We just ordered our food through Post mates. We ordered: spring rolls, egg rolls and shrimp fried rice. And all I can say is that we only liked the egg rolls, spring rolls were ok. But we were really disappointed with the shrimp fried rice. It looked more like Mexican rice with Shrimp. The rice was plain and the shrimps were not even grilled! They were only boiled but not all the way. The shrimp looked a bit raw. We were even scared to eat it. We tried it and we were NOT happy with it. I will never order from here again. Very few places prompt me to write a review but let me just share my little exchange with the waiter. Me: I'll take the two piece spring roll Waiter: shrimp or pork? Me: both please Waiter: no, we don't do that. Me: okay, can I pay to have it added? Waiter: No. me: okay, can I order a side of shrimp and add it myself? Yes. My food comes out and what an abomination. Spring rolls are traditionally served with cold slices of boiled pork, cold halved shrimp, noodles, lettuce, herbs. The rolls I had came with grilled marinated pork which wilted the lettuce. There were no herbs in it. The shrimp came in pho broth which completely changed the flavor of the spring rolls, not to mention the marinated pork. On top of that, the side of shrimp doubled the cost of the dish. The food wasnt horrible. Basic at best. But their refusal to add shrimp to a dish that traditionally has it surprised me. I wasn't asking for free shrimp. I offered to pay. Straight up said no. Lol. read more

Let me start by saying I lived in Yorba Linda for over 20 yrs & will make the 30 min drive to Garden grove/Westminster to eat REAL pho bc we have nothing Around here, until I came to this place. Now we drive 10 min to get a hot bowl of Pho & guess what else, service is sweet:) The young men here actually have manners that is seldom seen in Vietnamese establishments. Now this is my go to place when I crave some Viet foods & don't want to make the drive to Little Saigon for authentic Viet foods. read more

My first try of the pho here was a big disappointment. The broth was... well how should I put it... it was salty water. There were no flavor in it. Actually it was super salty. No broth flavor, none of the star anise/coriander/cinamon flavor. The rare beef and brisket were good quality, but was totally ruined by the broth. I also ordered the pork rolls, and that was a disappointment also. There were hardly any meat, and were stuffed with rice noodles. The grilled pork was dry, and had no flavor. Lastly, the combo fried rice also lacked flavor. The chicken was dry, the rice was soggy. This was also a big disappointment... being that this has so many good reviews, I wonder what dishes did people raved about. I'll give it another try and see if the dishes can be better. read more

Came in this weekend to eat some pho and was a little disappointed with the service. Waited 30 minutes to get my order taken, then I waited another 30 minutes to hear that our order ticket had been lost by someone in the kitchen. Food came out quick shortly after, pho tasted great but I had ordered the house fried rice to only find 2 pieces of shrimp. read more

This is one of my families favorite restaurants. Nathan is always a very gracious host. This time we brought my father who is in town from Alabama. He is never had cuisine like the pho noodle serves. He enjoyed everything that we ordered. My father will put it on his list to return when he comes back to visit. It's nice to take guests to a place that you know they will enjoy and share what we get to enjoy all the time. I want to thank Nathan for continuous, reliable, and consistent food. We love you Nathan and the Pho noodle restaurant and recommend anyone looking for Pho to give it a try. You will not be disappointed and probably will become a regular as my family is. Pho Noodle House is our favorite spot for pho soup. We've been eating here for almost 3 years. I always like to add on the shrimp spring rolls. They have a pretty large menu with a lot of options. We are gluten-free and each time we've ordered the owner has been very patient about how annoying we are with our allergy LOL he also makes lots of really good recommendations so that are able to enjoy a gluten-free meal. When I Uber eats I order from here so I went for dinner. The first time there was a lady and the service was great. Today I went and omg the guy there was so rude it made my whole dining experience so bad. He was so rude and looked so annoyed. I asked for Togo boxes and he didn't look happy about that and then I ask for the check and he gives me the cc machine with no breakdown of my bill. I usually tip 20-30% but I couldn't do it. This was one of our favorite places however, the service here is getting upsetting. Just asking for a refill for water is a challenge. I soo agree with james e. This place was never good anyway. but i work close by.. so i gave it a second chance being under "new management" ... Its way WORSE .. pho soup tasted pretty much like hot water with a little splash of beef or chicken broth. Totally Gross.. Id much rather go to Saigon noodle house on Kramer. read more

I ordered food for delivery. It came in a timely manner and the broth was hot. The potstickers were not cooked and the basil was old and brown. I asked for no cilantro but there it was, mixed in with everything. There was no hoisin sauce and the meat was disgusting. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I'm not picky about my pho but I was pleasantly surprised how good the broth was. They are not skimpy on the meat and the tripe. I've been to so many pho places that barely give you any tripe and I love tripe. . I would come back more often if I lived in the area. The owner and waiters are very nice!! read more

We stopped here last minute when we saw the word PHO. This place was some of the best Pho I have ever had. The broth was delicious and fresh. We were given plenty of food and the price was very reasonable. If I ever come back to CA and I'm in the area I will be returning to Pho Noodle House read more

This was a fabulous experience....the staff are so friendly and helpful, the service is top notch and the food is to die for. Three of us went and had three different dishes and they were all wonderful. LOVE this place. We will definitely be back. They treat you like family. read more

I was referred by a friend to this restaurant. I came here around lunch time and it was packed. I waited for 15 minutes and was promptly seated. The service is exceptional, the pho is delicious, and the ambiance is warm. Will stop by and eat every time I'm in the area. read more

Amazing shrimp pho. The broth is so tasty and full of flavor! The small bowl was plenty, good for the price as well. I got the grilled shrimp rolls for an appetizer, which were yummy as well. Will definitely be coming back here. :) read more
