Used to come here really frequently after work and to-go my pho here. I was always happy to stop by here after work because I knew this place is delicious and very consistent every time! The manager (owner?) is always at the restaurant and his customer service is really top-notch. He always asks how you're doing (even if you're just picking up) and they don't yet stingey with bean sprouts or limes if you ask for them (he will literally give you too much which is always better than too little). There's plenty of parking here which is also convenient since the restaurant is in a plaza next to Ralph's and their drinks are also pretty good if you just want to pick up a quick tea read more

Posting this as I'm about to slip into a food coma so I apologize for any typos lol Tonight for dinner we went to Pho Noodle House on Rose, next to Ralph's. We've been here a couple times before but because I had never really had pho before I messed mine up by adding too much stuff to it. This time around I kept it simple. I got the steak pho and added bean sprouts and onions and a little bit of the herbs it comes with. Perfection! The broth is so complex and comforting I feel it doesn't need any sauces added to it (but if that's your jam by all means live your best life!). It was insanely good. The broth seasoned the meat so well that even just eating a piece by itself was delicious. I had been craving a comforting soup for a while now and that definitely hit the spot! I also got the honeydew melon tea with boba added to it and it was really everything I've ever wanted from a drink. It was sweet without being sickly, and the honeydew taste was really refreshing. My boyfriend got the mango slush and it tasted like the most perfectly ripe mango I've ever tasted. Next time we go back here just wants to get all the drinks lol My boyfriend also got the shaken beef with a side of fried rice. I stole a piece (for scientific research I swear!) and man, it was really tasty! The bed had a good texture and the sauce was garlicky and just a little sweet. He said that the peppers were almost better than the beef and that he really enjoyed it with the fried rice. He's a tough critic so I'm always really happy when he really likes something! We also ordered online and I have to say it was a great experience. The interface was easy to use and the notifications were great. I just chilled in my car until I got a text it was ready and then my food was all bagged up and ready to go for me inside! Came in on a Saturday afternoon during rainy weather so I expected a wait but was pleasantly surprised to see no more than two parties. We were sat and we put in our order and the food came out in less than 10 minutes! The broth is very deep and flavorful, the egg rolls were good, and the pork spring rolls were great too. Working in Placentia Im surprised there are very VERY limited options in the 5 minute radius for you to eat at. You add in the train that happens to stop traffic every chance it possibly can, you get narrowed down to a handful of fast food places. I'll give 4 stars for Pho Noodle House being located just at the edge of my bubble of comfort driving area for lunch. The prices are reasonable and the food is not too bad. 3 stars for considering it as having Thai food. I wasn't a fan of the Pad Thai (but then again, I kind of expected a Vietnamese place to not make great Pad Thai, but it was still disappointing even having low expectations). The variety of other options does make up for it though. If you are picking up, I will definitely order in advance. They can get fairly busy and if you are on a time crunch, it's definitely helpful. The store is on the right hand side of Ralphs (Out of experience, it is easy to miss given the sign is probably the size of one of the Ralph's letters). All in all, it's a good go-to place if you need a Quick Vietnamese food fix. read more

I'm a fan. I've been recently doing a Vegan diet and Pho Noodle House has the best vegan pho broth I've ever tried. It's packed with flavor and lots of fresh veggies/tofu, and keeps me satiated without the meat. Nathan is super friendly and the staff is awesome. I come here at least once a week to get my fix. It's that awesome! Also-- food comes out super fast so if you're hungry, that's a great thing. That being said, I do have some minor feedback-- the consistency of the food is always good but the amount of contents I get in the soup can be inconsistent. For example, some days I may get more tofu or veggies, and some days I may get way less. Minor gripe, but when I get much less then I tend to have to order other side dishes. I'll be back! read more

One had the PHO it too was perfect just the right amount of flavors are in the Flay steak was delicious in it! I had the house fried noodles with steak chicken shrimp and vegetables, the vegetables were nice and crispy bright green broccoli cabbage bell pepper super yummy the steak was everything you would want tender flavorful juicy and the chicken was delicious the noodles themselves had just the right amount of spice and flavoring and not greasy at all, so glad we discovered this place we will be back! Located in a strip mall with a Bliss CarWash this Vietnamese eatery is offering takeout and delivery. Ordered a Yellow Curry, Pho Chin, Shrimp Spring roll, and Spicy Seafood Noodle with Red Curry. The aroma was very pleasant probably due to the hunger. The pho broth was on the savory side and unlike a clear chicken broth this beef broth was packed with flavor. The portion of meat was generous and the amount of rice noodle was satisfying. The yellow curry was a little watery but a good amount of flavor and not too spicy. The spring roll was clean and refreshing with the lettuce and basil combined with some crunch from the sprout and succulent shrimp. It cane with a standard peanut sauce that was a bit sweet. The Spicy Noodle in Red Curry lacked flavor and a bit watery with oddly short noodles that were bland. There was a bit of kick to it but not a memorable dish. So I order from this place all the time and always get take out or delivery. It's usually great but this time they screwed up and proceeded to argue with me and wouldn't fix my order. I ordered house clay pot with no rice......I asked if they could substitute veggies for rice, which I completely understand if they can't...this isn't the issue. When I received my order it was on top of a bed of rice. I asked if I could get an order without rice and they told me it can't be done because it's made with the rice. I included a picture....it is clearly not made with the rice. The only solution they offered was that I could buy another entree instead. Bad customer service! As you can see below the owner believes I was asking for fried rice without rice....this is just crazy...I mean who would order that. I was ordering House clay pot and truly appreciate the offer for veggies but it didn't fix the fact that there was rice with my house clay pot. I just wanted house clay pot without rice. I raised my stars to three because it's probably a miscommunication but so frustrating for something that seems so simple. read more

Ever since this restaurant remodeled it's interior and menu, it's absolutely amazing! The pho has gotten even better and I have to say this is my new favorite place to eat out. The inside is trendy and gorgeous, it makes you feel like you're eating at a real classy restaurant. I ordered a pho tai and the real young coconut slush, both of which were absolutely delicious! The broth is hearty and not clear and watery like other restaurants, and the waiters are super nice! The only thing I didn't like about this place was that I'm pretty sure they filled the water cups from the tap, but that's about it. They have a pretty nice boba menu so you can drink that instead! It came with the rice noodles, basil, bean sprouts, a lemon slice, onions, and cilantro separated from the broth (good so it won't be soggy). No idea who's leaving stellar reviews, but it certainly isn't anyone Vietnamese. First I ordered vermicelli with pork, no bean sprouts. It came out with the wrong kind of lettuce, and only carrots. I inquired about the mint and cucumbers that not only was pictured, but is supposed to come with a bun dish. They offered to exchange it. I ordered fried rice. Description and picture shows rice, meat, and carrots. Rice comes out made COMPLETELY haphazardly. Not only that but it had lettuce and bean sprouts with it. I've never been to such a sham of a Vietnamese restaurant. Food does not even match the pictures or the description and food was sooooo poorly executed. Stay away if your want real food. read more

Have been here twice. The first time we just showed up and placed a take out order. It took a long time, but we just figured it was busy and we should have called ahead. The 2nd time, I placed an order online through their online ordering system. It said 15 minutes until order was ready for all orders being placed. I saw the order update from placed to "accepted" with 2 minutes. Thinking 15 minutes was probably a stretch, we showed up to pick up 30 minutes after placing the order. When telling the man our name, I could tell there was a problem. I see him go to the computer and write down our order. I ask him "has our order not even been started?" He responds "no, it will be out in just a few minutes", and rushes off. No apology, no "what would you like to do?". We waited for 25 minutes past when we arrived, and they finally brought out the order. I check it, and the "special instructions" listed on my online order weren't followed. Instead of an apology, the man said I could buy an extra set of egg rolls and add it to my food. After all the waiting, he wanted us to pay extra, wait AGAIN, and was not apologetic in the slightest. In fact, when I told him we had ordered almost an hour ago (55 minutes), he got rude, laughed, and said "you've been here 15 minutes". ((In reality it was 25))To which I replied that the order was placed 55 minutes ago with a 15 minute pickup time. I gave two stars because the food was good, but the service was awful. Even people eating in had to seat themselves after waiting too long. There are other good places around with much better service, so I would choose one of them in the future. read more
