You roll them up and dip in the sauce.. (love them) next time we will get Spring Rolls, they are made with cellophane wrap. The chicken curry had a nice mellow flavor. I may have found my new favorite pho spot. I've noticed some other places I've tried have been inconsistent with their broth, almost tastes watered down. The broth here was well seasoned and rich. Very unassuming restaurant and the inside is very spacious with plenty of seating. I came for lunch and ordered the seafood pho, which is not typical of me lol. Usually I get the beef combo pho, but wanted to try the seafood pho instead. The broth here is really clean with a lot of flavor. I will probably not get the seafood again, but rather the shrimp pho (the shrimp pieces are decent and good quality). The service was quick and easy, and the lady here was really nice. Tried a new pho spot the other day for lunch, and I was not disappointed. Right when you enter, you can smell all the spices and oils in the restaurant. When you walk in and leave with your clothes smelling like what you are, you know it's an authentic Viet restaurant lol... mb wear something you don't mind smelling :p We ordered the rare beef pho soup, the beef stew noodle soup, and a bbq pork banh mi. I loved the pho broth more than the beef stew broth. The bbq pork was seasoned so well with a nice touch of sauce to the well toasted French bread. It was a great lunch meal. We wanted to end with something sweet so we ordered the Thai tea boba. Food here are delicious and authentic as expected. It's a mom & pops type of place, not too crowded and a good size venue. Approximately 10 tables. I ordered my fav which is (Bun Bo Hue) a curry-like reddish broth noodle soup with veggies, beef and pork meatloaf, Vietnamese style. We also had combination pho and vermicelli noodle dish with seasoned pork. All were delicious. I was happy to see they have my beans, jelly and coconut dessert over ice. A great dinner treats! I only wish they put more red beans tho. Their vegetables for the soup came in a different plated covered in plastic which is a nice touch. Pho O.C. is in a private parking lot, with limited parking. It's next to a few other restaurants. When we went to Pho O.C, it was for dinner on a Thursday evening. It was empty. We were the only guests inside the establishment. There is spacious amount of table seating, physically distanced. We decided to sit next to the door and windows. On the menu, there are a wide varieties of Pho, Bun Hue, Vermicelli, appetizers like spring rolls, and much more! We had ordered the following Appetizer: Pork Rolls Entrée: Chicken Pho, Beef Pho, and Lemon chicken. Unfortunately, we didn't get to enjoy the appetizer, pork rolls, as those came after the entrees. The Chicken Pho was okay. There was a lot of green onions. The chicken was extremely fatty. I couldn't eat the chicken as most of the pieces had a lot of fat on each piece. The broth was missing a lot of flavor. The pork rolls were lacking flavor too, but were fried perfectly. The sauce helped though! Overall, the restaurant Pho O.C. had a beautiful ambiance. The inside has potential to be nice, but its so cluttered its distracting. I got "Australian" rare steak. Pretty pricey. $15 for a standard size bowl. Food came out fairly quickly. Thats when it went downhill. The pho was not good. The broth was bland and didnt taste like pho; more like chicken broth with chili paste. The have the meat, beans, jalepeno, and basil pre packaged. The waitress never came to my table once. I waited for the check and a to go box for 30 minutes after I finished. After sitting in the restaurant for 70 minutes without any service, I just left cash on the table and headed out. Ive never been to a sit down restaurant and never had a waitress ever avoid customers. There was an older couple next to me that were there longer than I was, and they still hadnt gotten any service the entire time either. I hope they can fix it. I was excited to try this place. Not too many pho places have oxtail (that I've been to.) I'll start off by saying, I understand oxtails are definitely fatty....with that being said....to my dismay, the oxtail was 80%+ fat that I received. I opted to add meatballs as well for an up charge. Typically on a delivery order, the veggies and meat are packed together in the container. My meat was in the broth which wouldn't be a problem normally however, with the huge oxtail full of fat in there it left not much room for the broth. The broth was very very bland. Moving on to the bahn mi. Not too much to complain about, it was regular. Nothing to rave about but not bad. My big complaint was the lack of meat...it was pretty much 4 small and thin slices. Good number of veggies & soft baguette. But what's a bahn mi with barely any meat. I expected more for $49... Positives: The beef balls were good. Silverware was included as requested for delivery. I came before 4pm and it was not busy. This location is closed on Wednesdays. The restaurant is very clean. The bathrooms are very clean. You have a clear view into the kitchen, which also appears clean. Price of my order was $15.50 before tax. Lots of parking in the parking lot and easy to get in and out of. I got their BBQ Beef Bahn Mi and they used ground beef if not a burger patty folded in half with no seasoning. Please do not order here if you don't want to be poisoned with raw chicken. I started eating and there was an odd taste and texture... to only realize the chicken was undercooked. They serve dark meat, but that's still not an excuse for the chicken to look so pink. This restaurant was terrible. The food and service were the worst that I've experienced in a long time. I called ahead to make sure that my entire order would be vegan and gluten-free. When my order arrived, my crispy tofu was soggy and cold. You could tell that they just fried it and threw it in the box and it had condensation all over the inside of the box. The pho had a layer of orange grease on top. It also had four pieces of brown meat floating in it. I called right away to let them know and the lady that took my order started screaming at me. She told me I didn't understand what I actually wanted. She said the entire order was vegan however if the brown meat was actually seitan it isn't gluten-free. I take my diet and health very seriously and cannot just eat gluten. It will make me very very sick. Also staff should not be screaming at patrons. I spent my money there, and I deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. She wouldn't even listen to me. I would never order from there again.
