Came here with friends for lunch. This place was packed but luckily we got a table fast. It was a cold day so of course most of us all ordered pho. After we ordered we got our food within 10 minutes. The soup was piping hot and delicious!! It warmed the soul of you know what I mean. This restaurant is great place to stop by and get a quick lunch in and out. Blue 'disposable' gloves!!! They wear blue 'disposable' gloves and use it to pick up dirty plates and food and then wipe it on the cart rag and touch it for plates of food to serve. It wasn't like this before. I saw so many times the waiters handling cash and cards, and then using the same gloves to bring out the food and touch the bean sprouts and lime (the actual food!) and the clean dirty tables again. And wiping it on the dirty orange rag that sits on the cart for cleaning. Foood is yummy and this is our go to spot but I'm gonna have to just do togo and hope it's better. After a night of drinking, there's nothing like some good ol' pho. Since it was a hot day, we ate indoor but everyone was pretty spaced out from each other despite the space being pretty small. We ordered two #19 Pho with Rare Beef, Well-Done Brisket, and Tendon in large ($10) and the #6 Charboiled Pork Patty Rolls ($7) to share. The pho came within minutes, so great when we were hungry. Since it is during COVID-19 times, everything is served in single-use containers and plates. It's a bit weird, but also understandable. The pho is rich and overall a very satisfying bowl of pho. The peanut sauce was not as thick as other places, I really liked it. But the star of the show was the pho! My husband got chicken pho and I got shrimp pho. Really the best non beef pho I've had in the area. They were generous with the protein and provided what you what you needed at your table. They had the bottle of chili, hoisin sauce, and sriracha, along with any utensils already waiting at your table. Dropped your spoon or chopstick ? You got extras at the table. Need more sauce? Found this place on yelp while driving home from the beach. Indoor and outdoor seating available. All staff were wearing gloves and masks. We were seated immediately and ordered pretty quickly. I think this is an easy 5 star review for them. Simply, the best and consistent pho spot in Orange and surrounding cities. I have been coming here for over 5 years. I order the Fatty brisket pho or the bo luc lac which is cubed steak. Both dishes are superb. I like to also order the following items: egg rolls, spring rolls, and Lime soda(highly recommend). I've been here a few times already - pre-Covid and during Covid. They really hit the spot when I have a pho craving and I don't want to drive all the way to Garden Grove/Westminster for good quality Viet food. I usually get pho tai or pho tai nam and their broth here is really rich and flavorful. The egg rolls are huge - filled with lots of meat and veggies and comes with lettuce and pickled veggies to make your own wrap. I've also tried their com tam with pork and that was super flavorful as well. During Covid, everything was brought out in disposable plastic or paper containers and utensils, which I felt was nice. A bit harmful to the environment with the excessive use of plastic, but I feel like all restaurants are serving food in one use containers during these times. so i wanted a thai tea and hiccuups was closed why i have no freaking clue. so i found this gem open. their menu is great and has a vas variety of different tasty dishes. also has a kids menu. i decide on a small pho. beyond hefty portions. what i always find interesting is the "raw" meat they give you. lol. also the crispy tofu appetizer blew my socks off. This place is a gem. Like most pho places, the food comes out in record time so that's a plus. But the broth is always piping hot and the taste always consistent. A host still seated me immediately, fetched a menu, and walked over a glass of water. I have experienced very few waitstaffs with the degree of prompt and courteous service found at Pho Oh Tasty. If the food were not so good, I would say the hospitality stands out most here. The food of course consists of the usual actually healthy to eat Vietnamese fare. Meats and veggies with noodles. I personally find the food here exquisite. $7 gets the customer a piping hot bowlful of robust soup. Pho Oh Tasty does not skimp on the noodles, meat, or extras. I have ordered the Chicken Pho here several times. The pieces or strips of chicken always come sliced evenly and thickly. Sometimes I can barely finish a "small" bowl here. I appreciate the ambience and decoration in this restaurant for its sparseness. I cannot tolerate the overly thematic and grossly oppressive aesthetic of most US diners. Must we have a poster of an old Chevy covering every square inch of wall space? Not here. Thank the stars. Pho Oh Tasty knows how to prioritize hospitality, good food, and cost effectiveness. This has been one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in orange! My husband found this place just pre-pandemic but we consistently try to visit them when we are in the area. Their food tastes delicious, comes out super fast, and is reasonably priced. My favorite items are the pho #21 and nem nuong cuon (grilled pork patty spring rolls). As someone who is environmentally conscious- I do feel guilty eating here since they send out all their food in take out containers.
