It turned out really good and I would come back for this. Tip: You pay at the front here after you finish eating. They won't be coming over and giving you a check. * Chicken Thigh Pho 5/5 - The pho was good and the chicken was even better. They use gà đi bộ here, and it literally translates to walking chicken. The meat was juicy, tender, and succulent with a hint of umami sweetness. You can choose from chicken thigh or breast with optional egg and liver, and whether you want boneless and skinless or not (I liked the meat with both bones and skin). There was also a yummy side dipping sauce for the chicken. * Bun Bo Hue 3.5/5 - This tasted okay. It's a pho place and maybe I should just stick to that. The portion was huge, though, with generous toppings. I just didn't like how the noodle soup was kinda sweet, not umami sweet, but like sugary sweet? It was kinda weird tasting. Located in a super busy shopping center across from Phuoc Loc Tho! We wanted a restaurant that had both Pho and BBH. This place was it, and offer other options as well! I requested mine to not have any pork blood as I don't like it and they delivered. I'm not much of a pork fan either so I should've asked for it to be removed too but it's ok. Both soups came out smoking hot = FRESH! We only waited about 10 or so minutes. They gave veggies on the side (mint, bean sprouts, banana) and the sate on the side. Honestly the soup did not need the sate in it, as it was great on it's own. Very good portion here. Best chicken pho I've ever had! (Then again, I don't get pho often, so I'm not an expert). But the chicken flavor in the broth is INTENSE, just from the first sip. Normally, I need to drown pho broth in condiments and Sriracha, but this was so perfect it didn't need any of that. The chicken portions are also sizeable--I estimate about 35/40 grams protein. After looking through the menu, I asked the server if we could place the order and he said no and told us we have to wait another 5 mins. Once we finally placed our order, the food comes out about 10 mins later but they made some mistakes - we didn't say anything though. Then comes time to pay, the server told us to go up to the register to pay, which is fine. We asked for a To-go box and he said not now, wait 5 mins..... uhhh what? OG Pho Place - I haven't been for years, but found out that they have a Happy Hour. We got two bowls of pho, bun cha Ha Noi sliders, chicken wings and got a free coffee because our total was over $30. All that food was about $35 total. The Pho for happy hour even though really cheap, they didn't skimp out on giving you a decent portion. The bun cha Ha Noi sliders were interesting, but I'd skip. The fish sauce wings had good sauce, but the wings were the processed kind with breading. Service was nice, the cashier gave me a free coffee when I paid. I didn't even know there was a promo. This spot is my family's go to for authentic Vietnamese food. They have a lot of Northern Vietnamese dishes that replicate the taste of home. Don't expect anything above and beyond or crazy for service. Go for the food. Their pho is solid, but I highly highly highly recommend their other dishes. The Pho Ap Chao is an absolute must for my family, and with the new introduction of the cha ca, my family has been getting that every time as well as a bowl of pho. Their bo luc lac is solid and their fried rice is alright. Chicken wings are solid here too. I usually never have to wait to get a seat here even with a party of 8. I stopped by Pho Quang Trung with a friend after visiting Asian Garden Mall for a quick bite at night (There aren't many spots open past 10pm). They had some happy hour items, including a beer special which we enjoyed. Service was as you may expect for a Vietnamese restaurant; get your order in and enjoy the food. Seating was either inside or outside; initially we were sat outside, but we asked to be moved inside after realizing it was a tad colder. I ordered their Bun Bo Xao, which was tasty as usually is. The noodle portions were especially generous, and I'd argue it was a tad too much for the amount of beef. The amount of sauce was perfect, just enough to still have a spoonful at the bottom. Amazing legit Viet food. A restaurant that is so good, if I had this meal in Vietnam, I would be so satisfied. It's so good it has been added to our rotation as we have decided to become regulars. Will come back again and again. The soup of Bun Bo Hue and Bun Rieu is so flavorful, that even after we added all the veggies, the taste of either soups didn't suffer at all (unlike most places' pho). Let me tell you, the Bun Bo hue is good (and rivals the Michelin one in Vietnam) but Bun Rieu is OUTSTANDING. Amazing. Out of this world! Don't even get me started on the chicken wings . The chicken wings with fish sauce is so good I have question whether or not there is crack in there. I think what's nice about this place is that it's open until midnight and usually when that's the case I have a feeling the food is going to be okay. My assumption was correct. I got the Wagyu pho Dac biet it was good/okay nothing to wow about it and I felt that the broth was lacking compared to other places that I've been too. Regardless, service is fast and the ambiance is nice and calming there. If I am to come here another night, I'm going to opt for the regular brisket pho. They had your rice dishes, noodle dishes and then of course pho. We were also served a sweet black bean dessert. I know that this would have been popular with some but I am not used to the texture. Ordered the A03 Shrimp and pork spring roll and B01 Free-range chicken leg and thigh pho. The rolls were really good, I really liked the shrimp and pork together. The peanut sauce was super good too. My only complaint is that the lettuce could have been a little bit fresher. This was my first time trying chicken pho and it was so good. I liked the broth and my bowl had SO much noodles. Very good comforting food, been going here since I was a kid. Honestly a gem in little saigon. Everyone must come here and try the food

The good: The servers put down plastic utensils, scissors and two plastic bowls almost before we even sat down with our two toddlers. I loved that they were so prepared and kid friendly. They really anticipate your needs. We got our order taken within a minute of sitting down. They also took out a booster seat and a high chair for us immediately. They have an indoor area, outdoor area, and then a covered outdoor area as well. You can reserve tables in advance. This is the first Vietnamese restaurant I've seen with a separate designated Vietnamese menu. I tried the com suong nuong that came randomly with 2 fried chicken wings (that my toddler loved!) and pho ap chao (you can get it with crunchy or soft noodles). I liked that the pho ap chao wasn't too salty. The vegetables were cut nicely. The menu was expansive. They had che options for dessert as well. They gave complimentary bean dessert che that my toddlers enjoyed. They gave my son a lollipop as he was sitting down because he was being fussy. The bad: The parking lot gets crowded. The outside atmosphere furthest from the restaurant isn't the best ambience because it's car traffic but it is still a nice option for large groups. Came here for dinner on a Saturday night. Not busy. In the same plaza under seafood cove so I imagine it would be a pain for parking during the day, even at night the lot was a bit packed. The restaurant itself is pretty big and very ideal for larger parties (6+). My husband got their wagyu pho which came with a smaller bowl of broth for the meat. He said the pho was good but the meat was just ok since he didn't dump it all into the broth while it was piping hot. I got the bun rieu which was surprisingly good. Minus some points for no tomatoes but the broth was just right to me and had a good umami taste which other places always seem to miss. The smaller size was the perfect portion for me as a light eater. They gave us some desserts after and I really liked the one I chose which was corn, sago and coconut cream.
