Only 3 stars, I had high expectations, but everything seemed average. We got Pho with egg noodles (I'm not a huge fan of rice noodles) but the egg noodles were the super skinny kind and didn't really have any chew. The imperial rolls were okay, but the lettuce wrap was only one big piece to use for all the rolls (there should have been at least 3). I would have asked for more, but the piece of lettuce was not fresh and only part of it was usable and I didn't want any more half bad lettuce. I also got a pork and rice plate and the pork was in super large pieces and not cut up right and only average. I probably wouldn't go back. Prices were decent and it seemed popular as there was a waitlist to get seated, but I was a little disapointed. 2.75 stars. read more

Guys... this place is freaking good! Be prepared to wait for a table... this place was packed at 7:30pm on a Sunday when we went. The pho is absolutely delicious, a big portion, and came out piping hot. The service was attentive and quick, and the prices are reasonable. The interior is clean. Very good. I approve. Ordered their spring rolls with peanut sauce and a rare beef brisket pho. This was all 'to go'. Right away, I noticed they give a really healthy amount of jalapeños and bamboo shoots -- some restaurants are stingier than others -- this place is very generous with their portions. Brisket appeared rare at first glance, but once you pour the hot pho broth on it, it immediately christens to a brownish hue. The broth was hearty and humungous portions. This place is always a go-to when I'm hungry after a day at work. Depending on the time that you go, you can expect a line (it's worth it). It has spacious seating for all party sizes. In terms of the food, the pho is always solid choice. The rare steak is tender, the noodles are not hard, and their brisket... oomf. Savory & tender. The vermicelli slaps too, with cha gio & beef. My wife is a huge pho fan we always used to go to Simi Valley and get pho from this one restaurant but I told her I didn't wanna drive 30 minutes to a place to eat at let's find someplace new in LA or close by LA. I had to take one star off because of two things. First, we bought some reusable masks from them, but the measurements for both masks were not the same. One of them is too lose to wear for me and I can't even wear it, so it just goes to waste now... :/ The second reason is that the quality of the meats wasn't as good as some other places that I've been to recently (which have very similar price range) and the amount of the meats was also not that much. Very good pho, had the brisket, steak and tendon. Broth was very flavorful. Got there after lunch, but it was still crowded both in dining and take out. Lots of workers from the next door 99 Ranch seem to make this place their go to spot. Service, on the other hand was a bit to be desired. Walked in, went to the sign in sheet as the little waiting area was crowded, but one of the waiters stopped me from signing in and told me to wait. After about 5 minutes or so, he brought me to our table. Gave us menus and left. Water guy came by and the waiter returned after about a couple of minutes. We ordered and that's the last we saw of him. Water guy brought us our pho and that's the last we saw of him. Had to go up to get more ester and also ask for some chili oil (they didn't have any). As mentioned earlier, only saw the waiter when he took our order, so went to the cashier to settle our bill. This spot was def good enough for a pho fix. The flavor of the broth isn't the best I've had (but that's pretty subjective to everyone's individual taste preference) but still pretty good. I ordered the Pho Tai Nam Gau and they did Not skimp on the meat, which I was very pleased with. However, I'll skip the Gau next time (which was supposed to be fatty brisket, but it was a bit crunchy and not tender soft like you might think fatty would be like). The noodles were cooked perfectly, a bit al dente when it first came out, which is good because it continues to soften up while you eat it. A lot of other spots cook the needles too soft to begin with, leaving super soft noodles halfway through the meal. They also don't use the Sriracha brand that everyone knows and loves with the green pointy tip or any of its sister sauces (which I prefer), and unfortunately that was the only hot sauce they had. I actually Love the cooked chili oil with the seeds, but they didn't have that. I had to put a bit extra of this Sriracha to spice it up enough. I did like that they do give you true lime instead of lemon as a lot of other spots have been doing to save on costs (they do taste different!), bit not sure if this is a forever thing or only if the limes are actually cheaper than lemons at the moment. It was consistently busy too, even though I went later around 2pm. I'll also say that it was very reasonably priced too, which I loved. Other spots are charging way too much for pho close to $20. It's one size and it was about $13. All in all, I got my fix, not Pho'ken great not pretty good! (Sorry I had to fit a play pho pun in there somewhere) read more

In addition, we ordered the Bun Nem Nuong Cha Gio (Noodles with Grilled Pork Ball & Eggroll) $7.58 This was delicious all on its own because this dish didn't come with broth but rather a side of a delectable sauce. Always wanted to try Pho So 1 and finally did. I was so surprised on how good the food was here. This is true Vietnamese cuisine. Came here with my kids and this is what we went with: #24 beef stew with noodle added a baguette which was off the hinges hittin switches in the lowlow on Lorenzo's BANGIN!!!! SO SAVORY AND DELISCIOUS. I compared it to the beef stew from Mama Hongs and truly it made Mama Hongs beef stew look like Amateur hour even though Mama Hongs is pretty good. I really couldn't believe how good the soup was. The meat was tender and the soup was just fanfuckintastic. #69 fried chicken with red rice was off the hinges. I love that it was cooked straight up deep fried without any breading. It was off the hinges hittin switches. #94 shrimp fresh rolls no pork. Def an app everyone should get. Also had the Pho with raw beef which was a winner as well fasho. Not as good as the beef stew but still very savory and very fresh tasting. The kids loved the noodles in the soup especially the noodles in the beef stew. The service wasn't great to be honest. Our waters were never refilled and the table was never serviced which sucked. Waiters were very straight and to the point. Very no non[sense what do you want attitude. For the prices they charge I was fine with the service. The Restaurant overall was clean. Half of our order came out very quickly and the other half came out within a reasonable amount of time. I would definitely recommend coming here if you want authentic Vietnamese cuisine. This is a review for service only. To preface this review. I've been coming to this restaurant for the better part of 20 years. The food was always good and the service, though not impeccable, was consistent and never a problem. However, since reopening from the pandemic, the service has been unbearable. -Long waits in between seating even though there are open tables. -You usually write your name on the waiting list and wait until called but now they don't even look at it, sitting people who've just walked in over customers that have been in queue. -It's not uncommon for them to miss orders or items (check your bill if something was missing). Even with that I still went back a few times hoping they worked out the kinks but it's been the same. I'm so fed up I haven't been back since and do a second-take when considering returning. Ok. Let's get something straight. The pho is not the problem. It's good. Really good in fact. My issue is that every time I've been to this location I find myself begging to be noticed for service. Most of the workers there look very unhappy. The older woman maybe the manager or owner is quite frankly the rudest person I've ever dealt with at any restaurant. The pho is really just a notch better than across the street at pho 999. The only thing pho so 1 does better is the egg rolls. Period. The people at pho 999 are so much more pleasant and happy. The environment is also just better all around. IMO if you're not to picky just head over to pho 999 and skip the wait time here at pho so 1. My first mistake was judging this place based on trying their food to go instead of dining in. But since my fiancè wasn't feeling well, his mom and I decided to order to go. We picked up a bun bo hue, which is my favorite thing to get at pho restaurants. An order of egg rolls, a beef and vermicelli noodles plate for his dad, a chicken pho for his mom, and a steak pho for my fiance. To be honest I wanted to go to bun me in Northridge since it's my pho place I go to everytime I'm in the valley ever since my college days, but this place was closer to their place and I wanted to give a new place a try. The egg rolls were burnt and hard. The bun bo hue definitely needed more flavor. I added the sriracha, hoisin, and jalapenos but I feel like a good bun bo hue has all the flavor in the broth alone. His mom liked the chicken pho and it was her first time having pho, but she did say it lacked flavor. My fiance liked his steak pho and ate it all up, but his dad unfortunately didn't like the smell of the food and didn't eat the beef and noodles plate. I tried some of his beef and I loved it. More than my bun bo hue. Parking is also hard to find here, it's right next to 99 Ranch. I would give this place another try but next time I would dine in. read more

I'm not sure how to start this, but I was just craving pho and will most likely not come back! Their veggie pho gave me a major headache post meal, and I'm pretty sure it's got MSG! I thought the interior looked like a huge renovated restroom! There were while tiles used on the floor and walls and it just reminded me of a big restroom :/ I only tried their pho which was actually bland, and not the best I've had.
