I tried something new ... the Banh Hoi entree, a different Vietnamese dish I haven't had before. Basically it's make your own spring rolls. The server showed me how to dip the rice wraps in the water and wrap with the vegetables and pork. So delicious and filling with lots of vegetables. Lot of carbs though with the rice noodles. I feel this was enough for two people to share. Will be back. Free parking in the lot. read more

Decided to try a new pho place since I was in the area, hungry, and in between appointments. I ordered a rice noodle and shrimp soup and an order of shrimp spring rolls (not pictured). The food was served fast, hot, and delicious. The bonus star was for their juicy lines. Usually you have to fight those things for it to give you a little zing but their's were super juicy! I have frequented this place for years. The servers let you choose where to sit and take your order without needing to jot it down. Furthermore, they even recommended I get pho oil on the side, which is rendered from the bones/meat they use for the broth! It made the pho so much richer! I also started getting the meat on the side as the hot broth cooks it soft whenever you place it in for 10 seconds. I will be coming again for many more years to come! read more

I usually come here for either pho or bun bo hue. I love that they let me change the meat for the bun bo hue. The portion is so huge that can keep me full for a whole day. In terms of food, I've only tried the Pho Gà here (rice noodle soup w/white meat chicken) for takeout. It was good. The ingredients appeared fresh, everything was packed well and the portion size was generous. The main reason I come here though is for the Vietnamese iced coffee. It's so delicious! Perfect balance of bold Vietnamese coffee flavor and sweetness from the condensed milk. I highly recommend trying it if you're a coffee lover. If you're super sensitive to caffeine or strong coffee makes you jittery, this is NOT the drink for you. The reasons I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because a) they only offer 1 beverage size, and b) they don't accept AmEx - only Visa or Mastercard. read more

I haven't been in here in years but it was a cold rainy afternoon, I had a couple of errands to run in the same center and I figured a warm bowl of goodness was just what I needed. Water was dropped off quickly that's about the only plus. Decided on my order and the person who came by said simply "you know what you want?" Placed my order and another man just came and plopped it in front of me. No words, no smile, no nothing. It tasted very good, and I was enjoying it....until I found a blue rubber band IN MY BOWL. Probably one of those rubber bands that holds veggies together? But still!! Appetite lost. At no point did anyone come by or speak to me. Debated pointing it out, but, who would I tell? Went up to pay and the man just held his hand out as if for me to turn over my card. I asked him the total, paid in cash, and just got out of there. I love this place! When I lived in the South Bay I used to go to the one in Gardena, and now that I live in the valley, I love this location! The pho is always delicious, balanced, and comes out fast. I usually get #20 shrimp noodle soup, or #22 Broccoli, carrot, and tofu with beef broth or chicken broth. This place has wonderful reviews which ended up being very misleading for me. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or the kitchen was having an off day but I ordered the chicken pho and the broth was very bland. The amount of fresh veggies and basil given was definitely more than usual which was really nice but in my experience, pho is all about the broth. The base is everything and you shouldn't need to add much to enhance the flavor. That was not the case here. The chicken pho broth was extremely watered down and just not very good at all. Definitely a disappointment. read more

I used to frequent the Van Nuys one when I lived in Sherman Oaks. Now that I live in West Hills, I was glad to find another establishment here. This location is bigger and roomier. There are more employees here and the food has always tasted good. It's not the best Pho, but it's up there in my book. even getting out of your car, you can smell the Pho wafting through the air. That's a good sign that you are in the right place. The broth here is missing something that puts it over the top, but I'm not complaining. A definite spot to go to when I'm in the mood. read more

I've ordered take out from here many times when I'm craving pho and spring rolls. It's easy to place my order over the phone, and my food is ready very quickly! I can't comment too much on the ambiance since I haven't ever dined in, but the staff has always been friendly. I appreciate that there is parking right outside. It's located just next to Panda Express and a boba shop. read more

PLEASE READ. Originally a 4 star place for good tasting pho and decent price, BUT this place was terrible during my most recent visit. Bean sprouts were slimy, jalapeños were slimy and wet, all the condiments were warm...it's as if the owners just said screw it, let's become cheap. Also the most important part, their broth is terrible now. You can tell it's almost like some sort of instant pho powder they used for their broth instead of actual hours simmering and making the broth. No flavor, depth, and just chemically. Won't be coming back again, which I regret saying as it was my favorite pho spot in the area. They can't even put in the effort to make a decent broth which is the make or break of a pho restaurant! I found Pho So 1 while searching for a restaurant that was open for dine-in. I saw some yelp reviews note that they were open and when I called the restaurant, they confirmed that it was indeed the case. My friend and I actually met up for lunch and we were seated as soon as we got in. It put us at ease seeing that they are definitely enforcing social distancing by increasing the distance between tables, adding 6 feet markings on the floor and also posting a sign outside the door that asks customers to wear a mask while in the restaurant. Now onto the food, I ordered the beef salad and a milk tea with boba while my friend opted for a vermicelli bowl. The food was delicious and it tasted fresh! The only thing we noted was that we had to wait a bit to get our check but that is understandable considering they were probably limited on staff and overwhelmed with take out orders. read more

Loved this place for years until I got violently ill out of both ends- sorry for the visual. Worst food poisoning ever. Had pho at least 3 times a month. Always gave a pass to the staff who squatted outside smoking cigarettes and hoped they washed up. Haven't had it in more than a year. Looking for another pho joint and hope they practice cleanliness and food safety protocols. Taking family out as they requested pho, but as of now one of my favorite dishes is just not appetizing. read more

I was told by my coworker that this restaurant has the best Pho. Finally, after driving by for about a year, I stopped by. My favorite place!! This is by far a very tasty place to get some bomb bomb Pho, I also love getting #26 it's pan fried noodles with chicken, steak, shrimp and veggies. I was never a really big fan of Pho until I gave it another try here and I really enjoyed it. The place is always busy and if you go at a right time you can seated right away. Their shrimp spring rolls are really good too, they serve it with a side of some delicious peanut sauce. The service could be better because there's been times where I'm already seated and the servers walk right past you and don't even bring menus or ask if you're ready. One time it took them 20 mins to take my order and that's because I had to get their attention and let them know I was ready to order. Wrong and missing ingredients. Go to the RESEDA location instead. I debated going here or the Reseda location but because I was low on time, I opted to give this location a try. I ordered the chicken egg noodle soup but got vermicelli instead. I also ordered bun bo hue and it was not even spicy. It looked and tasted like their regular pho broth which barely had any flavor. The bun bo hue usually comes with blocks of pig's blood and there wasn't any. Never coming back here again. read more

This has become our go-to Vietnamese place in the neighborhood. Husband loves the rare steak pho which still comes with a bunch of fresh vegetables. The pho broth is very tasty and I love it in colder weather. My 2year old also enjoys the plain pho. In hotter weather, I order the vermicelli and as I thought the charbroiled pork is much better! I love all the vegetables that come with the dishes here. We come for to-go orders and to eat in. They no longer have the parking lot outdoor seating but enjoyed it while they did! A perfect ending to a Monday, chicken pho and Vietnamese egg rolls. Delicious and well seasoned broth. Clear broth loaded with vermicelli and shredded chicken breast. Add basil, mint, cilantro and bean sprouts. I seriously didn't add anymore to it as I wanted to really taste the broth alone and it was perfect. If you're familiar with the Vietnamese egg rolls, you wrap it in a flat leaf lettuce add a mint or two leaves and roll it like cigar. Dip it in the fish and lime sauce and listen to the crunch. Egg rolls are crunchy and full of stuff and not just wrappers. I left planning when my next visit will be. And can't wait to share it with my friends and family. read more

Food comes out fairly quickly once you order and it's super fun to be able to watch them cook due to the giant glass wall in the kitchen. Place is always clean, has great lighting (you can actually see your plates), and the lot in back makes for fairly easy parking.
