I went in to try this place since this is new to Discovery Bay Area. This place is expensive and the food was not very good. I ordered Pho noodle soup and it was served lukewarm. There's nothing worse than lukewarm Pho noodle soup. I asked the waiter to warm it up and he did try by putting it in the microwave but it came back just a bit warmer. It was terrible. Everything we ordered was amazing from the food to the service. The portion sizes are worth the price, the flavors were authentic, and the calamari was "very off the hook" according to my 5 year old. Have gotten both takeout and dined in. I didn't like the pho but I think I just don't like pho. Vietnamese style pad Thai is good. Others diners are thinking 3.5 stars, good but not the best. They got pho and vermicelli bowls. The Thai iced tea is one of the greatest things I've ever drank in my life. Would give 3 stars but the iced tea makes it 4. In terms of ambiance, it's nice. We had 2 different Pho's. The food is VERY good but, the service a little slow. This is obviously a family run restaurant. We went during peak dinner hours and they had many take out orders and crazy busy inside also but, they handled it well. If they cross train some of the other employees I seen standing in the back, things would run much more smoothly. We would have ordered more drinks and dessert if they would have come to the table more often. We will definitely go back again. read more

We placed a to go order last night. I had the wonton soup and it was really good. It had pork, shrimp, noodles and wontons. We did order the large and the portions were very generous. My husband ordered the spicy pork and beef but he didn't love it. We will definitely come back as I my dinner was great and I'm sure he will find something equally as good. Ate here only once to know that this is my favorite Pho in the area. Parking is easy. Seating was no problem. Service was good and food came out fast. I ordered the combo pho bowl. Broth was rich and flavorful! Good amount of meats and noodles were soft and tasty. I usually add siracha and hoisin to my bowls but this one hit different so no need. Very good Vietnamese for DB/Brentwood. Everything was fresh and well made. Nothing too surprising, but the staples were spot on.

Thanks for opening up here in DB. So far we've tried the ribeye pho which definitely hit the spot. We'll try other dishes next time.

I tried to place an order by phone, but they were not taking phone calls so I used the online order option thru Uber which adds a fee to their menu items. I received an order ready notification. When I went to pick it up I was told they didn't have the order, but would get it right to me. 25 minutes later they told me my order was ready. I ordered a 4 piece spring roll and sliced pork vermicelli bowl with egg rolls. What I received was a 5 piece egg roll and what appears to be ribeye with shrimp and egg rice plate. Not even close to what I ordered. In addition the meat had what appears to be arm or chest hairs in with it. I'm totally disgusted. The restaurant was definitely overwhelmed by the number of orders they had, but they need to pay more attention to the basic health codes. read more

It was my husband and my first visit here. I'm half Vietnamese so am a little more picky with my Vietnamese food. The food was very good. We ordered beef pho with meatballs, bun Bo hue (spicy beef soup), egg rolls and salt and pepper chicken wings. The bun Bo hue is not bad but not the best we've had but everything else was excellent. It's a family owned business and everyone is so friendly. The waitress was very attentive. We are very excited to have a good Vietnamese restaurant in Discovery Bay and looking forward to more eats here. read more

Our meal was great! They give you lots of food. I had the Vermicelli bowl with Pork and Egg Rolls. I couldn't even finish it as I was full. The pork strips were tender. My husband had the Rib Eye bowl which was great as well. Not long of a wait either. We went at 4:45 p.m. So nice to have them in our town here in Discovery Bay. read more

I'm a huge pho fan in general. This could be the best pho I've ever had. My wife and I got shrimp and chicken pho and a side of grilled shrimp. The broth is best I've ever had. It's a thin rice noodle and plenty of chicken. The grilled shrimp was also great. Can't recommend enough and I will be here once a week for sure. read more

Had dinner last night for the first time food was excellent my only and one complaint is that each person got their meals at different times I sat waited for a vermicelli bowl when it finally came my fellow diners were halfway done with their meal. Will definitely ask next time for all of our meals to come at the same time because they do come out piping hot it was awkward they waited for mine I finally told them to start eating after 10 minutes. read more

I came to Pho Society and sat outdoors. I accidentally spilled my drink, tried to clean it up, and was respectful. An employee, female, rudely confronted me in a condescending attitude despite me trying to respectfully cooperate. I even purchased a soda to get napkins. I was calm and cooperative--but the employee who approached me spoke to me with high aggression, refused to help to allow me to clean up the mess, and left me feeling unwelcome. I usually support local businesses but this place had really bad service. The server didn't give me the right order and still charged me for it. The food that we did get portions were very small for 20+ dollars. I love pho but this places broth didn't taste anything like pho it tasted like raw beef boiled in tap water. Literally lacked salt and had no flavors like star anise, cardamom, cinnamon or coriander. I never like to leave bad reviews but this is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. If you don't believe me try it for yourself or compare this place to Golden gate pho and Creasian they have comparable prices and REAL Vietnamese Pho. read more

Hubby and I ordered a salt and pepper shrimp and wonton soup to go. Food was ready in 15 minutes. The food tasted delicious but the amount of food didn't seem to equate to the prices. The salt and pepper shrimp dish had only 8 shrimps for $12. The bowl with the wonton soup ingredients was rather small and only had about 6 wontons. I did like the other (beef?) pieces that came with the soup. The bok choy and shrimp were a nice addition to the soup. The soup did come with some rice noodles as well. read more
