No greeting, no smile, no personality, no sense of hospitality or sense of business. C'mon kid...you represent the establishment and you help set the mood for the whole place. That type of service, or lack thereof, is a clear sign that they're just interested in taking your money rather than giving you a culinary experience that'll bring you and others back for more again and again! The pho soup was bland and watered down. My wife got regular and I got large. But it was obvious that they were the same portion of noodles and beef with maybe a little more soup in mine to make it appear like a large. Noodle were undercooked and hard. And barely any beef - more like one piece of each type listed in the menu description. On top of that, I tasted freezer burn on the brisket. We ordered a regular bowl of pho dac bet (special nomination pho) $6.75 and their com bo luc lac (diced garlic steak with buttered rice) $8.95. I meannnn, if you look at my photo, my com bo luc lac was not worth $10. My mom just made this dish the other day and I realized I was getting ripped off. First, idk what kind of phone system they have but I tried calling in a phone order and I couldn't get through for like an hour and a half. My usual Pho place is Pho Rowland, but since I was at my sons house in Diamond Bar, I was hoping this place would fill the Pho gap. We ordered: Fried Egg Rolls-just ok, nothing special, it's surprisingly smaller than other pho places, about 2 1/2 inches, wish it was made with rice paper, it's just better. #29-vermicelli noodle salad with charbroiled beef, it's just ok, this one comes with 2 egg rolls, I don't know what else to say about this #31-vermicelli noodle salad with charbroiled pork, one skewer with 3 shrimps on it and 2 egg rolls. My pork was raw in a couple of spots. The shrimp was pretty good tho. #53-charbroiled beef rice plate with egg loaf and shrimp paste, again not great but just ok. The yellow rice was good. Ordered delivery through DoorDash. Received all the orders correctly. However, the vegetables and lemon that was pre-packaged looked like it has mold on it. I called the restaurant to let them know, and the guy over the phone told me that it is not mold. It is because their freezer has too high of a temperature which caused it to "look like" it is mold. I haven't been here since a couple of years before the pandemic as a work week lunch spot. I remember Pho Super Bowl for being pretty good, but I always avoided it because it was always busy around lunch time. For good reason! It's because they're good! 11/14/19 My first time trying this place. The pho soup was good. I was please with my food, but my actual visit was not pleasant. The short older man that took my order was not even paying attention to me when I was trying to place my order but rather rushing me. The place was not even packed for him to treat me that way. I was going to tell him no onions in my pho soup when he walked away from my table. When he brought me the soup, it had a lot of onion & I asked for an extra plate so I can take the onion out. He asked what I need an extra plate for? My response was I want to take the onion out, he simply took my soup away and must have said something while walking away because a few people turned to look at me. I will never stop there again. Delicious, cheap, and they take cards!! Love that this place is not far from my house and each to get to. I tend to swing by here if I have a short day at work and on my way home for lunch. Living in Chino, there are not many great pho places and driving all the way out to OC or San Gabriel is NOT worth it, so this place is perfect. It's located in a strip mall area across from a bank. They take both card and cash which is awesome because many Vietnamese places only take cash. Now, keep in mind, I go to a pho place FOR pho, not other items. Therefore, I have only tried the pho. I went with friends before who tried the rice dishes and said that was good too... but I come here for pho! First off, the prices are better than some of the other places in the area. Some charge over $10 for a bowl of pho, which is just ridiculous! Here a regular size bowl is $6.95 and a large bowl is $7.95. If I am starving, I will order the large bowl, but normally I order the regular bowl with a cup of iced Vietnamese coffee and that more than fills me up. The pho is tasty and the portion is a good size with lots of toppings in it. Some places are very stingy with the meats but this place gives you a good amount. Of course, you get the fresh veggies plate also. I always order the "special" which comes with a little bit of everything. I have tried the spring rolls before too and they were refreshing and tasted good also. But I do not order it often as it becomes way too much food for me. I have never had issues with service. They have always been nice to me and food comes out fast. Coffee here also tastes good and strong. I like that they give it to you in a to-go cup already and I do not need to ask for a to-go cup later on. I love coming here and will come here again when I need my pho fix. it gets the job done, pho super bowl is big and spacious and can easily fit large parties. The soup is nice and lighter tasting compared to what I'm used to but it was still good regardless. They accept cards here and you are welcome to split your bill. However, they do charge a service fee for larger parties even though you are seated apart. My friends also ordered their luc lac dishes and said it was good, so that's also another option for you if you don't want to eat pho here. We love pho, and today we tried Pho Super Bowl through delivery. My review is based solely on delivery and we have not been to the restaurant yet. The food itself was delicious. The broth was flavorful and the meats were fresh. The chicken fried rice and the egg rolls were delicious as well. Ordering through Yelp was very easy and delivery was just as promised. Just to get an idea of my experience with pho, I used to work for a pho restaurant for a year and a half during undergraduate study. Based on my time there, I have created a 4 criteria pho rating system: meat quality, broth, side vegetable quality, and noodles. With that in mind, let's get right into the review! Meat Quality: overall the meats are good quality, the portion sizes (at least for me) are on the smaller side. If I had to put a number to the meat quality it would be 4/5. If you like meat in your pho this is a solid choice. Broth: so pho places either use powder or bones to make the broth. Powder broth is very obvious with the lack of taste. At Super Bowl the broth is definitely made with bones. The strength of the broth is decent, but I think it could use a stronger flavor. For the broth I give it a 3.5/5. Side Vegetables: 0 complaints in this department, they have some of the best and freshest side veggies I've come across (and I've been to 50+ pho restaurants). Definitely a 5/5 here! Noodles: so for many people noodles are all the same, but that couldn't be further from the case. Noodle quality is a huge factor and should be more paid attention to. Super Bowl's noodle quality is standard, up to par. Firm and consistent texture, 4/5 for this. This review would not be complete if I didn't address the service. Seating and being served is crazy fast. On many occasions I got my food under 5 minutes. But the customer service is definitely lacking. Water/drinks are sometimes forgotten or not refilled, little to no follow up on the server's end and very little warmth from the staff. While I am used to this knowing how authentic asian restaurants are, the regular public would not receive this well. If I factored in service in my star rating it would not be as high. read more

This place is literally my gold standard for pho for a large number of reasons!!! The prices are extremely reasonable, as the majority of their pho dishes (minus the #32 combination, which features all their meats) cost around $6.25 for a regular size and $7.25 for a large. The pho is served piping hot, contains a generous amount of meat, and the broth is extremely soothing with a vibrant meaty flavor (unlike other pho places, where the broth is sometimes bland). Sometimes the quality of the meat can be a bit hit or miss (i.e. sometimes the brisket is super tough...and other times, it just melts in your mouth), but in general, it's fairly consistent and they seem to give you a good amount. I can usually get away with sharing a large, especially if I'm eating with a smaller eater, like my Mom. Come to think of it... ALL of their food is served piping hot, including their crispy pork egg rolls, which are a must order. The filling is super tasty and the egg rolls come with a ton of different garnishes (noodles, shredded carrots, cilantro, lettuce and fish sauce) to really dress them up, if that's your thang. The restaurant itself is actually clean, the waiters are pretty attentive, and the drink menu is extensive - which is pretty much the opposite of most pho places I've been to! I like their Thai iced tea, although it's a bit on the sweet side, so I recommend asking them to hold the whipped cream if you just want to enjoy the milky goodness of the tea itself. Best of all, they give you a warm tapioca coconut dessert soup at the end of your meal, which really caps the whole experience off beautifully! Ah, comfort food at its finest... what could be better than some steaming hot noodle soup in soothing broth on a cold, rainy day?! Quite honestly, nothing compares. read more

Parking is always available. They are never busy to the point that you won't be seated. I judge all pho places by pho tai and some type of rice dish (usually diced cube steak). The pho tai here was pretty damn good. The broth wasn't as oily (rich) like some places but it packed a lot of flavor. It was refreshing and very aromatic with a little bit of spicy kick. The noodles were the perfect texture and the type that I normally prefer. I don't know the name but it's the slightly chewy noodles that are clumped together. This is one of the few places that has spicy lemongrass chicken with rice so I ordered this instead of my usual diced cube steak. I had this dish at two other places so I am familiar with how it's suppose to taste. The chicken was juicier than the other places but flavor wasn't quite as strong. It was still very good and had good amount of spiciness to it. Place is pretty small so it's usually at least 80% occupied. Service was about average and food came out little bit slower than I anticipated. This is the most decent pho place in the area so I will definitely be back. My wife is also a fan. 3.5 STARS Pretty good food. I ordered the Beef Stew with egg noodles and it is literally filled with half a bowl of beef, tendon and mixed in tripe pieces (some edible, some quite inedible). I do have to say they did their tendon right-- I had a piece that melted in my mouth! I tend to like more noodles and since their egg noodles were just the right consistency-- not too soft and not too chewy, I wish I had more! The broth itself is more curry-like. It reminded me of tripe in dimsum places marinated in five-spice and curry powders. Definitely not lacking in the flavor department and different from other beef stews in other Viet places! I did try some of my bf's pho and it was not that salty and didn't have much MSG. We left feeling full and a bit thirsty but not as thirsty as some other places. Their Thai Iced Tea is VERY sweet though. They top it off with a bit of whipped cream, but if you wait until the ice melts into the tea, it should still be sweet but more bearable. Staff was nice and there are definitely a lot of regulars here. When we were leaving, I spotted the staff eating lunch at a communal table with sunny-side up eggs with minced meat and French bread and it looked so good! Wonder if I missed something on the menu?
