5A) Crispy Vietnamese Egg Rolls with Lettuce Wraps
    Katrina C.

Been coming here since I was in 4th grade and the quality and service are impeccable. The pho is a decent price and the broth is hearty and delicious. Egg rolls with lettuce wraps are a must! When ordering the food comes within 5-10 minutes. The ambiance is clean and the workers are very friendly.

We came on a Saturday around 2. It was pretty packed inside. It had a hole in the wall vibe, but don't let that discourage you. We were seated promptly, and we ordered one large Pho Supreme and one small Pho Brisket. The pho dishes came with a side of herbs, limes, and jalapeños. The broth was very flavorful, and you could tell it had been mastered over many years. The noodles were nothing special but still tasted great. The meat itself was a bit tougher, but still pretty good overall. It's pretty in line for what you would expect for a pho place, although the broth is the standout. We would come again if we were in the area.

Pho tasty is very reliables I love their egg rolls they're always crunchy and fresh. They came out very fast. I got the pork vermicelli bowl. I like the sauce that's comes with it and it's very fresh with all the herbs and veggies. The prices are very fair too. The service was fast too but it wasn't busy when we went.

It's a hometown staple that's been around since I was a kid. The service is fast and the food is good. I love the bun bowls here more than the soup lately that's just a preference of mine since the weather is a bit warmer lately. They've done a good job with the updating /remod over the years. This place also can get packed during peak meal hours.

I really enjoyed this place. The interior is remodeled and looks nice. It didn't take long for my food to come out. The egg rolls were so crispy. I like the broth but wish the noodles weren't so soft. I also think it's a fair value.

Pho with Tofu & Broccoli (here, with beef broth--you can choose vegetable broth), rare steak, and (free) white onions

This is place has been a staple for us and our tofu and broccoli loving friends. I usually get the pho tai (pho with rare steak) but always feel jealous of the tofu and broccoli: today, for the first time I found my perfect order--just get the side of rare steak and add it in (*epiphany*) and have the best of both worlds. Silky pho noodles, exquisite broth, family owned, indoor and outdoor seating (with heaters for cold days), fast friendly service! Parking can sometimes be a challenge, but that's never stopped us, and we've never waited for more than a few minutes.

Pho Tasty is a no frills, legit, and authentic Vietnamese eatery in the Artesia area. They have their own parking lot here with a decent amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a modest setup with a good amount of seating. For their menu, they have all of the classics to choose from. I got the Com Ga Roti and wifey got the Combination Pho. You really cannot go wrong with anything you order here. There is a reason why this spot has over 2,000+ positive reviews. Pho Tasty is Viet gang approved!

Another Revisit. Great as always. It was a rainy Christmas Eve, this place opened up at 11am sharp. Entered and had the option to pick my own table. Just had one thing in mind which was a Pho Combo soup large. 5 minutes passes and wala! Received my combo large. Nothing short of this experience. Was treated nicely. The staff is very professional. Excellent choice for pho. Parking lot gets crowded, definitely this place is the spot in cerritos!! You won't be dissapointed.

We came here on a Friday night and got seated right away. Parking can be a bit of a challenge as it is small and a bit tight. Restrooms are available and are clean. Customer service was attentive and our food came out in good timing. My beef and rice had tons of flavor and the crispy egg rolls hit the spot!

Located in Artesia off Pioneer and South Street, Pho Tasty is a local's spot for a pretty good bowl of pho. It's pretty no frills, but the broth is aromatic, it's loaded with flavor, and you have everything you need at the table to get the balance you want. Cost of a bowl of pho has gone up significantly over the years; however, that's unfortunately the case everywhere. A small bowl of pho dac biet is $13 and a large bowl is $15. The biggest difference between the two sizes is that the large bowl has a ridiculous amount of rice noodles. If you don't need a double (or possibly triple) portion of rice noodles, then the small is good. I do like having varied textures in the pho dac biet from tripe, tendon, and meatballs; however, if you only want brisket, then you can get your bowl of pho for about $1-2 cheaper. I also like to get a side order of pickled onions to give a nice acidic kick to my meat and soup. We also usually get an order of their pork and shrimp spring rolls ($8 for 2) and they're OK. This is a good place for a good bowl of pho that doesn't try to be over the top. The prices are OK and it will always be busy during peak hours.

Came here for dinner around 5:30, which I thought was early, but the place was already packed and busy. The parking lot is pretty small, but we managed to snag a spot. We waited about 10 minutes before getting seated. I ordered the pho dac biet (regular), and the broth was super flavorful -- didn't even need to add hoisin sauce. I just tossed in some chilis and sriracha to make it spicy, and it was perfect. Our food came out really fast too; they took our order right away and everything hit the table shortly after. Overall, a solid pho spot with great broth, quick service, and a lively atmosphere. I'd definitely come back!

First time here and it was really good! When I got here there was quite a wait, but the wait is definitely worth it. The staff is really busy and they do their best. Now the food, the pho is really really good. The broth is super clean and they give you a big portion! I got the #11 (not pictured) with rare steak and brisket, the charbroiled pork chop (not pictured) - but this was the best pork chop I have at pho restaurants, definitely getting this again. And lastly the egg roll and spring rolls which can never go wrong! Overall, everything here was phenomenal

Thai Tea and the Pho with brisket and steak.

If you're looking for a restaurant that will get you in and out quickly, this is a great option. It was a weekend night at 8 o'clock, so I was worried we would have to wait a while. But despite the restaurant being packed with people and a little loud, they immediately seated us. The service throughout was very fast, and we had our food within no time. We both got the classic pho; however, I got mine with steak, and my boyfriend got his with brisket. We also got the eggrolls, and he got a Thai tea. The steak was very tender and juicy, and the eggrolls were probably some of the best I've had. Overall, I loved this restaurant and would come again, especially if I had a cold and needed some Pho to cure me!

It is my first time here but saw yelp n just ordered what looked appetizing--Garlic Shrimp Egg Noodle (fried not noodle soup) The dish came with a soup on the side and the entree, which included 3 slices of pineapple probably to wash away the garlic after eating. The noodles were clumps together and tasted a bit raw/flour-y. That wasn't too bad, but would've liked it without that taste. The shrimp tasted ok...there were a good portion. The garlic...honestly this was something I didnt like as i knew this flavor...its either raw garlic that is passed due and has those clear parts and a bit sour or those preserved garlic in citeic acid, but tasted as if it were left out. Like a wet dish rag smell. I know this as i've used large bag of garlic from Costco that became this as I didnt use by the best buy or that it had fridge burns that cause the bruising and when I used it my dishes, it tasted lik this. This flavor ruined the dish and I didnt eat it all and took home thinking I can pick out the garlic pieces and just eat the rest. This took off 2 stars. Service was ok, altho I only ordered, food came, and asked for check, so didnt need much service. I added a Khrak Cambodian iced coffee at the end to take home... this was ok too. Just Cambo version of a Vietnamese Coffee. This here was a little darker coffee flavor I felt and less sugar (which is good for me). Im not sure I'll come back, not because of the food or rating, but because there are plenty of places to go for lunch and chose this place for today. Thank you.

I've always liked this spot as a late-night eatery, and the food itself is still good, the broth is flavorful, and the noodles and other dishes have generally been enjoyable. That's why I was especially disappointed by how our most recent visit was handled. We arrived around midnight and put our name on the waitlist. There were a few parties ahead of us, and around 12:30 AM, the host came out and explained that at that point, seating was no longer guaranteed, despite the restaurant being scheduled to close at 1:30 AM. We decided to continue waiting and were eventually seated around 1:00 AM. We ordered immediately, and our food came out shortly afterward around 1:15 AM. At exactly 1:30 AM, while we were still finishing our meal, our server came over and said that they were closing and asked if we wanted boxes for the remaining food. Technically, it was phrased as a reminder and an offer to provide boxes for our food, but the implication was very clear: we needed to leave. That was what made the situation particularly uncomfortable. We completely understood that the restaurant was closing and had no intention of staying past closing to socialize or linger. We were literally still eating the food we had just ordered around 1:15 AM. We had only been seated for about 30 minutes, ordered immediately, and were already nearly finished when the server approached us. We had also already paid our bill. The timing just left an awkward feeling. If the restaurant closes at 1:30 AM and customers who are seated close to closing are expected to be completely finished and out by that time, I think that should be communicated before seating them. It would have allowed us to decide whether waiting until 1:00 AM was worthwhile. I also understand that employees need to finish their shifts and close the restaurant on time, and I respect that. My issue is more with the overall communication and the way the situation was handled. Being seated at 1:00 AM, ordering immediately, receiving our food around 1:15 AM, and then essentially being told at 1:30 AM that it was time to leave made the experience feel rushed and uncomfortable. This isn't a review based on the food, the food is still good. It's about the overall experience and customer service during this particular visit. Unfortunately, what should have been a nice late night meal ended with an awkward feeling that stayed with us after we left. Because of this experience, I can no longer give this location the five stars I previously gave it. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback, because I do think the situation could have been handled much more smoothly and with clearer communication upfront.

I absolutely loved the crispy bottom layer because it added such a satisfying crunch to every bite. The inside stayed really juicy and flavorful with a good balance of pork, shrimp, and chives. The Juicy Pork Dumplings had soup inside, which was rich and savory. I've had soup dumplings before where the wrapper breaks apart too easily, but these held together nicely while still staying soft and delicate. The Wonton in Spicy Sauce was my personal favorite from the entire meal. The spicy sauce flavor was savory with a little sweetness. I'm typically not good with spice, so this is at a spice level that should be very manageable for everyone. I absolutely loved the spicy sauce, so I started putting it on everything. Definitely put the sauce on the chicken fried rice! The Chicken Fried Rice was a great dish to pair with everything else that we ordered. With several orders of entrees, a solid rice dish is a must order for any Chinese meal. The rice had a nice savory flavor that I enjoyed, and there was a generous amount of chicken mixed throughout the dish. I even asked the waitress if they do anything special with the fried rice because it tasted better than many other restaurants. It felt comforting and balanced compared to some of the heavier dishes. The Dry Fried String Beans were cooked perfectly with a slight crispness while still being tender. The garlic and seasoning gave them so much flavor that it honestly didn't even feel like I was eating vegetables. I do have to note that these were very much on the salty side, so if you don't like foods that are too salty, I would choose a different dish. The Orange Chicken was really crispy and juicy, which I appreciated because soggy orange chicken is always disappointing to me. The sauce had a nice citrus flavor while still keeping that classic sweet savory taste. The Spring Rolls were simple with vegetable filling on the inside with a crispy outside. I would try a different appetizer next time. The Kung Pao Shrimp was packed with flavor and had a really satisfying combination of textures. The shrimp were tender, and the peanuts added a great crunch to the dish. I thought the sauce had a really nice balance of spice and savoriness without becoming overwhelming. Another dish I really enjoyed was the Beef Roll Pancake. The pancake itself was nice and chewy throughout each bite. The sliced beef with green onions and sauce all wrapped together made every bite really flavorful and satisfying. For drinks, I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba. I really liked that the jasmine tea flavor was noticeable instead of being overly sweet like some milk teas can be. The boba had a soft chewy texture, and the drink itself paired perfectly with the spicy and savory dishes from the meal. Staff: All of the staff members were quick and friendly Ambiance: Indoor seating only. A good amount of parking in the parking lot that is shared with other shops in the plaza.

At first, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the overall experience was better than I anticipated. The seasoning was a little strong, and some dishes had a fairly familiar, standardized taste. Nothing was bad, and everything was prepared well, but I do feel a little disappointed when the authentic flavors of traditional Chinese food become less noticeable. There were four of us, and we ordered about eight or nine of their most popular dishes. My parents really enjoyed the food. I have worked in China before, so I may be a little more sensitive and particular when it comes to Chinese food.
