    Pan Fried Egg Noodles Beef
    Zachary S.

The food was good some more than others. The wings were crunchy and juicy, the pan fried egg noodles had good flavor and textures, the crab rangoon's crispy. The Thai son delight was bland it is a simple dish but it had no flavor. I would come back to try other items still. Service was quick and friendly. We joked around with the server even over something that happen while we were there. It's a nice restaurant for the South Park Marios area.

Pretty good food. My wife loves it and I enjoyed it. I gave 3 stars because I'm not going to crave it necessarily. I got the egg noodle soup combo with poached seafood. The seafood was good. The broth was as expected and the noodles were alright. If we order again I think I'll get the seafood pho.

I like this place because it's conveniently located, in Southpark Meadows, and has Vietnamese Coffee. The food is really hit and miss, much like the service. I've had sushi that was ok and some that were absolutely terrible. I had Pad Thai that tasted like it was reheated, with the noodles being skinny and hard as opposed to wide and delicious. It's not somewhere I would go out of my way to eat at but it's ok. I like the food better at Yoshiko Ramen Sushi bar but they don't have Vietnamese coffee or even good Thai Tea/coffee.

Famous Yelp review people like me know that a good restaurant has a widely diverse menu. Pho Thaison (that's how it's spelled on the sign) has a LOT of delicious dishes that delight deserving dinner seekers. I highly suggest the Singapore Beef, a dish so good it had me "singing to the poor"! (Get it???) Seriously, the satisfying scrumptious scintillating smattering of superbly seasoned sizzling Asian styled Fajitas is a serendipitously spicy sojourn into the succulent world of Singapore. The aroma arouses ardent lovers of an exotic cuisine named for a place few people can find on a map. The carnivore consumer will order the curry, which follows traditional - but unremarkable from other places. I love the rice. It's great to like something and get 2000 of them at once. But the fantastic star of this place is the phenomenal Pho, a fantasy food for which the place is named. Swimming in a sea of dancing noodles, the chopped green-onions and jalapeños ceremoniously circle the beef or poultry in a jolly union of fabulously featured Pho, a famous feast for all five senses. For Vegans and Soy-people, there are a few items for you too. The vegan curry made with spongy tofu and bland meatless broth with non GMO spices is a good choice. Cosmetically, there is work to be done. Thi's front door is papered with signs that don't exactly make sense. From a distance, all the signs made it look like the signs one sees on a place that is about be closed by the health department But the larger problem is that it is confusing. "No Sushi every Saturday!" Is an example. I can't figure out whether that means. Four year old Covid notifications are also a tad unnecessary. Inside, the owners spared no expenses with the no frills chairs and tables, but that does help its authentic vibe Featured in the dining area is a 50-gallon fish tank. I like fishies, so I went to observe the little fellas. The tank however was really dirty. I thought I saw a guppy or a clown fish struggling to sift through the silt and murky water. But that turned out to be a barnacle. The filter was populated with gurgling gasping lifeforms straining to get even one tiny bubble of oxygen. The slime on the glass reminded me of some kind of nuclear reactor plant. When I finally made out a cute colorful fishy, I saw he was able to deftly swim upside down! An amazing feat! Then I realized I was looking at his reflection. The fish tank and the confusing paper notices are what cost this place a whole star. Luckily, you don't have to observe the Union Carbide plant that doubles as the Pho-Fish-tank. But YES! The food and prices make this place a definite venue for anyone looking for good Asain cuisine!!! I took some helpful pictures.

Tofu pad Thai. About 3 pieces of tofu

This is terrible and I truly mean terrible thai. I used to go to the location north all the time in 2016 but moved where tonee wasn't one near me. Moved to south Austin and there is one 5 min away at SPM. Decided to give them another go and WOW. Quality has took a steep nosedive and prices have gone up drastically. HEB has better sushi, one small spring rolls was $3+ and the pad Thai (if you want to even call it that!) was super greasy. Do not go here, find another place. I am not kidding.

    Pad Thai-Son shrimp

I've been coming to this restaurant for ages and it's good and quick every time. My go to is the seafood pho or vegetable pho. This time I went with the traditional Pad Thai with noodles and shrimp. It's not very spicy so I add the spicy sauce over it. I think they've made it more mild to accommodate those that can't take the Thai chilies. I also tried the salmon sashimi. The sauce was a bit odd that came with it as it was sorta a mayonnaise ketchup combo but it also had soy sauce and green shiso was better than any unnecessary additional sauce. The salmon was fresh and tasted good. This a great place to get a fusion of Thai, Japanese and Chinese food. It's a diner vibe with the worn out booths and some tables in the middle to dine in or get takeout. I love going here on a blustery day and sipping hot tea and eating pho as I relax dining in and stare out the window I to the parking lot. It's right next to Orange Theory and The Joint chiropractic office on the corner. The mid aged lady that works there always remembers me when I come in and they're always very nice and accommodating. Perhaps it's a family run business as I get that feel from all who work there. You know they care about their customers and want to make sure you have a good dining experience. It's a perfect place to get lunch or early dinner for not a lot of money.

Overcooked and charred grill beef salad.
    Airon A.

Very unhappy customer. Called my regular order in for the grilled beef salad. Verified several times that I wanted the salad over the phone because I could not understand what the person talking my order was saying. When I got to the restaurant to pick up my order they had prepared a beef soup for me. Salad has 2 syllables and soup has 1 not not sure where the communication breakdown happened, but my order was not ready when I arrived. They did correct the mistake and the salad was prepared very quickly within minutes which was good. However when I got to the car and checked my order there was no fish sauce dressing included. So I had to go back into the establishment and when I asked about it the cashier proceeds to argue with me that it was included and when she grabbed my bag from my hands and checked it was not in there. So very frustrated she goes to the back and communicates with someone in Spanish and proceeds to come back with my dressing. I felt like I was being gaslighted about my order and if the dressing was really there. The restaurant was not very busy with only one customer so I don't understand how I experienced such horrible customer service. To make matters worse my beef was charred and overcooked and hard to chew for a $14 salad. Very disappointed in how this was handled and do not plan on going back.

    Beef Pho + Crab Rangoons

Coming back with another review because i was dreaming of this place! After an excellent pho, I had to try more dishes. This time we were able to dine in and the waitstaff was very nice to us! Our food came out quite fast, as it did on our last visit. For the food, we ordered pad Thai (a personal favorite dish of mine) and combination fried rice. I requested the pad Thai be spicy (just "spicy" not "really spicy" as our waitress called it), and it was the perfect amount of spice to have a kick while still allowing you to taste the flavor (and not just be suffering with your mouth burning the whole meal). The reason for the continued 4 stars is just that the flavors in some of the dishes are different / not exactly my taste. The pad Thai had the right amount of spice, and quite a bit of sauce which I like, but it was a little more BBQ tasting than expected. The fried rice was awesome but next time we'll ask for it to be a little spicy too (for a better kick). Also, I got a Thai tea and it may be my favorite in Austin!! Great ratio of flavors, great tea! We will be back for more dishes (want to try the sushi), friendly service, and a great value for your meal!

Extra extra spicy Pad Thai. It actually had a bit of spice to it. apologies for the bad photo, but this was a quick pic.

The bowl itself came loaded with meat--they definitely weren't skimping to save money here. The meat-to-noodle ratio felt great, and every bite actually had substance instead of leaving me fishing around for toppings. As for the broth, I landed somewhere in the middle. It wasn't quite as clear or light as I personally prefer, leaning toward a fattier, milkier undertone that almost reminded me of a Vietnamese pho take on tonkotsu. The flavor itself was undeniably very good, but the richness may have been a bit too much for me personally. One way I usually judge how much I love a pho broth is whether I want to sip the bowl down to the very end, and this one wasn't quite light enough for me to want to do that. I've had richer and deeper pho flavors elsewhere, but I still appreciated the flavor profile here and could absolutely see why this place is so popular. It feels hearty, comforting, and satisfying in a way that clearly resonates with many people. Despite how packed the restaurant was, the atmosphere ended up being surprisingly pleasant. Service moved very quickly, which honestly impressed me given how busy everything felt. Even with the crowd, I didn't dislike the spacing or setup at all--the restaurant still felt comfortable, and the sound of people enjoying their food all around added to the lively, welcoming energy rather than making it feel overwhelming. Overall, Pho Phong Lưu ended up being one of those places where I completely understood the hype, even if it didn't become my personal favorite pho spot. While the broth leaned richer than my preference, I still enjoyed the experience and definitely look forward to trying other dishes next time.

I can't eat pho without it, so I called the store and was told it was offered but that he must not have heard the employee asking. I tried to eat the pho anyway, and it ended up being one of the worst bowls of pho I've ever had. I'm Vietnamese, so I know what good pho should taste like. The broth was extremely bland and watered down, with no aroma or real pho flavor. Without hoisin sauce it was even worse. I tried adding seasoning to make it taste decent but nothing helped. The noodles were also hard and clumped together in one big chunk. I had to microwave them for about three minutes just to get them to separate. The service is amazing as well, the servers are super sweet and are very quick to serve you and get what you need. The menu offers a bunch of things, appetizers, main dishes, desserts, and the drinks! I love how the desserts and drinks are also Vietnamese (most of the time I notice restaurants tend to have the basic selection of fountain drinks and desserts, but this restaurant has a wide variety of drinks and desserts so you can try something new every time you come here!) Most of all, there's a bunch of vegan dishes which I absolutely love. The food is always delicious I've been trying the vegan dishes recently and I love them a lot (as someone who doesn't like vegan dishes normally)!
