I'm Vietnamese and was looking for a place to grab quick snacks. Pho Thanh did not disappoint. I ordered the shrimp goi cuon with no port, and they gave me extra shrimp. And the banh was piping hot, like freshly made--better than any I had in the OR. Friendly family business and the best Vietnamese fast food this far! the workers here are so sketchy. i swear they're paying people from outside the company to do extra work and bring meat in. there were sketchy looking guys cleaning appliances out front. i also saw a random sketchy guy pull a large slab of raw meat out of his backpack in exchange for pho soup. our server was eating at a table before taking our order. no hand washing nothing. after our order she went back to her food. there's pantry food and ingredients all over the customer tables and floor. the water cup was dirty and when my food came out there was a HAIR in my soup noodles. we got the soup exchanged but i refused to eat just because i was already turned off. i only ate a piece of meat and it had a weird taste. this place is weird i felt like i was losing my mind observing the place. read more

Vietnamese food is so much more than Pho, and Pho Thanh has a great selection to choose from. The star of the show for me definitely has to be the Bun Bo Hue. The bbh broth was clean, rich, and umami. The bowl was filled with lots of meats, the blood jello is my fave. Sounds a little exotic but when done right, gives the best texture addition. There's nothing I would fix about this BBH. The restaurant itself isn't very big. Half of the shop is like a small grocery/convenience store. The parking lot is decent, but shares the space with a few other shops in the plaza. It can get pretty busy. I also had the banh khot, for me It was a 10/10. I just love the texture of the crispy outside and soft pillowy inside. You can see each piece has a shrimp, the dipping fish sauce is what makes or breaks a Vietnamese restaurant tbh lol. For my preference It was a little on the sweeter side, but still a great pairing. If I was to knit pick, the only thing that throws me off is all the lettuce for wraps was iceberg. This is just personal preference but romaine looks and taste better for plating lol. The noodles were slightly over cooked and stuck together and the soup was a bit on the more oily and salty side but still good overall. The proteins were mediocre with the brisket on the chewier side. Service: 4/5 - doesn't really speak English but very friendly! At 2:00 PM on a Sunday, still quite a few to-go customers so it took a while to order and pay. Ambiance: 4/5 - a grocery store on half and the restaurant on the other side. No AC or fan, nothing on the big screen TV but random sounds are still coming out of the speakers. A huge flower wall cuts the kitchen off from view. Clean but definitely worn furniture. We wanted to get away from the bigger joints and give smaller places a try. This place was not the best but I've also had worse. The convenience is that they're open late until 2am. The only server is also the person bagging, the cashier, the waitress, and the one taking phone and physical orders so service could be a bit slow since she's only 1 person doing it all which is understandable. There's a market/fridge side but I didn't wander over to check it out. We all got the pho dac biet special. I mean like I said I've had worse but this place needs a lot of work on their broth. Still giving 4 stars since it wasn't horrible and service was okay. We asked for pickled onions and nuoc beo which is green onion stems in the oil from the broth lol they brought out sliced red onions (not pickled but I didn't mind) and 2 minutes later their nuoc beo congealed so quick it was thick and unedible lol! Sanitary and service are not priority in this restaurant. Kitchen is always dirty and messy everytime I come. Never any hand soap in bathroom for workers or customers. This explained all flies and moldy smell in this restaurant. The price is very expensive for the quality of service and food you get. Really authentic Vietnamese food. I know because my wife comes from Vietnam and she says it is really good. The place offers a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes including a $99 lobster pho that I have never seen anywhere. Me and my husband went 3 times in one week- it was that good hahaha he got a chicken bahn mi and I got the tofu bahn mi. We also tried their fresh spring rolls and bahn beo chay (veggie steamed rice cake).This visit we tried pho and lemon salted side.
