    54. Com Tam Bi Cha Suon Nuong
    Melissa L.

Went on friday morning and the com tam bi cha suong nuong was so fresh!! Literally a gamechanger! The grilled pork and steamed egg was so good. The broken rice was also nice and fresh. I definitely came in at a good time. I really enjoyed it more than my previous visit when it was my first time ordering it. 10/10. The fish sauce was also good - sweet. I will definitely get this dish again.

Always on the hunt for a good pho place, this place did not disappoint. It's a very clean and friendly atmosphere inside. The staff was very eager to help and very helpful with the menu. The large bowls are a lot! But very well made. Add in the accoutrements and this is some of the best fuck in the area.

Mom pop Vietnamese that has all your staples. Bun rieu was flavorful and a great portion. Located in a plaza next to the mekong market area. Egg rolls were fresh and meaty!

Best Vietnamese grilled pork in town! My go to is the Bun Thit Nuong + side egg roll (cha gio). Super hole in the wall place off the mesa Asian district on dobson. We didn't think the Pho was that special but usually get the Pho with brisket (pho tai nam). Super crunchy and crispy crepe (banh xeo). Service is quite fast for food orders and even to-go orders. It definitely is hard to find this place if you're visiting for the first time and the driveways can get confusing as two only go to the dominos in the front. There is a 2.99% credit card processing fee, so bring cash to save. Interior design is a bit lacking but the attention is paid to the food and less on aesthetics.

Visiting from the Bay Area so expectations for great Vietnamese food in AZ wasn't high but wow I didn't think it could be that bad. First, you should know we got a 25 min uber here so we were kind of committed to eating here. Upon walking in you can tell the place was kind of run down and unfortunately it was very filthy. There were old food and stains on the soup spoons and dipping bowl. The walls were full of grime and stains. I was actually very nervous about drinking the water cause it had a smell to it. Like I said we were kinda stuck eating here and ordered the Pho Tai and spring rolls. The spring rolls had old shrimp and veggies. I couldn't finish it. Pho was alright honestly, I liked the broth but you can tell it has been sitting for a few days. But didn't make me feel great when it started to separate while I was eating. As a Viet, you can sometimes judge a restaurant by their veggies and these ones were baddddd. Some of the basil were already browning and the bean sprouts were soggy! I am surprised they have as high of a rating but based on the reviews it must've been the place to go for authentic Vietnamese food so I hope they find their way back!

One of the best pho restaurants in Arizona. I got the veggie pho, however everything on the menu looked delicious. Our server was so nice and helpful and really ensured we had what we needed. The price was really fair, which allowed us to try the banh mi! Which was great! I will be coming back!

Service is TRASH here.. The guy that might be the owner or who ever he is that hands (throws) out the menus when you get there, is rude asf. It's every time that we come here he serves us with the same attitude and I've given this place a chance because the pho is good and also I understand that sometimes you can be having a rough day but I noticed that it's when people of color that walk in through that door his whole mood changes. Don't let it be a white person or another Asian cus he's happy to attend. My brown and black people, take your money to H-mart! Their food court offers fire items! Specifically the far left kiosk in the very back! Love their seafood noodle plate #2 Also. I know you might read it.. CLEAN YOUR RESTAURANT.. INCLUDING WALLS...it's filthy...

Good solid Vietnamese food. Hole in the wall spot. Parking can be tough when it's busy. Food was solid. No complaint

This is my second time eating here, but the first time it was to go and figured I had a bad batch. I ordered the Pho Tai XL, and had high expectations. I saw they make their own chili oil in the front and was like oh this is going to be good. The soup is simply too sweet. There's good flavor to the broth you can taste the star anise, cinnamon, but gd it's sweet. I tried to salvage it with salt and chili oil and sriracha, but it's too far gone. We also ordered the Bun Rieu and Com Tam - which that was also good flavor but too sweet according to my fellow diners. The bun rieu I could definitely taste the crab paste, but yeah just too sweet. It's not a light sugar flavor either it's like rock sugar sweet. Also the portion sizes...hmm for my XL large Pho it did have a good portion of noodles, but meat was still like a regular portion in my opinion. It seemed like it was the same amount of meat as would be in a normal area. Overall, food was sweet and not worth.

I had no idea this restaurant existed in this plaza and so glad that I found it on Yelp. We had lunch here on Sunday and it was not busy as there was only one more group of people dining in and the three of us. The employee greeted us and told us to pick a table. He quickly dropped off the menus and brought out cold water as we sat down. We ordered: One XL steak and brisket pho One order of BBQ pork spring rolls One order of egg rolls One combination fried rice One XL Thai tea The food came out rather quick. We got the egg rolls and spring rolls first, then the Thai tea, and finally the fried rice and soup. The soup was HUGE and def enough for the three of us to share. The meat was plentiful and the broth was flavorful. The fried rice was cooked well and had shrimp, chicken, and beef. The spring rolls were my favorite and my mom loved the egg rolls as they had a lot of flavor and were crispy. The Thai tea was creamy, cold, delicious, and we even bought more to take home. Service was good and prices were reasonable. Overall, cant wait to come back! Don't let the area deter you from here!

I ordered XL and i have to complain cause i dont even see the noodle. Lol. They need to train the server .

I would give 0 star if i can .I came here offen and regular here with my family and Co-worker i been send them here. Its friday and i know they are busy but i walked in at 7:30 and i saw his attitude right away, what did we do? Idk maybe we late or what and he started to argument with me when i said are we late or what ? thats why u are not happy, as a server u need to know how to serve their customers, please respect we come here to eat cause i like it here. I dont feel welcome anymore and i wont forget to tell everyone i know about this situation. When i said i dont want to argue with u anymore (the mean guy he keep talking even my dauywas next to me, everyone here are good the owner are very nice except the mean server.

My go to pho spot in AZ, Pho Than Thuanh is loved by me and all my friends. Everything we order from here is excellent. From the 1A to the Bun Bo Hue, spring rolls and sandwiches as well, everything that comes out the kitchen is excellent. I honestly visit AZ from Cali just to eat from this place. If you need a good pho spot, look no further than here! The staff is also very nice once they start recognizing you as a regular haha!

The first time I had it, I actually couldn't stop thinking about it because I was genuinely surprised with how good it was. I also noticed that they are very consistent with the taste of the broth. Usually when I get pho, the broth doesn't always taste the same but here at Saigon it does. The broth is very rich and savory. I also noticed they add a lot of noodles which I love but I also wish they added more broth. The meat is also very tender, I always go with the brisket and it always tastes great. I personally like my soup to have extra green onion, unfortunately if you do ask for extra there is a charge of $2. I also recommend the egg rolls, they're packed with flavor and honestly it's just a good appetizer to have before your pho. The restaurant itself is beautiful and very spacious. Every time I've gone there's never any wait. The service has also been great, I've had maybe 1 time where it wasn't as great but it was still good. The food always comes out fresh and very hot. Overall, I love this restaurant so much and I will continue coming back!

My aunt was served a bowl that was dirty on the outside (yes... the bowl, not just the table -- see the photo I attached). Not exactly appetizing... and she didn't eat it at all, it was completely untouched. We told the staff immediately, and instead of, I don't know.. like maybe apologizing or replacing it like a normal restaurant?.. They basically said it was our fault and still charged us for the untouched dish. So just to confirm: you can serve dirty dishes and still get paid? That is a interesting business model, I've never seen anything like it! Then they hit us with a 20% service fee, which is honestly kind of iconic considering the service was: * ignoring customers * denying what we clearly told them * and charging us anyway Like... thank you for the experience I guess??? And to top it off, after I actually ate there, I had the worst stomach ache and diarrhea. So NOT only do you pay for food you don't eat, you might also leave with a free health issue! LOVE THAT!!! As someone who is Vietnamese, this was just embarrassing. You expect better standards, better hospitality, and at the very least... clean bowls??? Overall, if you enjoy paying for untouched food, being gaslit, and risking your stomach, this is your place. Otherwise, I'd look for somewhere else to eat.

Being stranded in a hotel with no transportation leaves. You limited options for food. Lucky for me, there were a couple restaurants on the street. I had seen this place, but noted that it was only open Thursday through Sunday. So it was my lucky day to go there on a Thursday. From the street, the place doesn't look like much. It's located in a strip mall, with just a lonely sign at the top, and a couple of stone lions out front. Front. I really wasn't sure what to expect. But reading on Yelp The rave reviews that it got gave me hope for a great meal! Walking inside, the place is neat as a pin, very clean, with plenty of seating. Beer bar at the back of the room and a couple of TVs on the walls. The decor is very contemporary, and looks up to date. I had ordered a Thai iced tea and a water to start with. I was brought a plastic bottle of water and my Thai iced tea in a plastic cup. Not quite the restaurant experience I am used to, but you know what? It was. Okay. The Thai iced tea was very tasty and I could have drank at least three more of them. I had ordered the chicken wings, and of course I had to order them extra crispy. You get six wings, three drums and three flats, with some sauce on the plate for $12.99. for $12.99. they did not seem like they were extra crispy., and the breading on the wings I really couldn't identify. It seemed like it might be panko crumbs, but I wasn't really sure. Regardless, they were tasty. Were they the best ones I've ever had? No they were not. But they were pretty good for the price. I wish they would have put the sauce in a separate bowl on the side so that I could actually dunk the chicken wing in it rather than sort of wipe the plate with it, but that's just a small thing. I ordered the number 19 which was sliced steak in broth with rice noodles. The broth was really amazing, and the sliced steak was medium rare, and allowed to cook in the hot broth. The flavors were so good. So good. I actually drank all of the broth. Bottom line? I would totally hear again, there were so many things on the menu that I would have loved to try but did not get a chance to. If you are ever off main Street in Mesa, you would do well to come here for a nice, warm fine filling meal.
