Dined at 3:30pm and service was horrendous. Was told it would be 5 min for a table (they were not busy). It appeared the host needed to clean some tables first. When we were sat down our table was still dirty with onions and such on the table. Red flag #1 as this table was just "cleaned." Ordered Vietnamese chicken wings and they were served with ranch dressing. This alone was alarming to me that the cuisine would not be authentic. Server was very unfriendly and seemed bothered that we were simply there. I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee and she told me it'd be 15 min. She was definitely trying to discourage me from ordering it. I ordered the vermicelli noodle bowl with pork: the serving of vermicelli noodles was so small, maybe about 1/3 cup. More than half of serving dish was straight up large chunks of iceberg lettuce. Husband ordered spicy beef noodle soup: broth was okay, everything else sucked. Noodles were definitely precooked previously and were beyond soggy. I will never return nor recommend. read more

For a family of three - we ordered two dishes , my wife and I split a shareable with meat skewers and egg rolls over noodles. On this dish alone - would recommend / return. My son on the other hand ordered a beef cube dish- dont recall the name. His comment - bland, is correct. This is coming from a twelve year old. I have to agree upon tasting it, and will add the meat was tough to eat - I chewed on my bite for several minutes. For this reason would not recommend a return trip. read more

Terrible service and unsanitary conditions I ordered the shrimp fried rice. When the food arrived covered in egg, I politely asked if I can get one without egg. Instead of making a fresh plate, the staff took my food to the kitchen and brought the exact same plate back out, telling me I'd have to pay for a second meal if I wanted the order fixed. Even after speaking to the manager, they refused to make it right. On top of the blatant lack of customer service, the restaurant itself is quite nasty and poorly maintained. Solid 3.8 on this visit... it was great to have this place close by on a rainy day. This place wasn't too busy when we got there after 5pm on a Sunday, but there were guests engaged in conversation, and munching away on their pho, bahn mi, or whatever their choice of delicious fare was. Our server recommended the seafood pho as one of her favorites, and the grilled shrimp spring rolls as a good appetizer. She must love seafood because she also recommended the calamari. We also enjoyed the I noticed that this place also has a bar for the adult beverages, but we kept it pretty simple on this visit. Mariana E was an amazing server. She made some spot on recommendations, and made sure that the drinks did not go unfilled or that the table got full of empty plates. We will most certainly return, but we'll try to come earlier before some of the pho proteins disappear. read more

Back to the Mecca of Bún bò Huế or (Spicy Noodle Soup) this is a hidden Vietnamese gem. I had the chance to eat in Hue and this delicious spicy beef soup has yet to "make it" in mainstream American cuisine. It's a rich and spicy soup with deep layers of flavors. I've been here a few times and always enjoy the food. One time I made a take out order and when I got home, a meal was missing. One of the servers drove to my house and dropped it out. So I thought this was different but what you would expect from a restaurant. Too many places tell you to come back if they messed up. The food was always good so you can't miss. For being in a nice area of the city, this place was really dirty, rundown and kind of disgusting actually. They had a table with kids and a table with a couple who were cussing the whole time I was there and nothing was said to them. They also had a guy with a cart come thru selling Incense. Wow! The shaken beef was a little chewy. The taste is fine it's just the type of meat that was used is not pleasing to our standards. It could use more improvement. The tre bien combo met my standards. It was a little too sweet for my taste. I've had really good authentic Vietnamese food so my standard is pretty high. We ordered extra beef broth but couldn't finish it as it was just really salty. I had to order hot water to dilute the broth. Our kids order pho and the 1st word was meh . According to my in laws, it's hit or miss. I'm hoping that their food would improve as there's not a lot of good places to eat in El Paso. The service was good. She kept her calm as we had a big party. The service was not that great. The nice girl in the back of the kitchen should've been in the front and the girl in the front to the back. I feel really bad for anyone looking to own a restaurant in this city. Take this establishment for example. It's 8:30 PM on a Saturday. The place is nearly empty when every other place on Cimarron is bumping. Once you get a look at the place, you start to understand why. This place has more fake plants than Michaels, and the booths look like someone was chewing on the seats. The service wasn't bad, except for the fact the staff was more concerned with taking selfies than knowing what their menu items were. Food was ok, but the Pho options are pretty limited here. My wife ordered a mixed drink, which I'm pretty sure had no alcohol in it. The bartender insisted it did, and then proceeded to lecture a 45-year old borderline alcoholic on mixed drinks. We showed up on a Saturday around 6PM. The place wasn't busy and we were told to sit wherever we wanted. My wife and I made our way to our table and grabbed a seat, eager to enjoy their awesome pho. Well we didn't get the chance to taste anything. After 10 minutes of no service, not even a " I'll be right with you", we left. Oddly, another table that came in after we did, was greeted and served promptly. No management in sight to voice our concerns. Definitely won't go back. This is as delicious as the rest of their locations across town. The portions were big and the drinks were so refreshing. Even had to try some of that boba that came in an interesting presentation. You can take a look at the menu online for a bit more options. The service was good and the staff was attentive. The seats are comfortable and the decor inside invites you to stay in and take your time with the food. The restrooms are clean and parking isn't an issue. Service was good. Food was brought out fast. Like my other experiences, you could not see the steam from the pho, which is a yellow flag. Before I even put the cabbage and jalapeños in, I tasted the soup. It was good but not even warm enough to cook my rare steak. I ate the pink meat anyways because I was hungover. Was waiting for this location to open up and I can say this place doesn't disappoint. Awesome part is this is on the west side and only 3 mins from my house. I am from California and my husband is from San Jose and with all the pho places there it's easy to determine if a pho place is good or not and I can say this place is delicious. Thumbs up! My daughter and I got the Saigon street platter which has a little bit of everything on the start menu and I would recommend if you can't decide what to start with or stuck between items to choose. And we got the chicken pho and meatballs, large size and it was enough for the both of us sooooo the large bowl is good for two people. So to start off this one star is for the food and just for the food because that is the only positive for this place. The food is amazing and consistent. However the only reason I'm posting this review is to hopefully let people know that they may have to choose between knowing they are going to have good food and accept that that is going to be the extent of the pleasure of the meal or choose a different restaurant that might actually offer good food AND good service. I'm basing this review off of 4 different visits between my kids and I. The food is amazing and that has not changed at one visit. However the service is awful. The first time we went he had a table of 6 and they closed in an hour, we're not busy, had staff all over the restaurant and they said the party was too big and too close to closing and refused to seat us. The 3 other visits we were sat but it might as well have been a self serve restaurant. Every time we had to ask where are the appetizers, ask for refills and more often than not we didn't get any refills. ALWAYS to ask for plates and utensils. Most of the time we had to get up and go up to the front of the restaurant because the waiters would never come back. Last night was the worst of all. We couldn't get anything the entire meal with out having to go get it for ourselves. The waiting and waiting between asking for something and getting it or never getting it or getting the food one item every 10 minutes and you can't enjoy your meal at the same time. I'm not sure if to work at this establishment you need to have a pre-requisite of being a crappy, inattentive, lazy waiter or what because that's a really consistent thing with ALL the wait staff we have encountered. Again the food is great but honestly not worth walking out feeling frustrated and ignored when you just paid a good amount of money on a meal. If the restaurant isn't in to customer service maybe they need to change the establishment where you go to the counter, order all your food, sit where you want, get your own utensils and refills, get your own to go boxes and that way the customer when they walk in know that that is the experience they will have and be expecting it. Not be expected to be waited on like a sit down restaurant and have an attentive waiter . It works for Pei Wei. When you go there you expect that type of experience and good food. read more

Pho Tre Bien, what happened?? You used to offer the very best pho and Vietnamese egg rolls in El Paso. I was so hopeful for the Noodle Bistro as it is near my home. But apparently there's some trick to getting pho without onions despite checking the "no onions" option, because I've requested no onions three times now and this last time I got both red and green onions. The Vietnamese egg rolls were very dark brown in color and rubbery. The first time we ordered, we got shaken steak and it was delicious charbroiled meat. The second time, it looked like it had been steamed; much less delicious. We tried ordering charbroiled beef and got thin slices and overly greasy fried rice. I don't know what went wrong, but you have one less customer now. read more

Food was ok, just like the other locations. This is now going to be a review of their service, which was HORRIBLE. Stopped in for soup, ordered noodles, they brought rice. Did they apologize? Nope. They literally and silently walked back to the kitchen and slammed a cup of noodles down on the table. No words were exchanged. They also forgot a drink we ordered and didn't arrive until late in our meal. There were only a few people in the restaurant at the time so there was really no excuse for this. I'm a huge viet food fan. In general most asian food in El Paso is sub average, but having adjusted my expectations for this city, the food at this location was still average. Pho broth is similar to their other locations, a little heavy on star anise but not bad. The veggies that came with it were bad, the bean sprouts had that translucent soft look like they had been frozen and thawed. The bun also was not fresh, the lettuce was borderline stale as well. The bahnmi had good bread but insides were pretty weak. I'm gonna be extra nice and support small this small business and add an extra star just for having a strong drink game. I think the most disappointing part was that all the sauces for the grilled items, from the pork in the bun to the variety platter we ordered tasted like pre made generic Asian type sauces. Overall it's convenient, the service was good, the interior is nice, a big improvement and following the trend of larger cities. This city definitely needs improved Asian dining, I do hope with time this location continues to improve. Will keep coming back and adjust review as it improves. read more

Finally tried this place. Family of 5 with tip +$100. The spring rolls were great, the rest of the meals were only so so. I took my wife an order of something that chicken in it, and she pulled 5 little bones out of the meal. The service was great, the kids enjoyed their Boba, but the yellow noodles could have easily come from a Cup o Noodles container. Food is great. Service is okay. I've placed a couple to go orders over the phone and ask for extra meat and don't get it at all. I don't know if they're just cheap like that, but from now on I'll be checking my food before I pay for it and if it's not right I'll have it made again or just not pay for it because it is a bit pricy for just three little pieces of meat, rice and veggies. I ordered steak pho and it was absolutely delicious. At first the vermicelli was slightly undercooked but they brought out a second bowl that was steaming hot which is always the best. The spring rolls had cucumbers in them which added a nice crunch. The peanut sauce tasted great; it was a little on the sweet side. I also recommend the boba drinks (not pictured- ordered to go after). The bill will come a little heavy but it is worth every penny. Great customer service, food and atmosphere. read more
