Pho Viet had very friendly service. I ordered the vermicelli bowl and the waitress was kind enough to also bring a bowl of soup, free of charge. The shrimp spring rolls were delicious, especially with their spicy peanut sauce. The pho was okay. The location is convenient if you are nearby Tuality Hospital or Pacific University's Hillsboro campus. Parking is easy and there is usually no wait to get a table. We eat here occassionally and I don't really have anything bad to say, it's just that they're not as good as some of the other Pho places we visit. Guess I just prefer the broth of other places better. This is one of my wifes favorite Pho places, guess it just comes down to preference. I was on vacation and was craving some pho! Looking for a place that had oxtail pho since some Vietnamese places don't sell it, on yelp I didn't see anything on here that said oxtail and the next location was out of my way. When I arrive to this place i wasn't sure if I wanted to dine in or take out since the parking lot was crowded. Upon walking in it was actually empty so I thought why not just dine in plus by the time I would have got to my hotel the broth would be cooled. Got seated and checked out the menu and lord behold OXTAIL PHO! It took me a minute to figure out what I wanted because where I'm from (Vegas) I've been skimped on the meat so I went ahead with just the large oxtail with an addition side of meat (well done). When my order came out I just wanted to cry, I received a beautiful oxtail pho and the broth was just amazing. The meat itself was epic as well with tons of flavor. We recently stopped by the new Pho Viet restaurant in Hillsboro over the weekend. Nice environment with contemporary décor, the atmosphere is quiet and spacious. The service is great! Unlike other Pho restaurants, the servers are checking back on you to make sure you are satisfied with the foods as well as other needs. The place is currently great for small groups of people - might have to re-arrange tables for larger groups. The Pho is great - plenty of noodles, meats and vegetables. Highly recommended! read more

The part I like is that the herb and been sprout they serve are very fresh. Rice plates are also recommended. Really fresh salad rolls. Great combination of vermicelli, shrimp, fresh herbs and lettuce, and the dipping sauces (i tried both the fish sauce and the peanut dipping sauces....both were delicate, and exceptionally good. Best Pho in Hillsboro. Good stuff and good service each and every time. Frequent customer, and I drive 15-20 mins from Beaverton to get there. I get the vegetable Pho noodle soup over any of the meat options as the carrots, celery, etc are much better and more filling than the meat. Eat the Pho in store. What horrible slow customer service!!!! I came to get lunch with a group of friends. I placed my order and waited....waited...another friend came and ordered.........she ate her lunch....I still waited.....I asked a few times what was taking so long......waited.....asked a 2 and 3rd time. Some one came out and told me sorry its on the way....another time telling me it was due to the beef being on the other side of the kitchen. (45+ mins later) All of the friends have been finished eating for 25 mins and I stood up to cancel my order. Then they brought it out. I waited the entire lunch rush hour watching other table come and go waiting for my food and didn't get it until the end of the lunch service. When I asked to have it discounted since it was horribly late (about an hour) the cashier laughed! I told him the customer service was horrible........he kept laughing. He decided he could reduce it a dollar. PS the food was only mediocre.....nothing really special topped with horrible customer service and no pride about customer experiences. So I decided to try out this new Pho joint this Labor Day weekend with the family and was quite surprised at how good the experience was. There aren't too many good places to go to for Pho on this side of town unless you're willing to drive out to Portland. It's good to know that there's a pretty good place to go to now for Pho without driving across town. As you may know, the broth is the essential component for a good bowl of hearty Pho and it appears that they've got this down pat. The steak was thinly sliced to perfection and was very tender. In addition, the tendons were also nicely sliced too and cooked just right, unlike a lot of other places where it's overcooked and is really mushy. As for the service, it was quite surprisingly good. Unlike a lot of other Pho restaurants, the servers actually checked up on us from time to time to see how everything was. This almost never happens at the places I've been to. The servers were very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was quite nice too and very spacious. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! The real highlight (and this is where no one can touch them) is the broth. You can tell this stuff has been going for a while: extraordinary depth and umami character. This place is exceeded only by home cooking. If you don't want to spend a day in the kitchen, you can't do better than the soup at Pho Viet Restaurant. They do everything right here. The noodles have just enough snap and my bowl is always filled with high-quality beef. Great textures everywhere... they even blanch the mung bean sprouts! The place is an absolute delight!
