Both are small bowls #10 Pho Dac Biet Special Combo
    Mary L.

Soup base is always good tasting here. It used to be a good 4.7-5 stars place attracting many tech employees as customers over a decade ago. These days, don't expect much customers on weekends. Feels dead and empty during cold weather rainy days. You can still dine inside or outside. Looks like more people are enjoying takeout orders instead. They do get busy with people picking up orders. Indoor dining can take awhile since it's not fully staffed. We still enjoyed our #10 small bowl over $16 Pho Dac Biet Combo. Large bowls cost more, but portions are decent. Simple and it has the small beef meatballs in it. Menu looks shorter these days. I still remembered the better times here many years ago when vibes were more exciting with hustlers bustling, serving the working class people in the area. These days, staffs speak Vietnamese most of the time. Place feels different, but the foods are still delicious. We still enjoyed the place when it was much under $13-$14 per bowl back in the old days. $16-$18.25 is on the higher side now.

We are regulars at this restaurant. Our go to meal is the Bun Bo Hue pho with thin noodles. The service is always quick and she knows our order very well. The food is delicious and super spicy, just like we like it. The restaurant is clean and always a packed house at lunch time. Speedy service!! They know how to get people in and out quickly.

    60. BBQ Pork and Egg Rolls with Vermicelli ( I subbed out the shrimp)
    John L.

Been trying to go to this spot on my lunch break, but the parking lot is always a mad house, so I always pivot to another spot. This time I got lucky and got a spot. The Vermicelli bowl was massive, but I didn't feel stuffed afterward. I wasn't feeling shrimp, so it was nice that they allowed me to substitute for the egg roll. Service and the restaurant were clean. The only negative was that darn small parking lot.

Imagine this - It's a warm sunny day and you're perhaps hangry and you see Pho Viet in the distance. A ray of (Pho) light. Vibes: It's a humble eatery, it's a place where you come for nothing but just good food, where decor isn't important. Crowd: It can get quite busy in here, so plan accordingly. The seating area is limited, but it's a fast-paced eatery. It's popular among the locals and families. Service: The team at Pho Viet was quick and prompt. They cleared tables and laid out the order with the condiments in no time. They were extremely sweet and helpful. The bite: Before I get to the pho, the portion size was humongous. I got the chicken pho and vegetarian pho. The pho came with a side of bean sprouts, basil, and lemon wedges, and it was a hearty meal. Don't be fooled by the clear broth because it is concentrated with flavor. I also tried their delicious avocado boba smoothie. The smoothies are more like a shake, but its rich, creamy, cold, and sinful. Pho Viet surprised me. While the pho is the hero, the avocado smoothie is a must-try - maybe you can skip the boba, but don't miss the smoothie!

I was in the mood for Vietnamese rice dish and Pho Viet was near my office. I called in for a pick up. There was one person who wasn't fluent in English and had to pass my call to another. They have a small menu of rice dishes. I ordered the grilled pork and fried shrimp. The pork was tasty and the shrimp crispy. The flavor was just right. Carrots were overcooked. They only had veggie fried eggrolls. Hope they consider doing a pork fried one. The restaurant is off Trimble/1st Street inside a plaza. Finding parking during lunch can be challenging. Highway 101 is not far from the place so you can easily drive over for a quick bite or wait for the commute traffic to die down.

    Vegetarian Egg Rolls with Vermicelli

Fairly good Vietnamese lunch joint with simple menu and ambience. Went in for lunch and had the vegetarian bun plate with egg rolls and a lemonade. The vegetarian bun plate comes with bun, a salad made up of cucumber, carrots and bean sprouts, peanuts and egg rolls. The quantity of food is good enough and service is quick. I wish they had tofu with the vermicelli noodles though. Overall a place with quick service and good simple Vietnamese food for lunch.

It's been ages since I've been here and to my surprise, the quality of service and food has not changed. You literally get what you pay for. Good portion and good service. The only downside of my experience was the smell of the restaurant. Maybe it was because I arrived 5pm on a Thursday and they were mopping. There was no one there, then again I arrived after office hours and got seated immediately. I ordered the food and got it within minutes. I ordered the pork chop and when it arrived, the grilled aroma brought me back to my first visit here. The pork chop was cooked to perfection and it came with broth to wash down my meal. I think it was broth from their pho. It was GOOD. I think I'll be coming back more often. Price: $-$$ Quality of food: A++ Quality of service: A++

Very clean inside! Loved the broth of both dishes. The food got to our table very quickly.

I'm so surprised by the reviews here. I got spring roles and the raw beef pho and it's literally the worst Vietnamese food I've ever had. Whatever cut of steak they give you isn't even meant to be eaten...I would take a mouthful of broth, noodles, and a bit of steak, and all would be chewed up except for a ball of meat gum that literally could not be processed through my mouth. The spring rolls are so dry. They should be called hot dessert rolls. Nothing fresh, more chewy meat that I can't get past the first step of digesting (ingesting), but I got 3 whole shrimp cut in half! Maybe I'm spoiled and know a lot of realllly good Vietnamese spots, but this ain't it and it's mostly inedible

The banh khot was warm and crunchy. I love when you can taste hints of coconut and when the garlic is suuuper strong lol The garlic noodles were alright tbh. The noodles were a little hard but the shrimp was cooked perfectly! They're definitely meant to be more of a takeout spot. They were pushing out party trays like crayyyy when we were there. Despite it being in a big lot, parking still took a while to find. Thankfully, we had thankfully just beat the lunch rush and not had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a table. My friend and I shared a Northern spread (Bun Cha Ha Noi) and a Southern style Goat Curry (Banh Mi Cari De). Service was definitely on the slower side that day, but thankfully we were proactive at getting the orders in. The Bun Cha Ha Noi was delicious - pretty much a DIY spring roll - all the fun, all the mess, with none of the clean up other than licking the plates clean. The pork belly was delicious; I was surprised how much I liked it, since I'm not a fan of pork. I devoured numerous rolls, and we also had some extra vermicelli to finish off the rest of the protein. This single meal was definitely more than enough for two! The Banh Mi Cari De (goat curry) was unfortunately quite the opposite. The goat was cooked very well - tough, gamy, and difficult to eat. There were probably six pieces in total, our first was tender, our second had bone, a little harder to chew, and the last was best compared to rubber. The curry was a bit watery, which made the banh mi soggy when dipped in. This was probably an adventurous try, but not a dish I'd ever consider ordering again.
