    Beef Pho
    Stacy C.

I've been dining at Pho Wagon since they opened about 13 years ago. If I remember correctly, the restaurant used to be a Burger King. They did a good job transforming it in to a Vietnamese restaurant. I hadn't eaten there in a few years until tonight. I'd never tried their pho before, but the reviews were positive. I had the beef pho delivered. The broth was extremely hot; I had to use pot holders to pour it into the bowl. They give you quite a bit of raw steak-- I couldn't believe how many pieces there were. Overall, the pho was very good, with flavorful broth that I enjoyed with the cilantro and onions they provide in a little bag. I also ordered the spring rolls with veggies, shrimp, and pork. They tasted fresh and delicious, and the peanut dipping sauce was very good, too. The pho is slightly more expensive than most places in San Jose. I don't mind paying more because of the large portions and because it tastes fresh and well prepared.

Nice family restaurant with good food. Sometimes I forget that this restaurant is here because it's a little bit hidden in a shopping center but the food is good and the people who work here are friendly. Fun trivia: this location used to be a Burger King.

Always consistent! I have ordered a bunch of different items from Pho Wagon including - lemongrass pork spring roll (harder to find these days), chicken pho, veggie pho, beef pho, lemongrass pork rice plate. Everything is consistent in flavor, the amount of food and the quality. Today I am enjoying the pork and egg roll with rice meal. Ordered to go and had great service on the phone. Plus it was ready when I arrived!

Your basic Pho. Nothing fancy schmancy. Small bowl is 17.50, large 19 A bit on the pricey end, good to get a craving but if you drive 8-10 min more you can find arguably better pho. Probably would come in a pinch as it's closer to Campbell pruneyard Meets the need, the service was fast. Ambiance is casual. Taste was aight

Came in on a Saturday night and this place can fill up during the later hours. Plenty of parking in the plaza but traffic can get busy due to all the to go orders. Started off with the fried shrimp which were great. They were a little hot so needed to let them cool down, but it also allowed them to become more crispy. I then moved onto a large bowl of make your own pho. Had the meatballs, rare steak, and brisket. This broth is so flavorful and came out piping hot. This place is clean and the service is friendly, but it is on the tad pricier side compared to other places.

My family has been going to and ordering from Pho Wagon since I was a kid! We dined in recently for dinner on a Tuesday so I wanted to write a review. I ordered the Vietnamese Chicken Salad and a Thai Tea. The Chicken Salad was huge, so tall! It was very refreshing though since it was hot out and just what I was craving, comes with a lot of chicken mixed in and a little bit of peanuts on the side. The Thai Tea comes in a tall glass also and was surprisingly pretty sweet. My mom custom-made her own pho and my grandma got a fried rice dish - both servings huge. My mom also got Coconut Juice which had coconut pieces in it. The staff was extremely kind as well, being very attentive and helping my grandma box her leftovers. Great family friendly and family owned feel restaurant!

Wanted to venture and try a new place so we went this last Wednesday. It wasn't necessarily cold but in between moving, working, schooling., and parental responsivities.. I haven't cooked in nearly 2 weeks. I move this upcoming Monday! Anyway. Read great reviews and wanted to try. Grateful I did. Parking wasn't an issue. This place can easily be missed since it's behind the gas station; accepts cards, takes phone orders, and they've partnered up w/ third party delivery services. Based on the calls and and orders staged for DoorDash and UberEats, I'd say that they are quite busy. The tables are spaced out and service was fast and friendly. The menu offers a variety and what I loved most is that they have a kid's portion for pho (comes w/ tai) but as we went about our meals, he wanted tripe so I ordered a side. The side we were given was extremely generous. My Pho Dac Biet was really goodm light and aromatic broth.. the crispy tofu is delicious, too. The chili sauce that accompanied it helped w/ the flavor otherwise it's pretty bland. We are not over this COVID BS yet, pls continue to support your local businesses!

The mam tom had a strong flavor (as expected), but it was balanced well and tasted authentic. Mixing it with the noodles, herbs, and peanuts made for a great combination of textures and flavors. Portions were generous, service was friendly, and the food came out pretty quickly even though the restaurant was busy. It's not always easy to find Vietnamese dishes like these done well in the South Bay, so I was happy to find a spot that delivers. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Despite it being in a big lot, parking still took a while to find. Thankfully, we had thankfully just beat the lunch rush and not had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a table. My friend and I shared a Northern spread (Bun Cha Ha Noi) and a Southern style Goat Curry (Banh Mi Cari De). Service was definitely on the slower side that day, but thankfully we were proactive at getting the orders in. The Bun Cha Ha Noi was delicious - pretty much a DIY spring roll - all the fun, all the mess, with none of the clean up other than licking the plates clean. The pork belly was delicious; I was surprised how much I liked it, since I'm not a fan of pork. I devoured numerous rolls, and we also had some extra vermicelli to finish off the rest of the protein. This single meal was definitely more than enough for two! The Banh Mi Cari De (goat curry) was unfortunately quite the opposite. The goat was cooked very well - tough, gamy, and difficult to eat. There were probably six pieces in total, our first was tender, our second had bone, a little harder to chew, and the last was best compared to rubber. The curry was a bit watery, which made the banh mi soggy when dipped in. This was probably an adventurous try, but not a dish I'd ever consider ordering again.

It's a grilled tumeric fish dish that packs a ton of flavor, and you add noodles and herbs to make a delish spring roll (or in my case a fat burrito). It comes out on a sizzling plate so you have to let it cook a bit to render the onions and dill to get that perfect texture. The sauce might be a bit fishy to some, but it's what ties the bite together! It's def an acquired taste, but if you are open to trying new things, please come try this speciality dish. Tip: on Wednesdays, this dish is only $28, whereas the OG price is around $36. The fried rice here was surprisingly super flavorful! You can taste the separate grains (which is when you know the cook on the rice is good) and the salt levels were top tier. If you can't find parking in that plaza, there's more parking across the road where the Target is. After spending about ten minutes on the written wait-list, our names were called. It's definitely a little easier communicating with much of the staff if you speak Vietnamese, and I find that waiting right outside the restaurant is best because they default to calling your name from the door once it's your turn. The interior is crammed with tables; the atmosphere feels busy and warm. There is a single room women's bathroom and men's bathroom in the back as well. The decor leans toward being classic more than trendy, which I liked. The menu is pretty big, offering a variety of items ranging from mainstream Vietnamese options to ones I don't encounter as often. I recommend eating family-style for many of these dishes, including the Bún Chả Cá Lã Vọng, which I enjoyed with my partner. The prices are pretty average, and their portions are generous. That said, they are cash or Zelle only. There is an ATM that you can use if you forget to bring cash, but this is still something to keep in mind. Overall, I can definitely see myself coming back. I wish I had the stomach capacity to try more of their dishes at once, and I 100% recommend that anyone give this place a shot.

I noticed cobwebs that appeared to have been hanging in place for a long time, along with dirt and grime collecting in corners throughout the dining room. Even the menus felt sticky, with a visible film of grease and small food particles still clinging to them. The faded print and worn condition made them look as though they hadn't been replaced in years. Those details created an impression of neglect that made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal. With a thorough deep cleaning and some updated menus, this restaurant could create a much more welcoming dining experience.
