I've only been to Phowok once, but it was great food on a cold rainy night. My wife and I both had shrimp pho--so good. Here's was as it came, mine was extra spicy. It used to be another restaurant but owners changed with a broader menu, offering both Vietnamese and Chinese. The host/waiter/owner was very attentive and friendly. The food was really good. We ordered the spring rolls (big and delish) and bahn mi. As someone had said, the roll was very fresh and lightly toasted. Great flavor overall. It is in the same strip mall as Petopia and a pizza place. Lots of construction around due to the new overpass but do not this deter you from visiting this laid back restaurant. read more

They made the old ChenZ place so cute now. Love the decor in the new room. The food was very good. Nice flavor in the pho with all the side fixings. My daughter got the kids sweet and sour chicken and they brought the sauce on the side with a bowl of perfect rice to go with it. She loved it. My hubby and son got the bbq pork bahn mi sandwich and said it was really spicy (they love spice). My mom got the vermicelli with chicken and it fed her for a few meals. We were in a hurry to make it to my daughter's volleyball so they helped us quickly get the check and to go containers for all the leftovers. Sweet staff, nice service, definitely an upgrade. Great crab puffs and hot and sour soup, and delicious sesame chicken - my only minor complaint is the dish could use more sauce, which was garlicky and great. I take a bite of the pho. The savory broth melts in between teeth. I can hear me great great great great grandfather speaking to me. I tell him, "bro this pho so bomb ong noi and ong ngaoo. Like wow the night is lowkey young. The herbal scent of the mint and cilantro amalgamate. I can feel ascending from culinary art that has passed down from 500 BC. the warm soup goes into my bloodstream. It's so cold outside but the pho is #warm guys. it was so delicious. I forgot I was in Texas until this man with a gigantic cowboy hat walked into door. He said, "Howdy yall, I'm ready to try some pho." And we were, "pho is for everyone it's for the community." and everyone cheered and the owner were so nice. Like so nice. I wasn't in Vietnam the whole time??? The pho is so powerful and so is the kindness of the owners of this establishment. Go try pho. You should visit Vietnam but this is pretty close. #pho4life. read more

Maybe the best lemongrass/spicy combination Vermicelli bowl in town. The shrimp from this place is par none. I've also loved the bahn mi with grilled shrimp, pork is a bit gristley. For what is lacks in ambiance it makes up for in great food, generously served. As they are only 5 months in business as of this writing, mom and dad work the kitchen preparing great dishes while their son works the front. That said, there is abundant friendliness and help in picking dishes from a very large selection. My steady and I decided on the Pho with spring roll appetizers. The spring rolls were delicious and fresh tasting and went wonderfully with the ample homemade peanut sauce. I could have just eaten them and been happy, but we wanted to try the Pho after the restaurant namesake. The pho hit the spot with plenty of fresh vegetables in a mild broth that allowed for personal spicing, as my partner both personalized our bowls. We are lucky to have discovered this gem close to home and will certainly be back soon. read more

Been here several times & everything I've gotten has been delicious. As a Vietnamese person, my bar for Vietnamese food is pretty high & Pho Wok has met my high expectations. Love the big fresh sprig of basil I received with my pho, unlike some other restaurants that give only 1 flimsy sprig with wilting leaves & try to compensate with cilantro sprigs. The sandwiches are always yummy, sometimes I get one to go for lunch the next day. Big menu with many traditional dishes & options for vegetarians. The service has always been excellent with friendly faces & smiles. Casual atmosphere with beautiful decorations on walls. Large restaurant that can accommodate large groups. Best part: the servers & people in the kitchen are Vietnamese (I've heard them speaking when I walked by the kitchen, reminded me of growing up with my grandma & mom cooking in our kitchen) -- probably the reason why the food is authentic. read more

I was so excited to see a Vietnamese restaurant coming to our neighborhood. And I have not been disappointed. Since their soft opening, I've been 3 times. They're working out some kinks, but the food is fantastic and the service is friendly and great! I loved the Pho, rice dish, Bun (vermicelli), shrimp egg rolls, wonton soup, and their classic spring rolls are wonderful! I can't wait to go back for Bánh mì. The place is so clean, bright and welcoming. The last restaurant in this spot was sadly very dirty, and you wouldn't even know it's the same place. I will be there at least 1x a week. read more
