Awesome food, relaxing atmosphere, spacious enough for groups. The bourbon list was long and not all of the bourbons were listed. The owner was very bourbon knowledgeable and provided great customer service. Sloppy cornbread was a hit! Thick cut bacon almost made a vegetarian fall off the wagon just by looking at it. Smoked cauliflower was a hit and the whipped feta cheese that came with it was icing on the cake (figuratively). Brussels sprouts were good and charred and the Kentucky fried chicken tenders are not your momma's chicken tenders. If you like real fried chicken and chicken tenders, give these a try. The fish in the fish and chips were meaty and the fries were good and crunchy and it also came with cole slaw. The red cabbage came with goat cheese but I did not order the goat cheese, but the cabbage was cooked with cinnamon or nutmeg but those ingredients weren't listed on the menu (otherwise, I would not had ordered). The just just said red cabbage and goat cheese. I don't like my cabbage cooked with those two seasonings. Four stars only because of the cabbage and our waitress was slow on refilling water and she was unable to answer several menu questions. When we arrived for our reservation , there was a line of people out the door. They also had reservations but the restaurant wasn't seating any of us. There wasn't even a hostess telling people what was going on. Or a manager. We ended finding seats at the bar and the poor waiter told us the kitchen was backed up and it would be at least an hour. We ordered a sandwich, chicken strips and mac and cheese. We received two of the meals right before we had to leave for our event. The mac was gross and looked nothing like the picture but we were out of time so we all split the chicken strips. Looking around no one had food and there appeared to be no one in charge at this place. Felt bad for the employees. This place is terrible. Do not waste your time here. read more

Bourbon was good, priced above menu prices... (change your menu or honor the price)... Ordered a Wedge Salad with Steak medallions... They were NOT steak medallions.. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! They were chopped/cubed cold pieces of meat pulled from the cooler (maybe cooked yesterday) , tasted ok, but felt like I paid $12 for leftover steak! Apparently you have to order it hot if you want the steaks hot although that's normally the way steak medallions are cooked and it wasn't noted on the menu that it comes cold.... My wife had the grits and shrimp and it was tasty but didn't come out hot and just came out kind of warm... And it was much more grits and very little shrimp(5). Met my family here for an early dinner tonight before they went to the Eagles concert. It was a fun atmosphere and a trendy vibe overall, loved the window views of the high rises and footprint center located across the street. Yes it did get a bit loud in there but it was to be expected, they were jam packed with the concert crowd, only a few tables were even open by the time we left. Service was a tad slow, but again, I'm not judging them too harshly on this as they were very busy. Our server was kind and really good. Everyone enjoyed the food that they ordered, everything was prepared well and tasted pretty good. Cocktails were tasty as well. All in all, enjoyed the place and would visit again. This is just the Tilted Kilt with some lipstick slapped on it with a new menu. Don't let them fool you. Waited over 25 minutes for my appetizer, and another 20+ for the entrees. Almost all the potatoes items were cold within our party. They were out of the BBQ Sampler, so i went with the cioppino; which i was a skeptical about because obviously it's a steakhouse and not a seafood place and that was a complete let down. Had to be red sauce out of a can , so don't ever go with that item. I just chalked it up as i should've known better. Could barely understand the waiter he didn't even ask if we liked everything (obviously) and the hostess was kinda rude when we got there. Overall bad experience. I am giving this place two stars to be nice. I cannot believe the experience we just had. My team went here for our holiday dinner tonight. We had a private room to celebrate the holiday. We had a preset menu and everyone ordered the New York strip except one of us. He ordered the salmon and had to send it back because it was undercooked. Every steak came out tasting like salt. Like a ridiculous amount of salt. When the hostess came in to the room we told her honestly how the food was at she literally said "so the salt tastes like salt?" The service was awful. We were literally bussing our own table because nobody ever came around once to clear off our appetizer plates. I had to write this because unless something changes, this place will be out of business in 6 months. There are way to many places to eat downtown with better food and service. Bottom line. Nice looking place and friendly hostess, but their idea of a salad is a huge pile of goat cheese with beets marinated to the point of having no detectable beet taste and a few forlorn pieces of arugula drenched in a vinegary dressing. Typical American pub version of a salad---a cheese plate in disguise. Pretty expensive too but then goat cheese is more expensive than lettuce. Place was empty, and hard to find. In the heart of Phoenix Phoenix Bourbon Room has a relaxing atmosphere and a fantastic selection of spirits that are competitively priced. The food is stellar and service borders on amazing. I really enjoyed dinner at the Phoenix Bourbon Room. This place has a ton of potential and I hate that I have to leave such a bad rating. The atmosphere and the vibe and the decor are very cool. The menu look great. The drinks were good. For appetizers we started off with deviled eggs and the brisket mac & cheese. The deviled eggs were good. The brisket mac & cheese also tasted very good. However, it was not even lukewarm. We did not say anything or complain because it tasted very good and we ate it. Our entrée we split the mushroom burger. After we cut it in half, we noticed that it was extremely rare. It was red. Not even pink at all. We ordered it medium. In fact, it still had the medium temperature stick sticking in the burger. we cannot eat this and we decided to complain. We let the bartender know and he really didn't say anything or do anything at all. The french fries were actually cold. And we had the bartender try one so he could see. Come to find out, he was new. So I'm gonna blame that I'm training. We finally went and spoke to the manager. at this point, we had had enough and we complained to the manager. The manager just didn't seem to care. All he said is that he would take care of the food, but he would not take care of the drinks. We were insulted because we never even asked him to take care of the drinks or all of the food. I did not want to pay for the burger and I wanted to make him aware. He never apologized and acted like it was no big deal and he didn't care. I felt like I was in a big room, it was not a cozy atmosphere at all. When I was there it was really slow and the service was terrible, I would have thought we would have had a better experience. They took forever to bring food and fill up waters and take drink orders. Also, and more importantly the food. This was average at best and the brisket was very fatty, not a real Southern Brisket. Popped in here to watch a game and have some food while on a work trip. I had the Brisket and some bourbon. I have thoughts on both. The brisket was pretty bad. The bartender said they smoke all their own meet, which I very much doubt. I will say some of the people around me had steaks and those looked good. I would not recommend the brisket. Recently after a D backs game my family and I had an excellent private dessert experience at the bourbon room. The restaurant manager was exceptionally accommodating to our late night request. We were in the area and was excited to try a new place! The place was empty except for one woman speaking endlessly into her phone at the end of the bar and one other couple who got there about the same time as us. It was around 4 on a Monday so I didn't expect it to be crowded. I asked the bartender if they had strawberries and he said yes so he made me a different twist to an old fashioned which was fantastic! So hubby and I ordered the BBQ combo to split - and that's where the 2 starts come from. It's like the food was simply reheated from the weekend with BBQ sauce thrown on top. The ribs tasted old and the chicken was dry. The brisket was meh. The side of collards was awesome! I should've just had that! I want a fan of the cornbread - very dry. Maybe the food is better during the weekend or when there's some downtown activity but I would only recommend this place for a great drink! Not good. Had NYE dinner here and being from out of town we were very, very disappointed. Most of our plates came out cold. Our server said she'd take them back to the kitchen to heat them up but some of us had seafood and that's a big no no (red flag). My husband requested his steak medium and it was very raw, frozen still raw. Someone received a cold burger and someone else got a burned chicken sandwich. The server apologized and said all the kitchen staff was young and most of the senior staff had the night off. Prob didn't need to say that to us tbh. Then someone else said they would get rid of staff and start over at the beginning of the year and asked us to come back then. They didn't comp anything, we paid full price and overall bad service, bad food and unprofessional management. Def won't ever recommend this place to anyone. read more

She knew little when we asked about food/drink options and checked in our very rarely - we were her only table and there had to have been less than 5 tables occupied when we were there - it was dead. The food and drinks were some of the best we've ever had (at this price point). We live downtown and often go out for food and drinks. I've come here a couple times and will never come again. This was probably the single worst dining experience I've ever had in my life, and i am not a picky person. Service was incredibly slow and our waiter was very rude. Didn't get water for about 20 minutes after sitting down. Even little things like having to ask for plates so we could eat was annoying. They were out of half of their normal menu items it seemed. And our food was extremely late. And then it just got worse from there. Our group ordered a NY strip, the filet, a hot chicken sandwich, and a chicken Milanese. Except for the filet, none of our dishes had any flavor, just flavorless bar food. You'd expect certain sauces or whatever on traditional dishes like the chicken Milanese but it was just a piece of flavorless dry fried chicken. I ordered the New York Strip medium rare and as it came out the waiter asked "do you want to cut it open and check the temperature?" Which is a very weird question to be asked it's like he knew it was way overcooked. but I did as he said and it was extremely well done, tasted like hamburger meat so i asked him to take it back and cook a medium rare steak. He said it would take 8 minutes but that turned into 30 and of course it was still cooked well done!! By this time we had to leave because our play was going to start in 10 minutes so i couldn't eat at all. And then he took it off of our bill but I kid you not, as I go just to take a bite of the terrible green beans, he stopped me midway and said I am no longer allowed to eat anything on the plate because he took it off the bill. I was absolutely speechless, I have never felt this disrespected in a restaurant in my life. If you mess up the customers order (twice) you take it off the bill, but I'm allowed to still eat it if I want!!! Nope not here, he just said "no, since we took it off your bill you can't eat it". He grabbed the plate in front of me and ran off to go throw it away. Absolutely stay away from this place. read more

Great cocktails and bourbon selection (obviously) i had the salmon and risotto. It was a Skoche under cooked but excellent. My husband ordered the ribs and he was less than pleased. I've literally never seen him spit meat out before. Maybe work on the flavor of the spice and preparation of the ribs. None the less, he returned it and they handled it so kindly. I have been here on two occasions and the first time was for drinks prior to dinner at the Arrogant Butcher. The second time was on 9-10-22 and it stared off all wrong as we arrived. When we walked in the hostess stand was empty and my girlfriend was goofing around and grabbed a bunch of menus for the eight of us and was acting like the hostess. The host was heading back to the host stand and didn't find her stunt very amusing. We had reservations for 8 and the restaurant was about 30% full and their was a table for 8 set up near the window and we asked for it but we were told that it wasn't for us. After we were seated, they came over and disassembled to 2 tables of 4. It was 5:30 PM the afternoon and when we ordered the smoked meatloaf we were told that the last portion has just been sold. The 8 of us returned to this facility based on our first impressions of this restaurant to assemble a party of 50 at the tasting room. But unfortunately based on our experience, we will be looking for another location for the party of 50. Picture is of the person who wasn't very friendly.
