*This review is for the customer service ONLY. We ordered a steak in the grass pizza today. We do not live anywhere near the delivery area so we picked it up. Get it home, not a shred of spinach in it with about triple the hot peppers. (Now I know why the girl who checked us out literally looked at the pizza THREE times before she sent it home with us anyway). We called Picasso's once we realized this error and they said they would get a new one delivered to us within the hour. Ok, cool! Fast forward to 30 minutes later and the owner/manager calls and says we are out of the delivery area and nope, they aren't going to deliver it but we are welcome to come pick it up or we can get half off out next order. Ummmm, you couldn't have told us this THIRTY minutes ago?! My husband gets in the phone and tells him this is unacceptable in "strong" language and then the guy says he will have our pizza to us in 15 minutes. Then hangs up on him. Wow. Your food is good. I really like it. But being a total dick to customers when the error was made by YOU is totally just not cool at all! So, what to do when the food is yummy but the customer service sucks ass? I have ordered many times from here the last 2 times have been a great disappointment. I feel the pizza is quite pricey and lately they have really been using less and less toppings . Tonight I ordered a pizza with the works and it was very sparse. It used to be loaded with olives and peppers, now one third of it was dough and the toppings were barely there. NOT HAPPY! read more

As far as WNY Pizzaria's go, Picasso's is up there. I've eaten at just about every Pizzaria in Buffalo and surrounding suburbs and this place does a pretty good job. The pizza is delicious (and like some other reviews already said, the large is HUGE). The crust is perfect, the sauce is great (not too sweet, not too tart and they know how much to put on the pie so its not sloppy). The subs are great and they have an impressive/creative appitizer and finger foods menu too. The staff is fast and always friendly, I recommend them if you haven't yet. read more

Ready for an understatement? This pizza is really good. Quickly, let's get some things straight. This is Western New York style pizza, so it's a pan pizza. And when they say "Large" pizza. They mean LARGE pizza. Meaning, they have to pull another table over next to your table to put the pizza on. Because it takes up its own table. None of those silly pizza pedestal things. The pepperoni here is the best. They slice it on the diagonal, so it makes these fun little oblong pepperoni shapes. Then they crisp up on the short edges. Yes, I'm the jerk picking off the crispy pepperonis from other people's slices. The environs here are... basic. And somehow smell like fried potatoes? Whatever... excellent pizza is the reward. In town on vacation. Front desk at hotel tells me this is best pizza place around. Hands me a menu and a $5 coupon for use on an online order. Menu looked great. Lots of traditional variety. Something for everyone. Ordered a medium pie with half-pepperoni, the baked spaghetti, cheesy breadsticks and zeppolis. Ordered seamlessly via their third-party ordering site. Got a prompt email confirming the order and quoting a delivery time. The delivery showed up at my hotel door early. The delivery guy was extremely polite. The portions were ridiculously generous. The medium pizza could feed two hungry people alone. The pizza was great. Not your traditional round pizza. Not too greasy. Crust is a little thicker than traditional but not as thick as Sicilian pizza. And it does come "well done"...but not even near the point of turning the food in to cardboard. The cheesy bread portion was the same size as the medium pizza....and just as delicious. The spaghetti was awesome. Lots of cheese and plenty of meatballs. Came with two yummy pieces of garlic bread. The zeppolis were off the charts. Largest portion I've ever seen...and I think they used a whole bag of sugar with it. Enough to feed a large family for sure, and then some. One slight...and I hesitate to ding them...but they didn't bring us plates, napkins, or utensils. They knew we were at a hotel. Luckily we were at an extended stay hotel that had those amenities handy. Not sure if I was supposed to ask for plates and forks. Just an FYI. Idk who this downstater hater is but I couldn't disagree more. Anybody can slap a bunch of cheese and some tomato sauce onto some dough and call it a pizza. What sets a pizzeria apart from the rest? THE DOUGH. Picasso's does their dough right. Little chewy, little crispy, lotta bit delicious. They finish every pizza off with a little Parmesan as well. Terrific. Inside was fine, and holy crap the food was GREAT. We got a top notch pizza and three flavors of wings and bread sticks for $30 odd bucks. I can't even feed these bastards at Burger King for $30, and we took half the food home with us! Great food, great place, great service. One thing I truly struggle with is a great pizza place in the south towns of wny. There are a short listed few that take me a solid 45 minute round trip to hit but I have yet to be crazily impressed with anyone all that close. Picasso's has done me well, though. I ordered on the web with some customization of pizza because it appears we are just a difficult family. Couple that with some sub modifications and a basic order of wings and I would bet my bottom dollar that it would be all messed up. But nope!!! Picasso's nails it. Not only did they nail it; they had it done right on time, at a great price with a flavorful slice....yes, I sort of rhymed there on purpose. Sauce is not sweet so you savory folks should dig it and after 4 orders, they have yet to screw up a single order or overcook my pizza. The wings are good and the subs are above average. I was understanding because it was a nice day and im sure a lot of people are ordering pizza. It has been over 3 hours and they are closed now and never delivered my food. Had company over and ordered from picasso's. We got a large pizza which LOOKED delicious ( although it was missing the onions that I ordered as 1 of the toppings) however the crust was not cooked all the way and had a "raw dough" taste. I fired up the oven and cooked a few pieces for about 15 min on a hot stone which rectified the situation but my guest insisted I call and complain, that's where it gets ugly. According to the manger you have to TELL them how you want it cooked. Really??!! So next time not only should you tell them what you want on it, be sure to let them know you want it cooked all the way. Ridiculous. The rest of the conversation didn't go any better. Having had many a pizzas in the WNY area I have to say that this is one of the best. The flavors are amazing, the cheese is not falling off the dough, it isn't greasy nor messy. The only drawback for me is that their pizza doesn't have much of a crust, and I'm a crust girl, the more crust the better. We also order wings to go with our pizza and they were decent nothing to rave about, but they were crispy so that it always a plus. Wish this pizzeria was closer to home because I would order from here more often when I am in the mood for a consistently good pizza. read more

Wow. Just wow. I used to order from Picasso's a lot, but they are way beyond overpriced. I just paid 48.00 for a half medium pizza (not even a small pizza), 20 wings, and a small fry. The fries were burnt. You know the cook sending the fries out in the kitchen knew they were completely overdone, but still sent them. For 48.00, everything should be amazing. I've been getting my pizza from Great Lakes pizza, which is great, but their wings are not as good as Picasso's. I NEED a reference for great wings in the West Seneca area. Oh and the management, or whomever I spoke to, told me "there are many options out there." Ok. We ordered a sheet Hawaiian pizza online. Received a confirmation that it would be delivered at 7:23. Knock on the door at 6:58. Really early! Opened it up and figured out why it was early. It was pretty much underbaked. The outside crust was fairly raw. I had to put it in the oven to complete baking. When you figure between delivery fee and tip it cost almost $50. Okay, so I am keeping to my word and writing an update to my previous review. The owner of Picasso's contacted me with a sincere apology, promising to work on the online ordering system and making things right with our family. All of which I am grateful for. I did order our Friday night dinner by phone this time and within 30 minutes our order was hot and ready. The White pizza is the best in the area ! Plenty of tomatoes, cheese, garlic and other seasonings oh yes, and the onions were sliced and spread evenly. This time Picasso's earned a 5 thumbs up ! Pizza = Unbelievable! Best in Buffalo? Yes. The sauce and cheese combination makes for a superior pizza. The seasoning on the pizza makes for a memorable meal. Large Pizza is half a sheet pizza. Medium is decent size for two. I tried the italian baked wings, and wow. I have never had wings this delicious. The size of the wings was outstanding. These were cooked to perfection! I would go with the Medium sauce, it has just enough kick. If it's a sandwich your after, I suggest the chicken finger, with BBQ and Blue Cheese, of course. The bread that is used for the sandwich, keeps me coming back. I don't know what it is, but after the first bite, you just want another. I'm going to oppose everyone's review here I guess but I don't really feel bad about it. I've had food from here a handful if times as it is around the corner from my boyfriend's house. Legitimately every time we have gotten food here I haven't liked it. I'm not really sure why everyone is so 5 star happy about this place? The salads, subs, pizza, wings, and occasional random other purchase are all pretty disgusting. Not only are things extra greasy but it is almost like they are intentionally NOT Italian. I am picky about Pizza and Wings. Yeah, I'll muscle down a slice at a work function, but if I don't really care for it, you won't see me re-ordering at the same place. I also worked in a pizzeria and have an affinity for places from my hometown so I rather do without than have crappy/so-so pizza. I have no idea after my years of living close by to this place why I had never ordered. Maybe because they are a small chain? I saw the coupons all the time and sometimes I am wary from over advertising. Anyway, over Labor Day and then again recently I ordered some different things and was really happy! 1) The wings. After cooking wings for 2 summers, I hate bad wings. Theirs, the two times I had them, were very good. They use the nice big plump wings with lots of meat, the price is reasonable, and they are cooked perfectly. I like that you can order in increments of 5. I ordered medium, but they were more like a so-so mild. I don't like spicy stuff and even I thought they could use more heat. Might have been a fresh batch of wing sauce that needed to 'marinate' a little more. The first order I got also was short a wing, though. Good large cups of Ken's blue cheese come with it. 2) Pizza I was pleasantly surprised with. Good large size for a medium. Nice thickness of the crust that was cooked with nice crispy bottom. I had it with mushrooms which were fresh and a lot of them on there. Sauce was mild which I like and also perfect amount on the pizza. Also really liked that they had some Italian spices/cheese baked on top. The mozzarella was excellent! I wrapped some up to have for leftovers and even after heating up in oven, it had that ooey gooey pull. I also had half size mozz garlic bread in my first order and it was huge! Enough for a few people as an app. I got a chicken finger sub another visit and it was pretty ok, just different from what I expected. It was more of a seasoned chicken finger (very good quality) with a little sauce, rather than a plain chicken finger dunked in sauce. I got it without cheese. Could have used a little more lettuce on it. The fried Italian dough was very good though. 3) Service was fast and friendly. I hate when people mumble or aren't clear on phone orders (that is when mistakes are made), but both times I have called and in person, the employees were good on the phone and didn't sound rushed or bothered. Ordered a Chicken Parm dinner and it was the most disgusting one I have ever had in my life. It basically was Fried Chicken fingers loaded with sauce and cheese (gross). The pasta that came with it was still swimming in the water it was cooked in and it was ice cold. I literally had to drain the pan into the sink. Chicken parm should be made with Breaded chicken cutlet as it was described in the menu. So disappointed especially paying 15 dollars for dish that got tossed in the trash. WORST FOOD I HAVE EVER EATEN, DON'T EAT HERE! BUYER BEWARE!!! Just ordered a large pizza and 2 subs - one meatball parm (because they don't have eggplant) and one chicken finger sub. The meatball parm was put between two of yesterday's leftover pancakes, flattened to be soaked with tomato sauce, flappy and flimsy. The bread did not resemble bread, but pizza dough. News flash, that is not good for sandwiches. I have never been so upset after spending 45$ on food. I got rid of the bread and ate the meatballs, which were similar to clams because of how much grit was in them; like there was bone inside the grinder. I don't know what monster thought this food was good but by god it was quite the opposite. The pizza is also floppy and flimsy, and maybe they tried to make it a square but it looks like a large lopsided pancake. I don't know how they are still in business because I honestly have never had anything so awful. The dough was not cooked, in the "sandwich" or the pizza, it was chewy and rubbery. I don't know how it wasn't cooked though because the top and pepperoni was all black as though it was partially burned. Maybe there was also partially burned parts on my "bread", but there were like flecks of dark nasty chips on the sandwich, probably leftover bits from the grill. Oh my god it was disgusting. I don't know what i'm going to do with all this dough and cheese, I ate half the meatball sub sans meat, and the cheese off of a slice of the pizza. The chicken sub was also quite disgusting.
