My granddaughter and grandson had never been here but have heard me talk about it do visited. They wanted to try the strawberry, which is in season right now, and a Hot Fudge Peanut butter milk shakes along with burgers and fries. They were both impressed. Now, they plan to makd this a tradition since they loved it do much. Well done Pick-Quick with your consistency and never failing me with the best hot fudge peanut butter milkshake I've had anywher.

If you took me away from SoCal and blind folded me and told me we're back in so cal and fed me pick-quicks burgers and fries I would have said I didn't leave LA .... The food is sooooo familiar to the point that I'd say it's one and the same of a privately owned LA institution but this this is whole diffeeent level because there's no lines and they do it just as good if not better! It was quaint to eat at tables outside behind the shack.. I loved every moment. The fries were extra crispy as I requested and the double cheese burger was sooo good and fresh. I'd move here and never miss my old home.

Very solid old school burger spot. Pick Quick is a pretty affordable simple burger spot, for my first visit I tried a Deluxe Double Cheeseburger and a side of fries. Even though they were kind of busy the service was quick and efficient, and I received my order in about 10 minutes. My favorite part of my order was the fresh cut French fries. They had that right combination of crispiness and pillowy potato softness that I prefer in a fry and were well salted, all for under $4 for a large serving. The burger was on the smaller side but still tasty and satisfying, with my favorite part being the "Pick Quick" burger sauce.

A local burger gem. Kind of want to gate keep but I will let you in on this secret. Fresh hot burgers, fries and THE BEST fresh banana shake. Bought a double patty with Tillamook Cheese and grilled onions... messy deliciousness. Fries were well seasoned. Get the special sauce for dipping! The shake was kept cold in the fridge since I ordered online. Super cute retro vibe... If you have not tried it... go

Tiny classic burger stand in Fife. Run by a bunch of friendly young people serving up made-to-order burgers, shoe string fries, chili and milkshakes. Because the burgers are made to order, they can be customized. You can get chili on your fries too! The milkshakes are made with real ingredients, none of the packaged stuff. What I really like you can get grilled onions with your burger. There are also hot fudge sundae and banana split you can enjoy outside on the picnic tables. On cold days, lots of takeout orders or just eat in your car!

    This is what you see.

We like to find those hidden gems when we wandered and this may be one...so far so good. We stopped by to get the 13yo a burger...and me a coney dog. The kid ordered a double cheese burger with bacon. He said it was okay, saying the patty was small and bland...keep in mind he salts everything...even salty fries...I know... My coney was decent, the dog was a bit salty and so was the chili...I still ate it all using the chili as dipping sauce. There's a good chance we may stop back...

The burgers weren't terrible and the staff was nice! Unfortunately my Diet Coke was flat and they gave me no ice, but were nice enough to give me a new soda (also with no ice). I don't know if this is common practice as I've never seen anything stored on the floor in any food service I have ever worked, but I saw that they keep their onions on the ground. I also watched the main cook walk out of the kitchen, touch multiple door handles and other things, not change his gloves or wash his hands, and then proceeded to touch our buns and our burgers. It was a little off-putting and i think we just won't return.

We use to eat here very often. 10 years ago we moved out of state. Today we flew in to visit family, said to hubby "need some lunch first" he remembered this place....BINGO that was some really good grub. Love you guys.

Stopped by Pick Quick Drive-In in Fife, and I appreciated that they now accept credit cards. It definitely makes things more convenient compared to their previous cash-only setup. There's plenty of outdoor seating, and it actually feels like they've added more since my last visit. The parking lot, however, is still a bit chaotic and unmarked, which isn't a problem when it's empty but gets tricky during peak hours. As always, the food hits the spot after stopped by the dealership with their classic drive-in fare done right. It can feel a bit heavy depending on what you order. Service is fast and no-frills, which matches the old-school vibe. It's a solid local spot for a quick and satisfying meal when you're craving burgers and shakes. JY review

Cute drive-in burger joint. Love that they have picnic tables out on the lawn behind their location. Great place to visit when the weather is nice and warm out.

Quick, friendly, efficient. Haven't been here in a long time. Just flew in from flying from Dubai and we wanted something delish and quick and this was a great stop on the way home. Staff is friendly and I know it's "normally" busy and with a long line I walked ordered and waited maybe 10 min for 2 burgers and fries.

Recently stopped in here for a date night with the wife…read more We've been looking for a decent replacement ever since Tacoma lost the Rhein Haus. Since my wife is of German heritage, brats and kraut are a thing in our life. The menu here looked really good, so we stopped in our 29th anniversary. I will say, there is a parking lot across the street. For those who've been in the area for a while and remember past times, it used to be a used car lot Luckily I found an empty spot on the street right out front, so I grabbed it. But yeah, parking in this area can be tricky. Just be aware that there is the lot across the street on Puyallup Avenue, the entrance is from "Court A", which looks like an alley but is technically a road. Tacoma is fun like that. So let's talk food. We ordered the Brätzel, because my wife loves a good soft pretzel with some beer cheese. This one states that it's a beer cheese soup, and it was a bit thinner than a typical beer cheese. But it had a really good flavor. It was not gritty at all like some beer cheese can be (I'm looking at you Hops&Drops). I'm not a huge pretzel fan, but I will say that I tried a portion of it and enjoyed this one. The pretzel had a good flavor and the beer cheese soup was great. We also split the Landjäger / Käse Platte. Let's get one thing clear, this thing is bigger than it looks on the menu. There's a lot here. I'm really not sure exactly which of the four cheese were which. If you go by the description on the Käse Platte then it should be Bavaria Bleu Crème, Raclette, Emmentaler and Butterkäse. The Bleu Crème is easy to spot. The rest look similar really. But each had a unique flavor and all tasted absolutely wonderful. The cured beef and pork sausages were good, but the cheese stole the show here. We also shared the Berliner Platte for a main. Again, I can not stress this enough, there is A LOT of food here. the two of us had no chance of eating all this. This plate comes with the following sausages; Berliner Bratwurst, Smoked Cheese, Spicy Cheese, Chicken Andouille & Bockwurst as well as being served with sauerkraut and you get to pick two sides. We chose the Spätzle and Pommes (fries). All of this was amazing. The spicy sausage and the andouille were too spicy for my wife, but we knew that going in. If you have a group and are wanting to sample the many wursts here, I would highly recommend this plate. Now, let's talk service. I don't remember our server's name, but she was so great. Very friendly, very tentative, very good at her job. This was exactly the kind of service I look for when I go out to a restaurant. I don't want some tablet where I'm interacting with a faceless machine, I don't want a kiosk, I want a real person who engages with us and helps make our experience the best it can be, and this place gets it. The staff here is on point, they are good, they take good care of you and the experience made s want to come back. This place is for sure at the top of our list for German food here in Tacoma. If you have not been, you need to stop by. It's not big, it's not fancy, you'll drive right by it if you aren't paying attention. But this place is by far the perfect replacement for our missing sausage haus. We are so glad we stopped in.

As we arrived, we weren't sure if needed to seat ourselves but by the time we were about to look at a sign, a kind waitress let us know that we can seat ourselves anywhere and brought us menus. I saw that they had tables with fires which was really cool but unfortunately there were a lot of people sitting there so we just sat at the longer tables. The interior of this place is huge and bright! They have plenty of seating inside and it looks like they do outdoor seating which is dog friendly. We were told that they will have days where they have musicians playing German music and that it attracts quite a large crowd. Our waitress Sara was hilarious, personable and did a great job of taking care of us. She really made the visit all the more memorable and fun! We did order a lot: Berliner Platter with chips and spatzle, Berliner Sliders with fries and a bratzel. We did not realize just how huge the portions were for everything, like the platter was going to be big but we weren't expecting the amount of food for other order. Everything tasted absolutely amazing though! We really enjoyed everything and they do not mess around with flavors cause you taste exactly what they advertised. The house made chips were also fantastic and probably some of the best I've ever had. My boyfriend and I are excited to return and definitely will be sharing this spot to others as we thought we had to drive to Leavenworth for good German food but it is closer to home than we thought!
