Not only did the place move, it's temp closed at the spot it moved to. All is not without hope. Enter Pietap. Yes. Pizza. I'm a huge fan of good pies. The place is on trend. I'm not really a hipster. I'm a bona-fide boomer. But, nice trendy spot with a mix of ages and demographics. Pizza is brick oven, so it takes a bit of time. Came out hot, looked delicious before the first bite. Dug in, flavor was even better than I expected. Tea was not full-bodied, though. Didn't do it for me. Glass went empty and wasn't offered a refill until I was ready for the check. Not a biggie, I didn't want one anywho. All in all, this was truly a gift from one spot being closed. Now I should go back and give them 4 stars for not being open. Take care of your awesome selves. We came between Xmas and New year's and it was very quiet. It is surprisingly big on the inside with modern interior and an outdoor patio. We sat at the front bar which is very long and served drinks and there was another one at the back over looking the pizza ovens as well as multiple tables. We were here around 2pm they were still serving brunch which sounded delicious, but my husband wanted to split a pizza so we did half prosciutto and half salami both were great. We also shared the chicken meatballs to start which had a great flavor. I had a mimosa and my husband liked his cocktail. Ok let's get right to it ! My wife wanted to celebrate her birthday and we were turned away because they only take reservations. Cool, so as we stood outside in front thinking of other options. Another couple was walking up and I informed them they are only accepting reservations. The young lady replied ooh no! The gentleman said let me check. I've worked in restaurants. I know the look. The "I don't feel like dealing with that table so I'll pretend I'm busy polishing an already clean glass" routine. It was textbook. 6, maybe 8 minutes of this circus and still not a single person comes over. Not a "hey we'll be right there," not a fake smile, not a lazy table touch. Nothing. So we walked out. And you know what? No one noticed. Not one person even blinked. This used to be a regular spot for us. But if you can't manage decent service when the place is empty, good luck when it's packed. Chicken was the family favorite but none disappointed. Gnocchi was one of the best dishes I have ever had (I am a big goat cheese fan). Order both desserts. Just do it. Raspberry mojito was light and my daughter loved the lemonade. One of our families all time favorite meals, and respectfully I didn't think I would be saying that about a pizza place. If you like pizza and pastas (who doesn't) then you must go to Pie Tap. Let me first start off with the appetizer that my wife and I shared, the fondue. It's not what you would traditionally think of with fondue, but it was a knockout. It's served with three pieces of their warm, scratch made rosemary bread which is to die for. On the side comes a goat cheese sauce and a pecan pepper jam. You can dip the bread in the various sauces individually or mix the two which provides a very interesting flavor profile. Both will leave you questioning which way is better. Im still undecided, but you owe it to yourself to try it and find out. For our entrees, we had a really hard time deciding between pizza and pasta. So my wife and I split a pizza which was perfect. They are the perfect size to split between 2 people. We also did a half and half and tried two different pizzas. My half was the salami which had spicy salami, sausage, bacon, pepperoni and peppers. It had a nice kick to it and would've been too spicy for children (we left them at home) but was perfect for me. The other half of the pizza was the prosciutto. It was served with, you guessed it, prosciutto, arugula, pistachio, and ricotta cheese. We had them take off the dates. I had never had pizza with ricotta cheese but it was great! Everything is made from scratch and the pizza dough is fabulous, I didn't leave a crumb behind. The pizza is much firmer than a neopolitan style pizza in that you can actually pick this one up (if you want to) and eat. Forks and knives aren't necessary but certainly aren't frowned upon either. Lastly, they have wine and beer on tap at this place. Drinks are pretty fairly priced as well as the food. The place was crowded and easy to see why... because it was so damned good. I'd recommend getting a reservation. Having said that, our server was prompt and food came out at an appropriate time. Will revisit this place for sure. I grabbed a snapshot of the brunch menu and it looks great. Hopefully my next visit is for brunch! read more

I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant and craved these so badly, it was legitimately my post delivery food... my husband went out and got the meatballs, bread with whipped ricotta, and one of their salads, it was just what the doctor ordered (being that I was told I was officially in the clear to get off the diabetes diet, I could have all the carbs I wanted).
