I really don't get the hype. The crust on the pizza was good. Like top 5 I've had, but just about everything else about this place seems designed to make me not want to return. Got the fondue, comes with one little bread thing that is never going to be enough to eat the cheese, so they charge you another $2 for another little bread thing. Second bread was ice cold in the middle, had to send it back for a replacement. For $10, it should come with enough bread to eat the cheese. Last I checked fondue wasn't eaten with fingers. Apparently the place is actually Chinese Take Out, not a pizza place, because a 12oz can of Diet Coke is $2.50. I get it, you want people to buy alcohol. But guess what? Sometimes there's a designated driver in the group. Screw them I guess? Even the water seemed designed to make you feel like a dirty hobo for not paying more for alcohol - warm, no ice. After the waitress brought us $5 worth of soda with no warning that we were being fleeced, it was hard to recover from that 'cheated' feeling. So the pizza. The crust is good. The rest, meh. Everything in the center was soggy and needed to be eaten with a knife and fork. If I'm eating pizza with a knife and fork, I had better be in Chicago. read more

Great dinner here tonight! We split the meat and cheese tray. My husband didn't have high hopes but was very surprised. It was on point! The goat cheese with pistachios and honey was to die! We also got the pappardelle and bolognese and a pizza. Super impressed with both. Crust on the pizza was just right with a hint of sourness in the dough and very chewy. We will definitely be back. I was excited to dine in a restaurant for the first time in months!! There were 3 other tables besides ours and it took 15 minutes to be addressed by the waiter, and nearly 1.5 hours to get the one pizza we ordered. The waiter apologized for the long wait and said it was due to a lot of to-go orders coming in. He did refill the drinks promptly, which I appreciated. The pizza wasn't bad. I had the veggie. The crust was really thin and bland, but the toppings were good. The lemon pepper wings were good though. Unfortunately, the service and the food weren't good enough for me to recommend this place or return. The manager stopped by to clean our table that the waiter didn't come back to after getting paid...I told him it look nearly 1.5 to get our single pizza. He replied "oh no, I was here the whole time, next time we will do better." Pretty disappointed about his useless response that left us even less motivated to return. read more

Service wasn't great at all unfortunately, the food was awesome so that I wouldn't say it was the worst experience. Although, our waitress (who was nice) barley came by and never offered to bring the check. We waited forever on the check, we ended up having to ask for someone else to bring it. We witnessed what seemed to be the assistant manager ask a large table to move outside and seemed to try too rush them to leave to get another table in (they were not happy and left as soon as they finished paying). Also, the bottle of wine we ordered was border line hot which kinda ruined that. I hate to write such a strong review, but we do really enjoy their food and would like to go back again. I've given this place 4 visits and Everything is decent here except the pizza. The atmosphere, the knots , the meatballs , the brunch and the donuts are all pretty good . The tap beer was a little warm but whatever , it was a 110 degrees outside. The service was average but not bad. The pizza however is typical brick oven thin crust pizza but it's so greasy that it's wet and soggy. The kids cheese pizzas weren't as greasy but there was hardly any cheese or sauce , basically burnt bread. It's bad when you can't get a 7yr old and 3yr old to eat pizza. There are 4 better options all within 2 miles , I'd choose one over this place unless you just want some beers and appetizers. read more

Just got done having dinner at Pie Tap. I won't be back. Ever. Had dinner with one of their regulars who happens to be a friend of mine. Because today is a sentimental day for my friend, I tried to pick up the check for us. The bartender took his card, even though I insisted otherwise. My boyfriend and I came on a Friday night at about 6:30pm, we had to wait to sit at the pizza bar for about 15 minutes (a table would have taken an hour). The service was above average, the hostesses were nice and our server was super knowledgeable. They were out of the beer that I requested, so that was a bummer. My family had a wonderful meal at this new restaurant. We started off with the garlic knots and whipped asiago cheese. What a great combination. You must love garlic because there is no skimping on that front. Next we had a standard salad, which was fresh and topped with a vinaigrette dressing. We finished with pepperoni pizza. The bread of both the knots and the crust was really tasty but you will find the crust a bit tougher than crusts at most establishments. The ambiance is quite nice inside and on the patio. Pie Tap is a great addition the the Park and Preston area. Dinner, brunch and happy hour have all been great experiences. HH is now until 6 m-f and includes wine, cocktails and beer. Best gluten free gf pizza you can get in Dallas. We have tried everywhere and this is he absolute best we have ever had.

Five of us went this week and all enjoyed our meals. We tasted three pies: BBQ, sausage and veggie pizza. The veggie had a nice mix of things you don't usually see on pizza including broccolini and eggplant! Be sure to get the "bones dipping sauces". They beat dipping the crusts in ranch!!!! (Especially the goat cheese sauce which had just the mild tang of the cheese without being over powering.) They have only been open a week, so please cut them some slack if the service isn't perfect yet. The waiter admitted it was his 5th day!
