I see from prior reviews, they were lucky to have fast, friendly service. We were not so lucky. We approached the counter with no line. The gal filling the veggie containers did not glance at us once. We stood there. Spoke out loud to each other about which pizza we wanted. No glance from her. She, instead, looked over her shoulder to the (soon-to-be-obvious new guy) who was preparing pizza dough and told him to "help these customers". Still no look from her. The new guy did the best he could, but he kept having to glance at the menu board to make our Smokin Buffalo Chicken. Unfortunately, he made a hybrid between that and the Fire Grill BBQ. The other gal who brought it out (uncut at first) at least did notice, and offered to remake it, but we declined. It likely would not have made much difference as it tasted about as good as a frozen one you'd make at home. I can see the benefit, I guess, of someone coming with your kids and piling on as much mess as you can on a pie for $9; but there are better pizza choices. P.S. The salad was good, but the balsamic vinegarette dressing, I think was straight vinegar - no oil. read more

So thankful for the crew at Pieology in Folsom! Right away they asked if my ordering a cauliflower crust was preference or an allergy. Awesome! It's from an allergy! No other Pieology has ever asked me that. They took precautions like changing their gloves and sweeping a space in the oven for my pie! THANK YOU! You get it! I get so sick from exposure to gluten it's crazy. Not only were they careful, they were super friendly and so polite! Outstanding!! Great food, immaculate bathrooms, efficient and friendly staff. The food was amazing. Always so fresh and tastes incredible. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. There was a large party of us and they threw in a couple of dessert pizzas for us at the end of our meal. But when Jonathan heard that I initially wanted a discontinued item but had already paid, he custom made one on the house. This is an updated review. In an old review I gave this place 5 stars but something has changed. The last two times I went to Pieology I swear the pizzas got smaller. A lot smaller. They were so small I don't plan on going back. The first time it happened I just thought it was a mistake. But it happened again. Two consecutive bad experiences at this place. It used to be good with friendly customer service but of late, it is very disappointing. First time, they gave the wrong pizza crust than we ordered and it was not well made either. We had to toss it away at home. And today the person who serviced us was very rude, hesitant to change her gloves since we had allergies, immediately imposed new rules on veg topping limits(3 to 5) beyond which will be charged but this was never advertised in the store and exhibited racism in her behavior. The lady had her friends just behind us and none of the above rules were imposed on them. I never expected this service from Pieology. I am hoping the management takes note of this and educate their staff. I would think twice before going to Pieology Folsom again. read more

This used to be our favorite pizza place however we won't be back. We ordered our usual pizza, only topping was tomatoes and basil. The six pieces of tomato didn't seem like much so I asked for a little more. I was told that was the amount to company allowed but she'd put on a couple more. I said that I wasn't getting anything else on it so I thought I could request more. She again stated it's company policy. Then my husband asked for a water cup. It was seriously the size of a shot glass. He commented on the size and the girl said, well it's free. He suggested they get bigger water cups and again rudely said it's free. The staff were friendly and the place looks great. The only reason for a star down is having to ask for more of a topping a couple of times. After that it was delicious and all good. Some people only want a few toppings and more of those few but the staff try to skimp and then you feel bad asking for more of something. My guess it was first month kinks. The Pieology in Rancho has it down now and soon this place will too. The taste is better than Sacramento Pizza Company. The atmosphere was loud and upbeat. They funnel you in to order so once you go through the line you head into dining room area. The tables turn over quickly and staff were picking up the trays and garbage. Pieology is a positive pizza addition to Folsom. Try it out. read more

Fresh food, great service. Pricing not bad. Not too loud, casual. Great family place. Pizzas take between 5 and 10 minutes to cook. They have signature and build your own. They have embraced plant based protien, gluten free, and low calorie cauliflower options that look as good as the rest. We accidentally forgot to order a salad and got back in line. Went here for lunch today with some co-workers and the service was really good! The pizza was good too, and there were a lot of options for customization, but the service really made this experience above and beyond for me. The cashier (sadly did not get a name) was so friendly and very accommodating. He took away our finished pizza pans, AND (this is what made me want to write my review) as we were leaving and he was cleaning something by the opposite door, he opened his door to say goodbye and thank you for coming. This is a small instance, but it's just a reminder that there are really kind people out there!!! read more

Not happy with that facts that the only vegan crust available is the gluten free crust, which they typically manage to burn. For a place that offers vegan toppings you would assume that they would also have regular vegan crust available as well! Personally I won't be checking in until that changes . read more

have never experienced bad customer service than I have at this location. I decided to go to lunch with my family and the customer service was AWFUL. Every single person in the establishment was rude and not helpful in answering any of my questions. One person in particular by the name of KEISHA threw the utensils when I asked for Parmesan cheese on my pizza. Then she proceeds to mumble something under her breath and then throw the meat on top of my pizza(so rude), but the best part is she just stormed off into the back of the restaurant and slammed the door and left my food sitting there and I wasn't finished ordering? I also saw her pull up her pants(with the gloves she was using to touch my food) and then proceeds to add more items to my meal. The other 3 employees ran after her and my family and I were just left sitting there with a unfinished meal. Another worker had to come over and help us because everyone working at the corner left us just standing there. There wasn't a manager on duty, and no one apologized for anyones actions at all. The customer service here is TRASH and the food wasn't even that good. They have limited salad options and NO diet soda either. I was very displeased with my service and will NOT be returning. What was not ok, in my opinion, was for an employee to say "I have a deal for you" and proceeded to tell us that if we gave a five star Yelp review before we left and physically show it to her, she would then give a discount for next time. This is bribery for a specific five star Yelp review, which might not even be honest. It would have been different if they ask for just a Yelp review or even maybe a good Yelp review, but to ask for a five star Yelp review inr return for something, not ethical. read more

I also don't eat cheese, even on my pizza - so I love being able to make mine at places like these. Think of subway - but for pizza! Basic concept: Design your own pizza with as much or as little toppings as your heart desires. One price - around $9. Personally: meat, meat, meat, and more meat. Add olives, onion, garlic. (No cheese!) I do like pieology, I wish they had different crust choices (wheat, anyone?) but overall, it's a great lunch or dinner spot. This is better service then any sit down pizza place I have been to. The manager John is so helpful and is always leading his team to success!
