I ordered the clam chowder and, of course, oysters. The oysters were all amazing, with a great variety to choose from. They were shucked really well and came with both a mignonette sauce and a jalapeño sauce, which paired nicely with them. They are a bit pricey, but that's oysters for you. The restaurant itself is pretty big, though it can get packed during peak hours. If you're driving, just know there's no nearby parking since it's located on the waterfront, so you'll likely have to park a few blocks away. Overall, a great spot if you're craving fresh oysters with a view.

It's located on prime waterfront and we dined outside on the deck, which was fantastic, but the food and service left a lot to be desired. We started with the manila clams and they forgot to bring our crostini. By the time they brought it, the clams were getting cold. It was also SO loaded with garlic that it could've repelled 20 vampires. Literally, all you could taste was heavy salt and garlic. The clam linguine also suffered from the same problem. It was a pile of overcooked linguine, and again, heavy on the salt and garlic, light on the pesto. The $65 filet mignon was a joke. Don't ever order this. We asked for it to be prepared medium rare and we received filet that was cut in half and completely well done. Unlike the clam dishes, the steak was under-salted and accompanied by potatoes that were cooked to different levels of done-ness and some chewy asparagus. Dessert was the only thing that we enjoyed. The 9 layer chocolate cake was devine and the best part of our meal. Overall, an overpriced tourist trap and they include a 20% service charge that gets added pre-tax and they pay their server a 12% "commission" off of the 20%. WTF?! Avoid at all costs.

Seattle Fish Guys is a small store with very limited indoor seating and a couple of picnic tables outside for when the weather is nice. Overall, it is a little pricey, but still an authentic Hawaiian poke experience, which can be hard to find in Seattle proper. Sweet Shoyu Salmon (4.25/5): Salmon is fatty and almost melt in your mouth with a perfectly balance between sweet and savory. Onions add a bit of tang and overall a pretty perfect poke. Creamy Spicy Tuna (3.25/5): The texture on the tuna was just much less satisfying and this poke kind of just tasted overwhelmingly of sriracha. Definitely go for the salmon instead. Smoked Salmon Mac Salad (4/5): Not the creamy mac salad I was expecting, but instead a drying mac salad with a very generous amount of smoked salmon flaked in it. Definitely the boujee-est side I've gotten at a poke shop!

Located a few blocks from Amtrak's King Street Station, Taylor Shellfish offered an inviting mix of lunch and dinner menu items. In its website, we learn that this is the brand's Oyster Saloon "because it is the perfect place to enjoy our specialty cocktails or a drink of your choice from our extensive bar offerings with freshly shucked oysters during an after work happy hour." I was looking for a light lunch, and selected Classic Clam Steamers, served in a shallot, butter, garlic and white wine broth ($19). Fit the bill perfectly. The seating was ample, vibe was friendly (FIFA's World Cup was in full gear), conversations were easy to participate in, and service was excellent. Restroom was clean, the Saloon was well-lit, and the bar was well-stocked.

We arrived around 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and were told the wait would be about an hour and 15 minutes. We asked about the bar, and after about five minutes, two seats opened up. We ordered the Dinghy chowder sampler so we could try three different chowders. We came for the clam chowder. I thought the flavor was good, although the texture was a little different for me. The biggest disappointment was the regular clam chowder. We don't eat bacon, and they told us the bacon could not be left out. Since clam chowder was the main reason we came, that really took away from the experience. A few minutes after we ordered, a couple sitting next to us at the bar asked the same question we did: "Is there bacon in the award-winning clam chowder?" When the server said yes, they said, "Okay, never mind. We don't want that." So we weren't the only ones asking. We ended up having the lobster chowder. Overall, 3 out of 5. The experience was okay, but because we couldn't really try the clam chowder we came for, we don't plan to come back.
