Miners Landing is where most of the dining and entertaining activities are located. It is on Pier 57. The great wheel is part of the section. They have other popular activities like wings over washington and Sasquatch mountain ride. Inside the building there are several restaurants, gift shops, ice cream parlor and a carousel. The restaurants in here have waterside table, both indoor and outdoors. Tickets are available for each individual activity or a pier pass that includes bunch of them. We bought couple of tickets for the carousel ride. Each turn was about 90 seconds. My daughter loved the ride. Inside the building it was mostly clean. There were some photo props and arcade games available as well. Staff members were friendly. read more

I have been to Miners Landing multiple times and enjoyed it up until this most recent time. There was an absolutely sickening, putrid smell emanating from the arcade area. It was a horrific awful stench as if a rotten egg or piece of fish had been rotting away somewhere in one of the crevices of the games. This area desperately needs a massive cleaning and sanitation sweep. It was disgusting. The sickening smell aside Miners Landing is fun, it's retro, vintage-- a walk through nostalgia of many eras long gone. It's gimmicky in a way that I like. It's also got clean bathrooms and my toddler loved riding the carousel. It's also very spendy and no one working there seemed to be in a remotely good mood. read more

Definitely give Miners Landing a visit when in the area! Its a short walk from Pike Place Market and there is plenty to do. We decided to get on the ride, Wings Over Washington and it did not disappoint! We had SOOO much fun! My only complaint was that we did not want it to stop! The employees we interacted with on this day were friendly and helpful! Make sure to also check out the Ferris wheel and the boat ride! The boat ride wasn't running when we stopped by, but it also looks like a lot of fun. The inside has restaurants, an ice cream shop, an arcade, and a gift shop. The inside is really cute and it has several levels. There are bathrooms located inside as well and at the time we stopped by, they were clean. This is definitely worth checking out! read more

This a very cheesy pier and shopping mall on the waterfront of Seattle. The design of the place is inspired by the 1890s gold rush of the Pacific Northwest. So, the interior looks a bit like something from the Wild West. There are a handful of restaurants serving mainly seafood, souvenir stores, and fast food options. The place was very empty when I went and is actually not that big. There is no reason to go here when you already have Pike Place Market nearby. read more

Great waterfront location and just what we were craving after a long conference day. It was one of the few places near the water that was still open for dinner, so we ordered in the casual dining area and sat at the tables in the seating area. Stopped here with my two kids after walking around the Pike Place Market, it's in close proximity and a short walk to the Market which was nice. The pier is absolutely beautiful, it was clean and offered lots to do. Outside, they have a Ferris Wheel (Great Wheel) you can ride, as well as other attractions like a boat tour and Wings over Washington. Inside there are arcades, ice cream, a vintage carousel, shops, snacks, and restaurant. Our visit was on a Sunday around 2pm, almost everything inside was closed, expect for the ice cream shop, some stores, and the arcade. My kids and I were able to sit on the pier and enjoy the water and people watch for a little bit. This Pier is definitely worth a visit. I'd really like to return once everything inside is back open again. read more

Fun place for the kids. The decor is a hoot with mining items, dinosaurs, and even a statue of the Rat-Pack, so a little bit of everything. Went out looking for a good shrimp po boy and came across this place. What looked very promising ended up being a little "bland." The issue I discovered is the bun had too much bread and it really hides the taste of the fried shrimp. It could have also used more aioli sauce to help with the flavor of the food. Miner's Landing is on Pier 57 in Seattle. It's billed as "Gateway to the Alaska Gold Rush". We rode the Ferris Wheel here. The two adult tickets cost $16 each. At the bottom of the ticket it states, "Expires one year from issue date". So you don't have to use the ticket the same day that you purchase it. They rotated us three times, 360 degrees in a circle. You get opportunities for still photographs when they let the people off that boarded before you. It is a wonderful opportunity to take pictures of the piers, ocean and downtown Seattle with the skyscrapers. See attached photographs. Theres a lot to see here, but it all feels chaotic and poorly organized. However, the biggest issue is that it seems very shady. Be very careful with your money and valuables here. We almost got pickpocketed by a child, and then watched as two adult men ran interference for him, then got him out before we got security. Smacks of organized crime preying on tourists by using children who people will be less likely to be suspicious of, and possibly human trafficking of the children they are using. It blows me away; I never imagined this kind of thing was happening in Seattle. After this incident my partner and I were very sketched out, and left. read more

SO many good seafood options here. If you are looking for a nice sit down restaurant, they have a few of those. If you just want to grab some food from a quick service place, they have plenty of those as well! I opted for a quick service as we had paid parking for only 2 hours nearby and we needed to head back to the car. I got smoked cod and jojos which were basically like soft potato wedges. The smoked cod was the tastiest! The smoky flavor came through just enough, and the jojos were thick and soft, and salted perfectly. We also tried some fresh hot sourdough bread from the Alaskan Bread eatery inside. We were rushed so we didn't have time to look at everything we wanted so this is a place we will be back too forsure. There was a little indoor carousel in the back that was neat. read more

Tourist trap. I only come to Minders Landing when I'm at the waterfront with a tourist and that's that. Yet, that's not a particularly bad thing. Miner's Landing just isn't a place I'd normally go to otherwise. But one-time guests seem to enjoy it. Located on the waterfront, its prime location is what attracts people. Inside Miners Landing is mostly casual food and souvenir shops, with some tourist attractions like the Ye Olde Curiosity Shop and Wings Over Washington. It gets popular during those rare sunny days in Seattle, so expect a crowd in the late summer. I would say though that Miners Landing is worth a gander with guests if you're around the Seattle waterfront, especially if your guests have children. Lots of photo opportunities with life-size characters inside; plus, there are restrooms. read more

I stop here every time I'm in Seattle. It's a really fun shopping area by the water with a carousel and shooting gallery, ice cream and coffee stores, lots of gems and jewelry, and restaurants and clothing stores too. The shops are boutiquey and awesome. The Fisherman's Restaurant is an pretty good stop in there, (though, there are better, cheaper options in Seattle): They have sit down or open window restaurant (Laura was our server at the open window on the most recent visit,) but we also dined indoors later that weekend. Their oyster shooter is pretty sloppy but it's only $3 - our last visit it was like an oyster stuck at the bottom of the glass overfilled with tomato juice. Clam chowder bread bowl is $10.50 and it's pretty tasty, and Bud Light is half that price ($5.25 ea). It's ok fare and usually no wait, but service has yet to impress me. read more

This was a beautiful, fun and vibrant place. But also very over rated for value. We had dinner at The Fishermen's Restaurant. We were hoping for a meal to match the ambiance. We were very disappointed. The server, however was amazing. Friendly, attentive and helpful. The food LOOKED GREAT! My husbands crab wad good. Not amazing. But not bad. I ordered the Prime Rub dinner. It was so tasteless and cold I couldn't even eat it. The fries were substandard (the original option was rice pilaf, but I'm not a fan of that, so they let me substitute.) Long story short, the server was kind and wise enough to remove my prime rib from our very hefty bill. The look of the restaurant, the view and the server we had was lovely. But honestly, I doubt we'll return, unless it's just for a glass of wine or beer. read more

Yes, Miner's Landing is a tourist trap, but it is an awesome tourist trap. I mean, what are you looking for when you are a tourist in Seattle with your kids? Oysters, fish and chips and ice cream. Miner's Landing delivers 100% in that sense. Also, it is MOST conveniently located on the same pier and within walking distance of the Seattle Aquarium AND the sightseeing cruises loading docks. It's really convenient and have shops that would more than suffice. read more

Pier 57 is home to Miners Landing, which is the building that houses all of the businesses. It's the same pier with the Ferris wheel. ATMOSPHERE: The building is reminiscent of an old millhouse/wild west building/log cabin. The exterior is decorated with colorful signs which stirs your curiosity and forces you to go in and look around. The interior continues with the same theme with wood from floor to ceiling, old photos and faux animal head mounts. It houses several restaurants including The Crab Pot where we ate lunch, a small mix of shops and an arcade with carousel at the end. As far as parking, I saw some street parking and some pay lots across the way. read more

Very disappointed!! Spent $80+ on two people we ordered the whole crab a dungeons and the smoker cod with potatoes. The whole crab was priced at $40 I've seen it at the store some times at $18/lbs or as high as $29 per pound. $40 didn't seem so bad since it's a restaurant. The crab was so small I'm wondering if the size was even legal to catch... it was missing a main claw it only came with one, I got up, tried to talk to the person at the counter who only yelled at me because I was not "in line" and told me to go stand in line! After I yelled back and said I already paid $40 for a crab and this is what I got the guy looked at me with an angry face and said just a moment. When he came to talk to me I had already been standing there for about 10min that's a long freaking time to wait when you are hungry and you just got jacked! I pointed out that the crab was missing one of its main claws the guy told me they come like that some times.. I said yeah they do come out of the water like that some times but when you pay $40 at a restaurant that advertises WHOLE crabs you need to serve the whole crab!! Long story short I got my whole crab but only after arguing with a moron about it. We also ordered the smoked cod, the fish it self was good! Great flavor and well cooked. All we got with the fish were cold potatoes.. nothing else even though the menu said it came with coleslaw. When we ordered I told my friend "maybe we should go somewhere else"I had a feeling things were not going to be good just based on the attitude of the person taking orders, she looked like she was having a terrible day! Save your selfs the payroll and get a machine instead at least machines don't talk back with attitude! The place was very busy but I thought that was a good thing specially after everything that has happened! If you don't want to work quit! Don't ruin someone's business because you are a shitty employee!! Do your self a favor and walk up the street to pike place market, whole cooked crabs there about $20 depending on size they can be more.. Bad food, Terrible service m.. NEVER SHOP AT THIS PLACE. As a resident of Seattle I am personally embarrassed to have ever come to this place. I took my family here to show them one of the cute souvenir shops that Seattle has to offer. We had gotten ice cream outside in at the Seattle creamery ice cream shop and then proceeded to go into the gift shop. There was a no ice cream sign on the door that we had missed and while I totally understand that we should have paid more attention the way we were treated us completely unforgivable. My family and I all split up to do solo shopping, a few minutes later I see a security guard full on yelling at my little brother (13yrs old) I walk over and ask her what's going on very calmly, the next thing I know I'm being pushed out the door along with my little brother getting yelled at that if we return she will call the cops.... WHAT!? Meanwhile my mom is still inside the shop cashing out, completely oblivious that her children just got kicked out of the store. The security guard walks back in telling the whole store gloating that she just kicked out two people who deserved it and that the store doesn't need our business. I have never been so upset, or so embarrassed by a store I always take family and friends to. I am in the hospitality business and the fact that we were treated this way completely lowers my faith in this family run store. This security guard needs to learn a thing or two about customer service and how to talk to people. You have forever lost mine and those I bring to Seattle's business. read more

This place brings a certain nostalgia when I visited recently. It kind of reminds me of an indoor carnival. It seems like a neat place to spend the afternoon but it was so chaotic in here! I felt like no matter where I was, there was a stampede of people trying to get up and down the stairs, to stores, to the eats found inside, and not to mention the long and slow moving line to the ladies bathroom. This place is worth checking out. It's friendly for all ages but I'd you have a baby I recommend you leave the stroller because it was crowded! There are several shops and several places to eat as well. The kiddos and adults alike can enjoy a ride on the carousel (conveniently inside the building). Enjoy the ambiance! I wasn't sure we should eat here since it only gets 3 stars overall, but Miner's Landing didn't disappoint. We had an early dinner in the section downstairs, not the food court upstairs. There was a 10 min wait, but it really didn't seem to take that long. Our server was prompt and friendly. We had the Emerald City Long Island special to start. It was OK. I think I prefer regular long islands, which are made with Coke. The Emerald City version is made with Sprite and something that makes it green. It kind of tasted like Gatorade haha. I had the clam chowder bread bowl, and my BF had the coconut crusted mahi mahi. Both were really good! The sourdough is soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. There didn't seem to be very many clams in the chowder, but I was still happy with the flavor overall. Keep in mind that this is only my second bowl of chowder, first being at Ivars. The mahi mahi was perfect! If we ever go back, I'm ordering that. It comes with a tasty orange dipping sauce and the is fish perfectly crispy. I'm going with 4 stars because the drink wasn't anything special. In fact, it was kind of weak by Long Island standards. Especially for $10.95. Other than that, nothing to complain about!
