Classic, old school Italian food. We had the meatballs and the charcuterie appetizers. Meatballs came with a side of ricotta and covered in red sauce. The charcuterie had a nice selection of cheese and meats. Sunday gravy as a main course. More meatballs, sausages, and ricotta. The red sauce was great. We (3) were in town (from Hawaii) to attend the Still Raining (Jung Ji-hoon) concert at the MGM, so we made a reservation at Piero's Italian Cuisine at the corner of Paradise and Convention Center Drive. It was the first visit for us to this Vegas landmark. The restaurant reminded me of old school, traditional Italian / Steak House with no windows and very subdued lighting, the kind of place for a romantic rendezvous. My experience in ordering a bottle of wine was problematic as three of my selections were unavailable. The wine book at Piero's is extensive and I was pleased to see a wide selection of French Burgundies ... Well, they weren't in stock. I then moved onto an American Pinot Noir and was dismayed to find that was unavailable. If it weren't for another wait person who said he saw that bottle (Kistler Reserve, $150), I might still be there trying to select a bottle. I think the restaurant should have an insert in the wine book indicating what is out, so the customer doesn't get frustrated when selecting a wine. I suppose I should have selected an Italian wine, but I didn't see anything compelling. Perhaps a sommelier, if Piero's has one, could have facilitated my search for an appropriate wine. Bread and butter were brought to the table but interestingly, it was taken away before we were served our main course. Entrees come with a pretty large salad, so we split the Hamachi Crudo special ($29) and ordered Linguine Pomodoro ($29), Orecchiette with Prosciutto and Peas ($42) and Osso Bucco ($62) and two sides, Broccolini ($15) and Grilled Asparagus ($15). The linguini looked fine, and the orecchiette was delicious. My osso bucco came with a large serving of pasta which I had them box up. The veal was tender and the sauce was flavorful; we had no issues with any of our entrees. The broccolini was a disappointment; it was not seasoned or dressed sufficiently; it was just a mound of broccoli to us. We had no issues with the grilled asparagus. I must say the portions are large so come with a hearty appetite. We had Tiramisu ($15) and Profiteroles ($15) for dessert; I convinced a tablemate to have one of the profiteroles because three was too large an order for me. I paired my share of the profiteroles with a cup of (okay) coffee ($5). The tab was $408.57, and I left a $90 tip. What did I think? It was good but not great. I think I expected more from Piero's, but it might be the problem in ordering wine that tainted my experience. The place was packed with diners so it must be fine dining, Italian style. Ok so I've eaten at a lot of Vegas restaurants. Everyone has been telling me to try Pieros. I was skeptical of all the hype. Boy I as I wrong. This one is iconic. I had Sunday gravy- and it was one of the best dishes of pasta I've eaten! The salad, sides were all so delicious/ I had to try not to get full before my meal came. The decor was awesome. This is probably my very favorite Vegas upscale restaurant. Been going there for many years. The last of the classy old school places with great food, service and great martinis! It was a Mob favorite and has been the backdrop of many movies. I hope the new owners won't change a single thing. It's a Vegas Classic!! It's better than anything in a Strip hotel. Try the "Garbage salad" a local favorite that used to b served only by request. It was not on the menu back in the day. read more

Wow... amazing. I'm extremely happy to update my review and state what a fantastic evening we had last night. From the time we arrived the service was beyond five star. Tim our captain is by far one of their greatest assets. He treats everyone like family and makes your night that most pleasant evening you've ever had. We started off with a shrimp cocktail and a crab cake. Both were beyond perfection. We had a filet, NY strip, lamb chops, and a side of angel hair with pomodoro sauce and finished it off with coffee, chocolate cake, and cheesecake. The best Italian food I've ever had outside of my own kitchen. The ambiance is old school Vegas with a touch of modern flair. It's clean, dim lit and bustling. The waiters are all amazing and very knowledgeable. They know everything about each of their dishes. There wasn't a thing I ate that wasn't amazing. After a long absence, Diane and I ate here again with two discerning local diners who we met on a cruise ship traveling around Southern Japan last month. Again, I was on the spot to pick a suitable dining venue, and Piero's did not disappoint. At meal's end our new friends indicated that they were pleased with the choice. We opened with a Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, adding a shrimp so that each diner would have one whole crustacean. The shrimps were colossal in size, fresh, and meaty. Golden Crispy Mozzarella and a complimentary Bread Basket and butter rounded out the apps. Next I ordered a Caesar Salad with Brown Anchovies, which was large and filling; and on second thought added a Bowl of Pasta Fagioli, which was hot and packed with fresh flavors. Although this place is known for great Osso Bucco, this time I opted for an entree of Veal Scaloppine Marsala. The veal scallops and mushrooms served were tender and generous in amount, and the Marsala Sauce was light and delectable. My entree went very well with ordered sides of Sauteed Spinach and Crispy Potato Wedges, which came with a great and unusual Mushroom Aioli. Meanwhile, Diane ordered and received boneless Veal Parm Alfredo, which was made to order for her. I wasn't planning on any dessert, but when I saw the dessert tray I succumbed to the Five-Layer Chocolate Cake a la mode. It was delicious, but far larger than I could handle. So, not wanting to bring extra calories home, I reluctantly left two-thirds of the moist and delicious beauty behind. Now I miss it (Sob! Sob!)! Food was spot on; booth seating was very comfortable; and service by multiple servers was mostly good. But anchovies for my salad were initially forgotten; our main server was missing for a time when needed; and requested separate bills per couple had to be redone. But that was quickly fixed, and we all really enjoyed our 2-1/2-hour meal. XXXX-1/2 stars overall this time around! read more

Old school service and excellent food. The service staff was very professional, classy, and knowledgeable, I started with the fried mozzarella... It was very light and very flavorful. The Pomodoro sauce was very tasty. I believe you can tell if a restaurant is going to be good, particularly an Italian restaurant, by the quality of the bread. And the bread here was excellent. Crispy and flavorful... I could've gone for two, but I controlled myself. I had the swordfish in mustard sauce with a side of spaghetti. The swordfish was enormous And very tasty. The spaghetti and sauce was a nice compliment. Old-school Italian flavor. I was pretty stuffed, but was convinced by my waiter to try one of the desserts. I had the profiteroles which were very fresh and sweet. The custard was particularly delicious. I would certainly recommend this place if you're in Vegas. It's old school, they have live jazz, music, And just has an old world charm. Five stars. read more

We decided on this restaurant because it was nearby our hotel and it did not disappoint! We thankfully made reservations ahead of time because when we got in, other people were trying to dine in and they were booked for the rest of the day. I feel like we had a few people attending to us so it got a little confusing and we sat at a table near the kitchen and I just felt like I was getting bumped a few times by the servers passing with food trays and what not. The food itself was great, they were huge portions of food and the bread was delicious. I ordered the linguine pomodoro and upgraded the house salad to a Caesar and it was amazing! This old school Italian restaurant is a great place for a celebration or date. Everyone is so attentive. I got to my appointment early so sat at the bar for a glass of Pinot Grigio. I don't know what the bartender gave me but it was delish. The food so so good. Really you could do this family style. We ordered calamari, meatballs, and for my entree a giant veal chop parmigiana. This restaurant is a fabulous piece of Vegas history. It truly lives up to the hype for excellent service, food and Old Vegas vibes. I've been a couple of times, most recently with my company's CEO and 6 colleagues. We received exceptional service, over and above what I'd experienced in past visits, likely because our CEO is a regular who knows everyone in town, including Mayor Carolyn Goodman and her husband, former Mayor Oscar Goodman, who happened to be celebrating their 61st wedding anniversary and stopped by our table to say hi. Telling that they chose Piero's over Oscar's own restaurant at the Plaza! The place was packed and lively for a Tuesday. Part of the fun of dining in places like this is the atmosphere of cheerful conversation mixed with class and sophistication. Fried calamari, spinach ravioli with Alfredo sauce for appetizers, FANTASTIC! Garbage Caesar salad (with avocado, shrimp, hearts of palm etc) for the table was delightful! I ordered the Osso Buco, their specialty, and it was divine. Others at the table had halibut, linguine with clams, carpaccio, and an assortment of delectable sides. Cocktails were mixed perfectly, they have an extensive wine list, the red Cab and white Pino we ordered were lovely, although I can't recall their names. We all shared the rice pudding, cannoli, Nutella crème brûlée, and cream puffs - all were delicious but I was most surprised by how much I liked the rice pudding! I finished the evening's culinary feast with the most perfect cappuccino. My family & I are always looking for places we can only get wherever we are on vacation & Piero's is definitely that kind of destination. Reservations were not required, but suggested (we went mid-week), I would expect if you are planning a weekend visit that you would want to make a reservation to ensure timely seating. As for the actual food... Fantastic comes to mind. We had a variety of menu options, Osso Bucco, steaks, etc. Drinks were top shelf as well... Dessert is a must too. Overall, I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who wants a quality meal with excellent service in a classic atmosphere. read more

We had the crab cake to start, so delicious!! Then we had the Maui onion salad. It was onions, tomatoes, and avocado. It wasn't was what we expected but so delicious. I've been referred to Piero's a couple times but been with larger groups of people for a conference and they were always booked solid. I know why now. All the wonderful recommendations came front and center last night. A wonderful dining experience. Service was top notch! I opted to keep it simple and try an old favorite. Linguini and clams in a white wine garlic sauce and it was Devine! I sampled the veal from my business associate and it was tender and flavorful. We all sampled the Oysters on the half shell, Shrimp and it was the perfect appetizer. And for dessert...heaven. Cannolis, cream puffs, and rice pudding. I'm looking forward to the next time... We arrived a bit early for our 8:15 reservations. We only waited for a few minutes before we were seated. We were seated in a booth as requested on our reservation. Complimentary bread and butter. We ordered the crab cake for our appetizer which was an off menu special for the night ($29). It was delicious! It had a tomato-based sauce which is not common for crab cake appetizers. I ordered the grilled veal chop ($65) and since it doesn't come with anything, I ordered a side (half order) of the rigatoni bolognese ($20). The 16oz veal chop was cooked as ordered (medium rare) and was tender. The rigatoni bolognese cooked al dente and just enough flavor me. The half order was a good portion. My boyfriend ordered the Sunday Gravy pasta (Rigatoni, Meatballs, Italian Sausage, Ricotta), and he real liked it - Excellent blend of multiple flavors. The rigatoni was al dente, meatball was good and sausage was excellent. Portion was good for the price ($49) There were several items on the dessert tray which I wanted to try. We ordered the raspberry cheesecake and it was amazing! Ambiance - it was busy and can get loud when packed or when you're seated beside a long table with a huge party. We were glad we sat in a booth which made it less noisy. Lighting was just right (not too dim nor too bright). Service - our servers were nice, easy to find, and checked on us regularly. Skyler was friendly and had a good demeanor. Service after seating to receiving the menu took a while. Time from ordering to serving the appetizer, and also the time from finishing the appetizer to serving the entree was a bit longer than usual. Aside from the $15 cheesecake, the price for the appetizer and our entree was reasonable for the quality of food and portions. They have their own parking lot. Highly recommend making reservations and if you're on a date, I suggest requesting booth seating. We did not have any issue and were very happy with our orders. I would give this place a 4.5 stars, but since that is not possible, I am rounding up to 5. I would definitely return to this place. read more

Piero's was a much needed, filling dinner after a few crazy days in Vegas. From the atmosphere, to the service, to the food, everything was excellent and I will certainly be back again! To start, we had the burrata, carpaccio, and caesar salad. The carpaccio provided one of the most tasty bites I've had in a while: the thin beef paired with fresh Parmesan, arugula, and capers on a thin and toasty bread cracker was incredible. Caesar was also tasty and perfectly dressed. Can easily feed 2-3 people. For entrees, a friend and I split the house speciality. This osso bucco is the speciality for a reason.... The meat was tender, the bone marrow was delicious, and the pasta complimented the meat perfectly. It was more than enough for two girls to split. The wine list was great with a robust selection of Italian wines. This restaurant has low lighting and was chilly in the air conditioning, so bring a jacket! Parking is available. read more

I almost don't want to say anything about Piero's, as it sometimes attracts unwanted weirdos (myself included) to the establishments but no one actually reads these reviews... right? This has become one of my favorite Italian restaurants in LV. Everything about it, from the hostess at the entrance to the very last bite of dessert. It has the welcoming spirit of an Italian home in Italy and the service of a high end restaurant. The food is just as great. My friend and I had the snow crab claws and calamari to start with then moved on to a salad which was not your basic bland salad, which at this point now I'm thinking wow everything here is delicious! Then our entree was brought out, chicken parmigiana (recommended by another friend). My tastebuds were doing the mambo #5 and my stomach felt loved, needless to say the food here is incredible. As for dessert... I had to take it home as my tummy ran out of room for more yummy goodness. The food paired with a perfect "mobster" like ambiance makes this spot a must go to restaurant when in town. Highly recommend giving this spot a try if your on a hot streak and want to cap off the evening on a high note. Definitely worth it my foodie friends! read more

After a long grind of a trade show, six coworkers and I walked over to Pierre's for some drinks and food before heading back for the pack out. We arrived at precisely 5 o'clock and immediately took our seats at the bar. We were greeted by Ian And Danny who are quick to get our drinks going for us. Our bartenders were absolute stars, friendly, humorous, knowledgeable, and efficient. We all ordered food and enjoyed our well-made drinks and beers. I am always enthusiastic when a restaurant provides great service and Pieros did not disappoint. Runners brought our appetizers and salads to the right people, removed old silver wear and plate wear promptly and efficiently, it just makes a meal so much more satisfactory when the service is on point. I had a half of a garbage Caesar to start and the rigatoni Bolognese. Both were absolutely delicious. Everyone in the party enjoyed their food and we will definitely be back after our next tradeshow at the convention center. read more

Every year we celebrate our Vegasaversary by going to someplace uniquely Vegas. This year we decided to give Pieros a try. Have wanted to come here for years but never made it. Easy to find and valet parking is back so we dropped off the car and headed in. We were greeted promptly and checked in for our reservation. We were a few minutes early and we waited about 5 minutes or so to be seated. Tables are really close together and getting around is a little tricky. We had a nice corner table and took in the sights. It definitely looks like it's been around a while. And that's not a bad thing. It's not like a strip restaurant that's more like a dining hall. It has character and an old school feel to it. We were quickly offered drinks and perused the menu. I decided on the Pats meatballs appetizer and the whole branzino for my meal with the grilled asparagus for my side. My wife had the fried mozzarella for her app and the truffle cream orecchiette as her main. Meatballs were very good. I get meatballs every Italian place I go and these stood up to the challenge. Very tasty in a nice red sauce. The fried mozzarella was very good as well. Sauce was a little thin but good and the cheese was cooked perfectly. The whole branzino is deboned but they serve with the head and tail. It was grilled perfectly and the sauce it comes with was amazing. I dipped each forkful in it before devouring the whole fish. The orecchiette was sooooo yummy. It was light pillows of pasta in the best sauce you could imagine. My wife hates peas but she ate them in this cause they were covered in the sauce! Asparagus was good, cooked perfectly and seasoned with a balsamic sauce that was perfectly balanced. For dessert we had the chocolate pudding and the cannoli. Both were delicious and soon gone. Service was exceptional, we had 2 servers and we never went without water or a drink. We both had old fashioneds to start, then I went with a white wine with my fish while the wife stayed with the bourbon. Was a really good time and much better than I expected.
