We came for lunch on a Tuesday and was surprised how the parking lot was pretty full which was normally a good sign. As soon as you get out of your you are greeted by planter boxes with peppers, basil, cherry tomatoes,tomatoes. It was a nice touch. We were at first seated in their patio but asked to be moved to the main room since there were insects biting outside . Other than that, the patio area has a working fountain with a more casual setup. On to the food. The minestrone soup and bread came out first . The soup had enough flavor but not salty. The bread was fresh out of the oven and was a good match for the oil and vinegar dip. The Margherita Pizza was of decent size that could easily be shared. All the dishes had good flavor. The cioppino had a little spice to it, the pasta was cooked just right. The service was a little slow and not very attentive. We had to flag to fill our drinks, we had to ask for dessert menu which I think would've been something that would be offered seeing we already asked for to go boxes . Let's just say the new location really lacks what the old one had. My husband & I made reservations for a Friday night at around 7:30pm. We got there a couple minutes early expecting to be seated within 10-15 minutes. Mind you, the lobby was full with walk-ins, with more people coming in after us. We watched as every single group got seated before we did, even after being told their wait time was going to be 45min minimum. We waited for over 40 minutes w reservations for outdoor seating. And to top it off, we didn't get seated outside. It was either wait longer, or getting seated inside. Our waiter was the same as the first time we went (only been there 2), and she was amazing the first time. So attentive with such a big smile on her face. However, this recent time we went you can tell she was overwhelmed with the amount of tables she had to be attending too. I felt bad for her. But that's not on her, that's on management for letting her do a whole side of the restaurant by herself with '2 helpers'. The helpers were nice, but they were unorganized. I guess the big punch was that they didn't offer parmeason cheese with my pasta until I had literlly 1 spoonful left. Like seriously? After eating my entire dinner now you want to ask? So disappointed. Overall, the food is still good ofc. I just think it's time for management to get the waiters more help, or make them have less tables in their section. Even though the food was great and our main waiter was checking in on us, my husband & I would not be coming back due to the awful experience of having to wait longer than walk-ins when we had reservations. Super late post! We normally stay home and celebrate mother's day at home. The day before Mother's day (Saturday), my husband decided that he wanted to go for a ride. As we were driving around, we drove past Pietro's and he knows I love pasta. So he made a quick u-turn. I would like to say that was the best decision! This was our first time here! They were packed, but had just one table available in the bar area. Felt super lucky! On this particular day, the menu was family style with a set menu! Not only was the food absolutely amazing, so was the service! We had a lot of leftovers because it was only my hubby and I, that we had 3 carry out bags! Had dinner with my sister who was from out of town last night. I ordered the fresh fish of the day with risotto, my sister had the tortolone with Spinach and ricotta filling with marinara sauce. The meal was delicious and tasty. The wait staff were excellent with Nate and Andrew serving us. The Saviginon Blanc was light and delicious. Made a last-minute reservation here for a friend's birthday and was told over the phone there was a special Mother's Day menu for $75 per person. That was fine, but the menu itself and the details were never really explained to me before booking. About 10 minutes after making the reservation, I talked to the group I was bringing and we agreed the menu really wasn't something we wanted, especially for the price. I immediately called back to cancel since it had only been a few minutes. The employee told me I would still be charged a $25 cancellation fee, which I thought was frustrating but I was willing to accept. Then I checked my card and saw I had actually been charged $150 instead. Charging someone $150 after a reservation was made for only about 10 minutes feels completely unreasonable, especially when the menu and cancellation policy were not clearly explained upfront. What an amazing Italian restaurant. The place was packed is an understatement! Yet we were taken care of promptly and sat quickly. Our waiter was so bubbly and friendly. He gave us our time and had amazing recommendations. The whole menu looks delicious. We all went for something different and none disappointed. Service was on time even with the crazy amount of people there coming and going. The fresh bread was to die for as well as the balasamic and olive oil dip he poured us. We were so full. I had the raviolis with a glass of local Lodi wine that paired amazing. It was a very family feel to the place that was so welcoming. We even crammed some ice cream for dessert that was so good. Title: Disappointing Service at Pietros As a local business owner, I understand how crucial customer service is, and unfortunately, Pietros fell short in this area during my recent visit. The food was, as always, absolutely delicious, and our waiter was fantastic. However, he seemed to struggle with the support of his helper, which left us often waiting for water, bread and drinks. I get it a party of 7 is hard to manage and that's why you have a helper, Oddly, the main waiter was busy but the helper was not busy; he was just hanging out near the water pitchers. At one point, I had to get up to ask for water because he is just standing there like a fixture. Then he comes to our table and he yawns a big yawn and didn't cover his mouth before pouring the glass of water at our table. When our food arrived, we were surprised that no Parmesan or pepper was offered. I had to once again get up and ask for Parmesan, and when I addressed the helper--who I jokingly referred to as "Bieber" to lighten the mood--he snapped back, "That's not my name." I apologized and asked if he could take a family picture for us, but he seemed annoyed and distracted which he took horrible pictures due to his anger. Like guy calling you Bieber was by far a compliment bc you are falling short all around. I guess his name was Brandolyn or Brandon! Then this guy starts stacking clean place setting dishes for 8 next to us at a table for 2. I was like shocked to be seeing him do this especially at a level of Restaurant like Pietros.. If he wanted us to leave, he should have offered to-go boxes, instead of making me get up again and ask a random person. Then Brando or whatever his name is brings little boxes when we have almost a whole pizza and I had almost all my food because filled up on my appetizer. The"outdoor" seating is more like an atrium... quite nice and they still have a fireplace. New addition is a spacious bar area with booth tables to dine at. I placed my order online several days in advance and had to wait for 45 minutes because my order was not ready. When I placed my order in my trunk I've noticed it was not sealed properly so it leaked. All I got from the restaurant was "we are sorry". Editing after trying the food. I always loved lasagna at Pietro's and ordered it several times to dine in and to go. The one I got today was not as good as before. Mostly because it's undercooked. I hope it's just temporary and the service will return to the previous level. Had to edit again after trying fingerling potatoes. They are dry and overcooked. Some of them exploded. Should I start with: The "hostess" yelling hello at me before I fully opened the door. The drinks waiter handing my drink to the person sitting opposite me twice after me telling him it was mine. The wait staff leaving multiple empty glasses on the table and never removing those when picking up plates. The food at Olive Garden being better. The bill for 3 people being over $200 plus "tip". The chicken parmesan being so dry I didn't eat it and the waiter never asking why. I get it, you built this new location. You have at least 50 people walking around in uniforms trying to give good service and failing miserably. I saw the pasta kitchen reheating pasta. Maybe, just maybe you should have stayed put and made good food. Now you have good ambiance with borderline Olive Garden food. I'm sure I'll get blasted for this, but I can remember going to the original opening night about 40 years ago. I've been 100s of times since. My friend and I were searching for a local Italian restaurant that did not require us going to Olive Garden. Came across this gem on Yelp and I must say it was impressive. Spacious parking. They have valet if that's your thing. A beautiful house garden filled with broccoli, dill and much more to walk through. I made a reservation prior being that it was a Friday night and my first time here. We were running a a few min behind but they did emphasize the 15 min grace period. I started off with a virgin Mona Lisa and it was delicious!! Then made our way to the ROSETTA'S ARANCINI (fried risotto ) which was also delicious. These things were massive, I ended up taking the 3rd one home. Also the bread loaf is too good. I was craving pesto but decided to go with the lasagna. If we are being honest, it tasted a little burnt and the excessive cheese was in fact a bit much. I was also searching for more pasta layers. I had high expectations being that this was a house made lasagna. When I come back I will definitely try the pesto sauce. My friend tried the CIOPPINO and demolished it! Lastly we saw a couple next to us order the THE SPUMONI and had to try it. The strawberry ice cream was the best and I'd probably order a tub of it to go if I could. Love love this place it's a gem in Lodi Ca. for being in a rural area this place hits the Mark for Italian food. I've been here three times and I've never had bad service or bad food. The muscles and clams are wonderful. The fettuccine is so tasty and Italian cioppino a.k.a. seafood soup is wonderful. Pizza is great. Third, great menu and service. Fourth, totally delicious. The gf were in town for 3 nights for her work, and I tagged along. We went 2 of the 3 because we liked it that much. The first night we shared a chicken parm and a Caesar salad. Both were so good, the bread baked there PLUS sliced sourdough (my ask) and it was the best I've had in a very long time (courtesy of Ruby's bakery). I have never been here before and everyone I know has raved about this place so I finally got to try it out with my boyfriend for his birthday. The service was definitely the highlight of the night and they were really attentive and noticed I was getting very cold during our dinner. Unfortunately I was less than impressed when it came to the food. Although the restaurant itself is cute and the outdoor ambiance is nice for date night, the food was not to my expectations. I will give it to them that their bread was the star of the show but that's about it. I am not sure if this was an off day and we were just unlucky but all of our dishes were just extremely salty and there wasn't much else flavor. I love risotto and salty food but I just could not come close to finishing it. It was very busy so our server wasn't able to stop often and I'm not necessarily the type to complain as it could usually be just not my taste preference. My boyfriend's parents come here often and usually order the same things but tonight they left unsatisfied compared to their previous visits and insisted it's not usually like this. Came into town very tired last night, just looking for a convenient spot to eat before staying at a local motel. Never expected such a great place. It was packed at 815 on a Monday night. Three chefs hard at work in open kitchen and two bartenders busy at it as well. Outside is lovely with beds of tomatoes and basil growing as you walk in. Place is delightful and staff is friendly and efficient. They are clearly well managed and a well oiled machine. The homemade flatbread, oil and balsamic vinegar is fantastic, and we split a super special wood fired pizza. I saw another half dozen dishes I wanted to jump in the middle of too! My daughter had a cocktail called a Mona Lisa that she said tasted like summertime. We were in and out in 45 minutes, with a bill under $40. The service was genuinely bad--worse than anything I've experienced in quite a while. We ordered drinks and food at the same time. I received my drink, but my wife didn't get hers until she was halfway through her meal. I eventually went to the bar myself to get her a Coke. When the server finally brought it--near the end of her meal--there was no apology. Not once. That was especially disappointing. The restaurant was busy, but it was clearly well-staffed, so this didn't feel like a short-handed situation. For context, I've owned restaurants before, so I tend to notice service flow and attention to detail. As for the food: my wife ordered the chicken piccata, and the sauce beneath the chicken was notably salty. My oxtail ragù was flavorful, but the fresh pasta was a major letdown--gummy and overly chewy. The bread was also not what I remembered; it used to be soft and excellent, but this time it was tough and forgettable. I spoke with a manager before leaving. She took our name but offered little else, saying she wished we had mentioned something before paying and leaving. While polite, it still felt like a missed opportunity. Our evening was already spoiled, and even a small gesture or acknowledgment could have helped--but none came. I'm disappointed to be writing this. I truly hope this was an off night, and I'm willing to give Pietro's one more chance. But this experience--service, food, and management response--was not what it once was, and not what I expected. When my friend; a Midwest native, told me there was a Pietros here ... I was absolutely shocked. There is one in a city I used to live in; that makes amazing pizza, and so I knew we had to check this place out. The exterior is creative with the garden planted right in the front, giving you that home grown quality ingredients vibe. Then once you step inside the interior is one of the more luxurious and quaint feeling out of any I've ever been too. For food we ordered a pepperoni pizza, ravioli with meat sauce, and calamari. By the way their iced tea is fresh brewed. All of the food had great quality flavor and nothing tasted out of a can of reheated. Will for sure be back again when in the area wine tasting. read more

Stopped into Pietro's for lunch with my co workers. We were greeted promptly and the host was very friendly and thorough in regards to asking about any allergies in my party. We ordered the bruschetta for our appetizer and then also enjoyed there very soft and yummy bread with evvo and balsamic that they shared with the table. I decided to order the pork milenesa sandwich, with a salad, which was delicious. My co workers ordered the lasagna and the chicken piccata both with were hearty portions and very yummy. While in Lodi me and my bffs finished off our lovely day wine tasting here and Pietro's. I was thankful we made reservations in advanced because it was very busy, even for a Monday night! The restaurant is beautiful inside and the service was excellent. Our waitress Jessica was amazing and shared with us the specials with ease. When we asked for recommendations I love that she asked what was our typical go to type of Italian meal and was able to make recommendations that each person LOVED. The bread table with the garlic herb butter is definitely a crowd pleaser. We ordered a calamari appetizer and it was delicious--no fishy aftertaste and breaded to perfection Each entree ordered was highly enjoyed and their signature cocktails and mocktails are a must try.
