As usual food is always so good and our server Lily and Luna were attentive, efficient, and friendly. It was my first time in their new location and it was very elegant. However, our pizza was cold. I wish it was served piping hot where the cheese was stringy. Their pizzas are good but i wish they didn't wait to serve our food all at once. The pasta was also warm, not as hot as it should have been. The spumoni ice cream was very delicious. I would have given a 5 star if only our food was served hot.
We enjoyed a nice birthday dinner while visiting Lodi. First time for two of us and 2nd visit for my friend. The place was packed and energetic on a Sat evening, also a huge place with indoor and outdoor patio seating, lively bar and open kitchen. Reminded me of a Cheesecake Factory vibe. Servers were very attentive and friendly, but a bit slow. We loved the calamari starter and focaccia but the bolognese could have had a richer flavor. The corn risotto was a bit watery and not the favorite. They did do a nice note for the birthday with a small tiramisu and a candle.
Our go-to restaurant whenever we're in town. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers exceptional food, excellent value, generous portions, top-notch service, and wonderful ambiance, look no further. This place is hands down the best Italian food in the area. Their pastas are handmade, their pizzas are delicious, the oxtail polenta, and desserts are all so amazing. I recommend making a reservation in advance, as it tends to fill up, especially on weekends. We can't wait to dine here again!
Lodi Ca.~ What an amazing restaurant! Beautiful decor in both the restaurant and the patio area! The food was just as fabulous as the decor. We started out with the deep fried zucchini. Out of this world. The breading was thin and crispy, and the dipping sauce was yummy. We had the catch of the day. It came with risotto that was perfectly seasoned and cheesy. My friend had the Parpadelle. She said it was prepared perfectly, and al dente just like she likes it. We definitely would return for some more spins around the menu. This place is an institution in Lodi. Highly recommend.
My parents were excited to take me to this place, and a trusted friend backed them up, so expectations were high going in. We made a brunch reservation for 11:30am, though we ended up ordering off the regular menu rather than brunch. That was the first odd note of the afternoon. Before the appetizers, they brought out focaccia with herbed butter, a nice alternative to the standard bread basket. The calamari appetizer with marinara and tartar sauce was fine, nothing memorable. My mom's eggplant parmesan arrived warm but not hot and cooled down quickly. The pizzas, a Funghi and a Margherita, were cooked well in the stone oven and were genuinely the best thing on the table, but they arrived warm and cooled down quickly, the same issue as my mom's eggplant parmesan. With the air conditioning blowing directly overhead, hot food didn't really stand a chance. The service is where things unraveled. When we were first seated, the manager came by and helped with my dad's walker, which was a nice touch. After that it went downhill. When my dad asked for something light, the waiter recommended the carbonara, a dish built on guanciale, grana, egg, and black pepper. That's not light by any definition. It's a basic gap in menu knowledge that does the guest a disservice. The menu also had salmon, ricotta toast, and eggs in purgatory. My dad also asked for red pepper flakes to go with his pizza and they took unusually long to arrive, so he had to flag down a different waiter to get them. The waiter noticed I was drinking my Bloody Mary slowly and offered a different version that actually tasted better. If there's a preferred version, lead with it. When I made eye contact to signal we were ready to pay, he acknowledged it but continued socializing with a coworker before finally coming over and taking my card, as if he was surprised we wanted to pay. When a customer is ready, they're ready. He took my card, asked if we wanted dessert, went to grab the dessert menu, then handed it back. Just hold onto the card. I'm paying with the same card regardless. Handing it back makes no sense. The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious, with a full bar, outdoor seating, a small store at the entrance, and a vegetable garden out front. It's a great setting. Dinner service might be a different experience, but on this visit the dining room wasn't particularly full, which made it more noticeable that the staff prioritized socializing over the guests in front of them. For the record, the suggested tip on the receipt started at 18%. On the way out, two hostesses stood by and did nothing while my parents, one of whom was on a walker, made their way to the door on their own. Getting the door is common courtesy for the elderly. Pietro's has the ingredients of a great restaurant. The space is beautiful, the stone oven pizza is genuinely good, and the brunch menu has real potential. But a restaurant is only as good as its execution, and right now the service and the food temperatures are letting the kitchen down. They just need to meet it.
I don't think I've ever written a restaurant review quite like this one. Pietro's has been one of my favorite restaurants for years, but after last night, it genuinely feels a little bit like home. I came in for a date and unfortunately ended up getting stood up. What could have been an incredibly awkward and embarrassing night somehow turned into a night I will never forget -- entirely because of the incredible people at Pietro's. My server, Antoinette, was truly an angel. From the beginning, she was so warm, genuine and kind, and made me feel so cared for. Before I knew it, the entire staff seemed to be checking in on me and making sure I was okay. One of the waiters even quietly took care of my entire meal, and Scott, their sommelier, came over to introduce himself and treated me to a glass of wine. Aaron their GM even came over introduced himself and checked in on me. By the end of the night, I was in tears because I was so overwhelmed by the genuine kindness I was shown. They took what could have been a really embarrassing moment and turned it into one of the sweetest, most memorable nights. I've eaten at countless restaurants and have never experienced this level of genuine care. It went so far beyond good hospitality. They treated me like a friend, and I left feeling incredibly loved with giving hugs all around. Antoinette and the entire Pietro's team: thank you. You have no idea how much last night meant to me. I truly don't think what you did for me would have happened anywhere else.
Loved the atmosphere and the food was a 1000% and the service outstanding. Everyone and everything was fantastic I will definitely be back to try some other items on the menu. Went with friends we had Lasagna, meatballs with a meat sauce and bread to die for. The table focaccia bread and the butter was out of this world. The pizza was very delicious but we couldn't put a dent. Didn't try any cocktails but that will also be next.,
We went to Pietro's the Saturday before Mother's Day and enjoyed their prix fixe menu. We were all so surprised by how much food was included in the meal, and all of it was delicious! The bread, butter, and cheese served before we ordered were sooo good. The butter was especially creamy and flavorful. For starters, we ordered the arancini and verdura. Both tasted freshly fried and were excellent. Next, we had the panzanella salad, and I would absolutely order it again. The mix of olives, bread, fruit, and vegetables was so fresh and delicious. For pasta, we ordered the amatriciana and gnocchi. The amatriciana had a bit of spice, but it wasn't overwhelming and was really good. The gnocchi was prepared tableside in a cheese wheel, which was really fun. As a cheese lover, I appreciated being able to ask for extra. Our mains were the chicken cacciatore and Rudy's Cut 40 oz prime porterhouse. Both were delicious! We were already incredibly stuffed by the time the mains arrived, which were also served with delicious potatoes and green beans. They weren't listed on the menu, so we were pleasantly surprised to receive them. For dessert, I ordered the gelato pie while the rest of my party ordered the tiramisu. Everyone really enjoyed the tiramisu, and I loved my gelato pie. We were completely stuffed, but somehow still found room for dessert! Luckily, we were able to pack up our leftover pasta, potatoes, green beans, steak, and chicken. We all ended up making another meal out of the leftovers the next day. We were so satisfied and pleasantly surprised by how much food was included that we're really hoping they do something similar for Father's Day so we can come back for more!
This is our 2nd time to Pietro's ... another phenomenal meal. My cheese-stuffed spinach tortellini (ripieni on the specials menu) with very garlicky pomodoro sauce was excellent, as were my husband's fungi pizza and the lemon olive oil cake. The plentiful bread/herb butter and our cocktails also rocked. Whenever we travel to Lodi, Pietro's will be on our to-do list.
We really enjoyed Pietro's. The service is really good - they've got multiple people attending to you which was smooth. Food comes out relatively quickly. Everything was soooo good and fresh. The drinks are amazing. We really enjoyed our experience and are already discussing what we'll order the next time we come. Worth every mile driven for Pietro's.
This review is for their Mother's Day service. Shout out to our servers Raul and Lacy? (I think that's her name, but sorry if I'm wrong). For as busy as the restaurant was, they were very attentive to our party. Always making sure we were okay. Trying to make sure our little one was entertained and fed whenever they passed by. You guys were the best! Thank you for all you do!
So, went to the new location for Pietro's recently. It was our anniversary so we wanted something nice, being that we've been here when they were at their old location, we said why not. So much more parking here, which is great, and the place is huge. I had the chicken Parmesan, my wife had the chicken piccata. We had bread and some pesto gnocchi on the side. The gnocchi was amazing...my chicken was good, plenty good size of portion, and my wife said the chicken piccata was ok, nothing to brag about. The atmosphere was nice, the new location is great. My server was good, but I don't think she knew about alcoholic drinks. I asked for a Top Shelf Ling Island, but for some reason they charged me for a vodka and it didn't taste like a Long Island. We were sat outside, and during dinner a cricket jumped on my leg, me wearing shorts, it scared the heck out of me. I killed it and it sat there on the floor. We told our server and she did apologize, but that really affected our dinner. Every wind or movement toward me made me think it might be another bug, not necessarily the restaurants fault, but still. Will we be back...maybe. For the price, we expect top service, we just didn't feel it this time around.
Love the new location, we sat in the patio and it was perfect weather and we loved the vibe. We shared the whipped seasonal ricotta, Cesar Salad and Steak and the chefs seasonal asparagus with prosciutto pizza. Our service was wonderful and our waitress was so lovely.

I have seen Pietro's on social media for awhile now and finally was able to give it a try...... First off, the interior is beautiful!! You have a choice of dining in the main dining room, at the bar, table top in front of the pizza oven or outside. Outside, regardless of the weather is a nice cozy environment with heat lamps and a fireplace. Service was perfect! Our waiter was on it the whole time and the other servers were just as attentive to us by checking in and dropping off refills on our beverages. The bread was fresh, warm and very tasty. They serve it with a wonderful butter that melts right into the bread. We each had the veal dishes...... I had the veal parmesan while hubby had the veal francese. Both were served with spaghetti with red sauce. The sauce tasted fresh, not like they randomly threw some ingredients together like some Italian restaurants. This sauce you could tase the fresh garlic and basil, it alone was very tasty and filling. The veal francese was cooked perfectly; you could taste the fresh garlic and lemon. This time around we were too full to try the dessert but will definitely have to give it a try next time we visit. We will definitely be back and next time will bring friends to introduce them to this wonderful place. read more

I finally had the opportunity to visit the new Lodi location, and was impressed by the larger bar area. The food and service quality have been maintained, with the bread being a notable highlight - it's truly the best in town. We ordered the chicken minestroni soup, bucatini with clams, and seafood ciappino, and were pleased to find that everything met our standards. The Spanish Steps drink and espresso martini were also enjoyable! read more
Christmas Eve dinner with the family and the restaurant / parking lot was packed! I was excited to try some fresh pasta, and ordered the Tagliatelle. The Jimmy's Garden salad with prawns was an excellent item to split with two. The Super Special pizza was floppy and yummy. Mel was our waitress and she was amazing. I was visiting Sacramento and my friends there insisted I try this Italian spot they love -- and I'm so glad I did. The restaurant had this almost European feel to it -- like a high-end Italian restaurant you'd stumble into while traveling abroad. Super cozy, but with a polished, foreign vibe that really set the tone for the night. The service was great -- the staff was attentive, a bit too attentive, but was very helpful. I ordered the Creste de Gallo, and honestly... I still crave it. The flavors were incredible, and the pasta was cooked perfectly -- probably one of the best dishes I've ever had. My friends ordered different dishes, and literally, every single one was delicious and had their own exquisite flavor. You can tell the quality and care that goes into the food here. We were actually coming back from a National Park that day, and it was also a holiday so we were worried about timing -- but thankfully we made it, and it was 100% worth the effort. Prices are on the higher side (around $25-$30+ per dish), they do give the bread as complimentary and you can ask for more, too. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend giving this place a try. It's easily one of the best Italian meals I've had in a long time. read more

Our first time at the new location. It is much bigger and beautifully decorated. We had our usuals, salad, chicken picatta, risotto, and eggplant parm. Everything was delicious. I tried the butterscotch pudding for dessert and it was tasty. The restroom is very clean and the toilet paper is soft. I think they have a few kinks to work out being in their new location but nothing major. Our server Jacob was very nice. read more

Celebrated my birthday here and everything was absolutely delicious. I ordered the veal parmigiana, which was perfectly tender with a rich, flavorful sauce and just the right amount of cheese. The arancini appetizer was a standout - crispy on the outside, creamy and savory inside. I also had the Mona Lisa cocktail, which was beautifully balanced and the perfect birthday drink. Amazing food, great atmosphere, and such a special way to celebrate. I'II definitely be back. The only reason why I am giving it a four star review is bc it took about 20 mins to get our drinks and get our order placed. read more

Service was great and love the ambiance of the restaurant. Food was good and had great flavor but some of our food did come out cold. This place is popping. Make sure you schedule and appointment to get in faster. The food was ridiculous. Make sure the get the homemade bread with garlic butter. Our server was great. He knew the menu and kept the bread coming. It's a nice restaurant with low lighting. Perfect for family or date nights. I got the m&m pizza, chicken Parmesan and ox tail ragu pasta for the group. Everything was fresh and homemade. We will definitely be returning. read more

The food here is top quality and freshest I have ever had in terms of Italian dishes. The services were fast, courteous, and attentive. The ambiance was loud, and has fine dining aesthetics. I highly recommend putting in a reservation in advance, and to be prepared with looking for a parking space as well. Appetizer got the calamari, then for dinner got the raviolis and the oxtail ragu, and finished off with the spumoni. I highly recommend going here with either a partner, family, and/or even friends for one of the highest quality Italian food I've ever tasted. read more
Visited this spot again and they do not disappoint. Madden was our server and he suggested I try the oxtail. Absolutely positively scrumptious!!! The polenta with the aïoli sauce and the fat of the oxtail with the lean meat was magnificent topped with arugula and walnuts. If you have an allergy, make sure to mention no walnuts. We also ordered the chicken parmigiana with a side of fettuccine noodles topped with a white sauce. Madden did a great job making sure we had what we needed and we were grateful. We came for lunch as well and enjoyed the Rosie's pollo fritto sandwich and the Milanese sandwich served with the minestrone soup. read more

I was thinking this was going to be super overrated like half the restaurants in the 209. I was pleasantly surprised and incredibly wrong. The margarita pizza was out of this world. The crust was incredible. Then we had a chef's special ravioli something or other, I actually forgot the menu item. It was melted in your mouth and so flavorful. We came on a very busy day, but still got seated fairly quick. Definitely will return to this spot soon. read more

Service was excellent Cam was a great server! The place is really nice but still a little too packed in with tables. Would be nice to have a couple less tables to give people wiggle room to get out of tables without feeling like you're going to bump people. The food was very good. My lasagna was served HOT and was delicious. Hubby's NY steak was very good, cut like butter and flavorful. I would skip appetizer just to save room for dessert (personally). Pietro's for Mother's Day Review: The Mother's Day menu for 2025 included 2 Antipasti- we picked bruschetta & meatballs 1 Insalata- we picked pietros salad 2 Primis- we picked Amatriciana and Gnocchi 2 Secondi- we picked the gamberoni and bistecca. Overall the food was fantastic as usual and I would recommend coming to Pietro's for a Mother's Day celebration. Service was a bit slower than I am used to and we were in the restaurant for about 2 hours. First bread we were served was lukewarm and the mozzarella was pretty chewy compared to what we have had in the past. We also never received utensils for serving the salad and main dishes like we have received in the past. Little details that we noticed didn't get done when they had a full house of guests. Also timing between menu items were slow. Even with the slow service Pietros is still the best Italian restaurant in our area! The ambiance was very family friendly and had parties of all sizes during our reservation time. read more

My Husband and I had such a great time here! It was packed but we made a reservation and were able to sit down in less than 2 minutes! Our waitress was Taylor; she was so sweet and let us know of all the specials of the day! The food was amazing! it's a really nice atmosphere to be in. I personally loved how they have their own small garden before you walk into the restaurant :,) it's the small details like that. Unfortunately this popular Lodi location will be closing....but guess what- they will be relocating to a beautiful new location. Our wonderful server Jordan says it will have a much larger kitchen that he's very excited about. We were seated on the lovely patio to celebrate my brother's birthday. Jordan surprised us with tasty tiramisu. But first we enjoyed wonderful bread, porchetta dish and my brother had the cioppino. The amazing smells and flavors in this Italian restaurant has made us visit numerous times. This is usually our routine, along with Lodi wine tasting of course. read more

This review is strictly for the yearly Galentine's event held at Pietro's. This is always a fun time! A lot of planning & details go into making this event great which is why attendance is very much desirable. Tickets go on sale on a specific date/time and usually sellout within 15-20 minutes of the tickets going on sale. Let me say, tickets are well worth the price. This year, with the taxes, each ticket was about $129.xx. This includes your meal, unlimited signature drinks or wine, your flower bouquet that you get to hand pick yourself, picture from the Photo Booth, goodies that are placed at your seat. The music is always upbeat, it's an overall great time! This year, my only complaint was that our party got split into 3 tables. Last year, we were a party of 8 and were able to sit together. This year, with the split, each table had a different server so we went through the different phases of having dinner, making our flower bouquet, taking pics at the Photo Booth, etc at different times. Each table was limited to 2 hours, whereas in previous years, there wasn't a time limit set. I get they limited the time to sell more tickets but we still want to be able to sit with our party and being split up was not as fun. All in all, we still enjoyed our time. read more

I visited a local winery in the area, and the staff there recommended this restaurant I'm so glad they did. They start you off with incredible homemade white firewood-baked bread served with garlic butter, and it was so good. Next, I tried the chicken parmesan, which came with a side of green beans and pasta. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted fabulous. Lastly, I had the oxtail with polenta, and it was out of this world. The meat was incredibly tender and juicy with layers of unbelievable flavor. If you like your food perfectly seasoned and cooked, you need to try this place. The service was amazing--every staff member was kind and friendly--and the ambiance was absolutely beautiful and spotless. Highly recommend! read more

Super late post! We normally stay home and celebrate mother's day at home. The day before Mother's day (Saturday), my husband decided that he wanted to go for a ride. As we were driving around, we drove past Pietro's and he knows I love pasta. So he made a quick u-turn. I would like to say that was the best decision! This was our first time here! They were packed, but had just one table available in the bar area. Felt super lucky! On this particular day, the menu was family style with a set menu! Not only was the food absolutely amazing, so was the service! We had a lot of leftovers because it was only my hubby and I, that we had 3 carry out bags! I highly recommend this restaurant Please note, it's not always family style, only on special occasions. I've been back twice now , and will be back many more times! GOLD read more

Yes! According to their website, they're open Monday-Sunday from 11am to 9pm

Unfortunately they do not allow pets in the outdoor area. Hopefully they will at the new location they're building in Lodi.

Yes, they have a very good pesto dish! Everything they make is so delicious! I highly recommend. We go every other week at least, and they never disappoint.
Why why why can't I place an order Togo on the phone:(?
Have you tried recently? I see many take out orders all the time. In fact, my family and I made a Togo order.

I don't believe there is but just double check by calling but this place is great 1000% !!you won't regret it
