    Crab stuffed mushrooms
    Jamie M.

My husband and I stayed at Pikes Place hotel next door and ended up having 2 lunches and a dinner here. We had 3 different servers and they were all very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! I ended up getting the stuffed mushrooms twice because I kept thinking about them. The view of the river and the sunset from the window is beautiful.

All sampler with stuffed mushrooms, steak and prawns. Yum!

We spent a decent amount of time here on our trip to Fairbanks because we were staying at Pikes Lodge. Every single time we were in we were treated like friends - everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The vibe is chill and the view is great. Combined with the food and service, this place is one for the books. Throughout our stay we had the mozzarella sticks, the app sampler, and various drinks. Everything was better than expected and always hit the spot. The stuffed mushrooms are absolutely not to be missed. Pikes Landing and the people who work there are worth the visit and I genuinely hope to visit again soon. Thank you!

Nice atmosphere and a nice upscale hotel in the area. We've been there after they had a kitchen fire so they had a very limited menu that was mostly deep fried foods in a couple soups. I'd be interested in going back when they have their full menu again I would note that everything is fairly expensive but that's what you get in a lot of Alaska.

Ragin Cagin' Pasta and their Berry Blast Vodka

The three-star rating is pretty accurate, but the service was five-stars, so bumping it up a star. Our server was attentive, checked in with us, and had our food out in a timely manner. We got their signature vodka-infused berry cocktail for $15 and it was huge; a giant martini glass filled with ice, fruit juice and berries soaked in vodka. Worth it. Food-wise, I got the Ragin' Cajun pasta which wasn't all that ragin' in terms of spice level. I was expecting more of a spicy tomato sauce, but ended up with quite a cheesy sauce with reindeer sausage, plump pieces of shrimp, chicken, and some hot Italian and Andouillle sausage. Not bad in terms of spice, but maybe just something to be aware of if you're sensitive to dairy. The two slices of bread were very good. Overall, pricy for what it is, but it was conveniently located next to our hotel, has a reindeer ranch next door, and a viewing deck of the Chena River and Love Alaska sign. I'd come back for that cocktail alone. Update: Just saw they had a fire last Friday. They are still open, but will be located inside of Pike's Waterfront Lodge. Estimated date of re-opening the restaurant in its original location will be repaired will be hopefully by the summer!

Food was great! We had fish and chips, the stuffed mushrooms, and I had a side salad. It all came out quickly and tasted great. Our only issue was the server. She seemed "put out" that we had arrived at 9 o'clock. We stood at the door until she finally said pick any seat. We quickly looked to see if they were ready to close, but they didn't close till 10 PM. Another server started to vacuum next to us and roll up the rugs. We weren't the only ones that came in at nine. There were people who came in at 9:30. I'm not sure what the issue was but she served our food and she only came by once and then again when she brought the bill. She stood there waiting while I looked over the bill and figured the tip. I'm not sure if she was mad because we shared the appetizer and one entree, but honestly we order that way every place we go now and have never had a problem anywhere else.

Chicken mushroom pasta in a watery sauce.

I ordered an Unsweet tea. They brought me a sweet tea. When I pointed it out he said sorry, his manager was messing with him. Staff talking about fishing, cursing, f word among others could clearly be heard multiple times. "I would rather be f'ing fishing all summer than here." One said You're out of your GD mind." Staff singing in silly voices along with different songs. Four staff in room with 2 tables plus outside area. Truly unprofessional - not many customers at 5:15 pm. Salad was great and full of vegetables. Chicken in creamy pasta was good. Had 3 bay leaf's (4 pieces as one was on two pieces) actually in the sauce. Sauce was good but watery. Wasn't great. Wasn't horrible. Overall unprofessional and not recommended.

I was really surprised at how the Yelp and Google reviews differed. Yelp is significantly lower. We ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms, prawns with mashed potatoes, fish and chips, and the big berry blast. The total came out to around $120. So it is pricy. The server was a very nice. The food came out quickly and was hot. It was alright in terms of taste and it was large portions. The big berry blast ($15) really was big. I saw it and felt instant regret because I'd be drinking it alone. However it was very fruity and not strong at all. I finished the whole glass myself and didn't feel a buzz. The big pros of Pike's Landing are the location (for those staying at the Lodge or grabbing a bite to eat near the airport) and the hours. The kitchen is open until 10pm! Since summer 2024 they also have live reindeer. As someone put it, you can eat a reindeer burger while watching reindeer... It's a great option if you're staying at Pike's Waterfront Lodge and want American food.

Had the stuffed mushrooms, fish and chips. The waiter was very nice, but the restaurant looked to have been short-staffed. The stuffed mushrooms were a bit on the salty side and that may have been from the Parmesan cheese. The fish and chips were crispy and pretty good. It's a laid back atmosphere, considering it was midden and cold as snot, but there are multiple tv screens where you can view the reindeers they have outside. The restaurant isn't bad when you don't feel like driving if you're staying at the Pike's Waterfront lodge which is right next door.

This place is okay. There's no any other restaurants near the hotel we're in so we came here to have dinner. They have a bar and dining table area. You can choose any table where you wanna sit without waiting for anyone to assign your table. We ordered the Halibut chowder and Copper river Salmon. The chowder was oily and very creamy which overpowered the taste of seafood ingredient/s, I didn't taste seafood in it. I was looking forward for salmon, but when I tried - it was okay. It wasn't tasty and I couldn't taste the freshness of the fish. It lacked flavor, I had to put some salt and pepper for me to enjoy it. I loved the broccoli, lemon and rice that came with it. Also, the server was nice and helpful.

The people there are so nice and friendly, they were very kind to us when we came in. I got a cheeseburger 10/10 probably best cheeseburger I had in Alaska. I wasn't too adventurous here, didn't try any seafood but it looked very yummy. Ambiance is great, very homey place. Chocolate cake was very delicious, decadent, quality cake. :)

Visited this place last year and can thoroughly say I had a great experience. The food was very yummy and the waiter was fantastic she filled our drinks so many times lol. The vibes were nice. I genuinely have no complaints. Before we left Fairbanks they let us eat lunch as soon as soon as they opened and also kept our luggage up front for us.

The only reason we dined at Pike's Landing is because it was the only restaurant near our hotel (Pike's Waterfront Lodge). Based on the reviews I would not have been a choice. The sign said seat yourself, problem is they had two sections closed off and tables that needed to be cleaned. So we waited about 10 mins for a table to be cleaned. When we were seated, service wasn't very quick either. We waited some time for our waiter to bring us water. When he did, we ordered right away and our food came quickly. Hubby and I shared a burger and fries. The hamburger was dry and kinda tough. Not a place I'd go to again for a burger. Fries were average. We had a decent view of the river but after all our adventures in Alaska, it wasn't spectacular. Unless you are staying at the hotel, I wouldn't suggest eating here.

    "Prawn and scallop" fettuccine Alfredo
    Nelson M.

Summary: Limited option around the Princess hotel lead us to explore further. The bar and grill type restaurant has plenty of seats but the food is average at best; however based on other reviews this is better than what you can get at the restaurants at the Princess hotel Service: Average it was quite busy so it took a while to take our orders. Water was topped off frequently Food: Average. My salmon which had a premium price was over cooked. There was also a lot of bones that I had to pick out. The rice was bland without any seasoning. Other items tried was the prawn and scallops fettuccine. The prawns were small shrimp which was disappointing. The fish and chips was delicious as the fish was fresh and had a natural sweet taste to the halibut Ambiance: Bar type scene with plenty of tables inside. When it is warmer the outside seating faces the river and the I love Alaska sign Tips (what I wish I knew before): They have kids menu. Order the fish and chips but skip the bony salmon. You do not need a reservation, it was seat yourself. I had called a few weeks before for a reservation that wasn't needed.

My husband had a normal breakfast sandwich, and I had a gluten-free one. We were comparing the textures and consistencies, and they looked pretty close.
