If you're not into the self service thing, you probably should avoid this place, but if you don't mind a little of your own self service (I personally find this as a positive), everything about this place is amazing! The food is incredible! You might have to wait in line, but don't let that stop you. You wait in line, place your order (kinda like a sandwich shop) then get your drinks and go sit down and wait for your food. If it's busy and there is a line, please do as their signs request and do not go "save a table" but rather wait until you place your food order. You WILL get a table. Just be patient and trust their process. If people start jumping ahead to save their table ahead of ordering, that only disrupts the flow and creates problems. We had the Reggie's deluxe and the Moneyball...both out of this world! But so many things looked awesome, we will be going back. If you truly value great homemade food and great drinks, look no further. This is the best of the best. read more

I don't really give bad reviews but everything about this place wasn't good to me. Went with a few friends who were visiting biscuit and gravy lovers from the Midwest. Service was ok at best and when the food arrived everything was cold including the gravy. Usually I would think the gravy should be warm to hot? Additionally it was covered in some spice that really didn't sit well, paprika? Highly overpriced with less than desirable taste equals a no return for me. I was commenting to my wife the other day that Reno doesn't have a biscuit destination. Well what would you know, one of my favorite stops in PDX made its way to Reno! The plain biscuits are incredible. I could sit here and eat them with butter and jam all day long! And being someone from the south where biscuits reign supreme at breakfast time, these are fantastic! The sausage gravy could be better but try the mushroom gravy because it's awesome. Sadly, wasn't blown away by the food. They didn't have one of the specials listed, so I ended up with a spicy Reggie with combo gravy (50/50 mix of sausage & brown gravy). The Texas Pete's overpowered anything else. My sister had the shrimp and grits, which surprisingly was a bit on the bland side. Mom had the Hash Up with chicken...decidedly the best thing we had at the table. Also snagged a piece of the chocolate pumpkin pie with candied pumpkin seeds...decent flavor but could do with less chocolate and more pumpkin (I know, LESS chocolate?? Trust me!). Lady at the counter was SUPER awesome although she did screw up our order just a tad but crazy friendly and engaging, as was the gentleman that came out to check on everyone in the dining room. However, the girls chatting at the To Go pick up were not so much. Definitely not high on my list of recommendations. read more

We had been to the Pine State Biscuits in Portland last year so when I heard that they were opening in Reno I was very excited! I am happy to say that the Reno location is just as good! We went on the day of their grand opening and had a wait of about 20 minutes or so which was still less than our wait at the PDX location. We went back a couple weeks later and there was no wait! I always get the Reggie Deluxe which has been excellent every time. We also tried their Smores pop tart which blows the ones you get at the supermarket out of the water. They always have really good coffee on tap and I was even lucky enough to score a free 1/4 lb bag during their grand opening. Definitely adding PSB to our breakfast restaurant rotation! read more

Reggie Deluxe is the only item they need to sell. Everyone who orders something different in our group has regretted not just going with the staple. It's heavy and you'll want a nap afterwards, but it's way worth the gravy coma. Cinnamon roll is also really good... total different taste than you've ever had in a cinnamon roll. The food here is full of flavor and authentic, and the prices were better than I expected. The Reggie is my favorite, and the biscuits are so buttery and cooked to perfection! I had my child with me who (while being absolutely cute) was being slightly bothersome and messy. All of the staff were above and beyond friendly and attentive with an overall very welcoming demeanor. The premises were clean and looked nice. A great place for breakfast. Personally I like to order the build your own biscuit and add my own ingredients to it, however the pricing is on the high side. Regardless, if you'd like to splurge a little more than usual on a good breakfast i would recommend it. It's located downtown and has big glass windows to look out onto the street which is very lovely. read more

Staying in Reno for work. We went here and it was amazing. The service was great and the food excellent. I got the veggie Reggie deluxe, my coworker made his own biscuit and we split a blueberry cornmeal pancake and a sticky bun. The Reggie was very tasty; the mushroom gravy good, the veggie bacon was my favorite brand: Morningstar Farms, but the texture of it was than ideal but it was also buried under the egg, gravy, etc, so at least the flavor was good. The pancake was delicious but the sticky bun was too die for. A super rich, buttery caramel with the perfect amount of salt on top. So good I brought the leftovers back to the hotel for munching on later. The coffee was good too. I will definitely come here again the next time I'm in town. read more

I was pretty annoyed first walking in as I felt there was no room to wait in line as the door only opens inward, so you're constantly in someone's way, but don't want to lose your place in the long line after working so dang hard to find non existent parking. Service is always super friendly, even with the out-the-door wait. Biscuits are crazy good, and sandwiches are the perfect mix of classic and new. Try as best you can to eat your food as soon as it comes out! Fluffy biscuits can turn to soggy biscuits if you wait too long. Only complaint for this place is that they close at 3pm. read more

Wow. Their shrimp and grits are tasty. Love that they're not cheese grits. The portion of the sauce/gravy is a bit light so you end up with about half of the grits left over. But it's plenty for one serving. Their fried green tomatoes are disappointing. Bland and the sauce is blech. I've had the Reggie also and the biscuits are great. The chicken patty is average. Cooked well but the coating is so bland! It tastes like straight flour. Oh my goodness. I almost forgot to mention but their hashbrowns with toppings are best in town!!! read more
