This is third Pings Bistro we have been to. Pings Bistro Warm Springs is located in an off the beaten path shopping center a 1/2 mile from the 168 Market. The menu is smaller than the other Fremont store and serves Szechuan and Yunnan specialties. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior decor is simplistic and has a separate private room that hold two large table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the following dishes: Organic cauliflower with pork cracklings $24 4.5 stars Yunnan rice noodles $20 large portions full flavored " best Yunnan rice noodles " 5 stars Stir- fried Minced pork & Chili Peppers and Yunnan pickles 5 stars $16 Yunnan style spicy sour Papaya snake head fish fillet soup $43 wow ! 5 stars Sautéed Chayote Leaves with dried Chili Peppers $23 4 stars Osmanthus Honey Milk Jelly with Fermented Rice $8 dessert 5 stars A $15 service fee is added to all checks. Service is excellent. Plenty of parking in the shopping center $174.37

All food we ordered were delicious. The service was amazing. The waitresses made sure we got what we ordered. The food came not too long or too fast. The place got crowded pretty fast. But it was not too loud.

TLDR: Spicy Place. Very Traditional Chinese. I think if you like spicy Chinese food, this place would probably be 5 stars. As my wife and I can't really handle spiciness, we are unable to appreciate the quality and flavor of the spice. But that being said, she really enjoyed the non-spicy dish that she ordered. It's a cabbage and pork dish, which could be ordered non-spicy. It was full of flavor, salty, a bit of oil, and some umami in there as well. I don't like vegetables (I just eat it for my butt's sake), and I couldn't stop myself from eating it. We tried to order a rice noodle dish (Mifen) with minimal minimal spice. I could handle it, but my wife couldn't. I'm man enough to admit... I coughed a bit... and drank a LOT of water. What my wife could taste of the dish, she thought the noodles were cooked very well. Al-Dente. I managed to finish the rest of it, mostly by picking out all the red seeds I could and downing half the water. Oh, btw, I should mention... the Menu is online. And completely in Chinese. So... if you can't read chinese, make sure to bring someone who likes spicy and can. Wait staff was pretty friendly as well. Although they did give us our bill a bit early because they were going on their lunch break. We didn't really go that late... maybe 1:15 or so. It was pretty empty by the time we went, maybe 4 tables or so? Also... if you download their app and make a comment or something, you get a free tamarind sparking water. It was pretty good to douse the FIRE in my mouth. Will we go back? Unfortunately no, but not because of the quality or service or anything. It's just not our kinda cuisine, so there were limited options for non-spicy.

I heard this restaurant is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Bay Area, so I definitely needed to check it out. The owner opened two Ping's bistro stores in Fremont, and we went to the newer one that just released some new dishes featuring Yun Nan cuisine. Everything was fantastic tbh, great flavors, different layers of textures, and very friendly service. My favorite dish was sautéed lotus rootlet, and it's my first time having lotus rootlet. I really liked the texture. It's much crispier than the regular lotus root slice's texture. With a little bit spicy flavor, I couldn't stop eating it!

Have been here twice, both times the food was excellent. This place serves authentic Chinese that tastes just as good as the real deal in China. I noticed the menu has changed slightly as well which is good so that there are new dishes to try. Some dishes I recommend: Braised pork belly with blaze mushroom. Very tender pork belly and went well with mushroom, very flavorful. Sauteed eggplant with string beans: tasted soooo good, didn't expect a vegetable dish to be so delicious, very flavorful too Shredded cabbage with pork: Stew rice with ham sausage seasonal greens: it's a big pot of rice to share, a bit pricey but delicious. The rice was a little crusted too Minced pork with chives stir fry: didn't see this dish the second time but the fresh taste of the chives went well with pork Basically almost everything tasted very delicious and will come back! Service was good too, expect a wait (but it's worth it)

We came on Chinese New Year Eve and were worried about the wait time. Surprisingly, the wait was only 15 min. I love their wide selection of Yunnan food. The portion is generous. The food is towards the spicy side and unfortunately they don't allow adjustment of spicy level for Yunnan dishes. They also had a special menu for Chinese New Year. Food ordering is via QR code, which makes it faster.

The service was quick and attentive, and the restaurant itself was nicely decorated. The best thing we ordered was the Sizzling Yellow Croaker with Fried Garlics (9/10). The fish was super crispy, and the sweet, garlicky skin was incredibly addictive. I would 100% order this every time I come back. We also had the Shredded Cabbage with Sliced Pork (8/10), which was nice and tangy. The cabbage soaked up all the sauce, making every bite packed with flavor, while the pork provided a great contrast to the vegetables. The House Special Fried Rice with Pickle & Beef (7/10) wasn't anything extraordinary, but it served as a great base alongside the other dishes. The pickles were an interesting addition, as I've never had fried rice prepared that way before, but I definitely enjoyed it. Finally, we decided to try the House Special Spicy Frog in Stone Pot (6.5/10) since most of us had never had frog before. The flavor was outstanding, with a great umami depth and just the right amount of spice. The frog itself was a little difficult to eat because of the large number of bones, but the meat was tender and juicy. Replacing the frog with another protein probably would have made it more favorable, but I still enjoyed trying something new and didn't regret ordering it. Overall, Ping's Bistro is a great spot for outstanding Chinese food. Every dish we tried was enjoyable, and there are still so many items on the menu I'd love to come back and explore. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality and flavor make up for it. I'll definitely be back.

If I were to sum up my meal in one word, I can do it easily: salty. Every dish I've tried today was…read moreincredibly salty. Though I prefer my food a little bit more flavorful, Ping's Bistro really shot every single flavor up. The Steamed pork belly with preserved vegetables was served first, and without a doubt, is one of the spiciest. It's a good size for sharing, but the preserved vegetables on the bottom was mushy and came in a very small portion. Though supposed to be a part of the dish, seemed to be thrown in just for some extra flavor. Though I selected mild spiciness for the Spicy Boiled Fish, it was still REALLY spicy. Maybe it's my spice intolerance, but this dish lights a fire in your mouth. Also, this dish is mala, so it numbs your mouth. Some people may enjoy this sensation, but it's a pass for me. The fish was really soft and tender though. The fish was my favorite part of the Spicy Boiled Fish. Not only there is fish underneath, it was surprising to see other ingredients like lotus, vermicelli noodles, and much more. The salted egg covered pork was extremely salty and oily. I was surprised to know it was boneless, and I felt like the salted egg crust is too thin, which let the taste of the pork overthrow any type of salted egg taste. The Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus was again one of my preferred dishes, though it was extremely oily. I really liked the egg, black fungus, and bell peppers in this dish. The eggs and black fungus were soaked with flavor and the bell peppers balanced out the heaviness. The pork was also alright, but more on the tougher side. If you were to come to Ping's Bistro, I would advise you to order the Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus. The floors were really sticky, but other than that, everything was alright. The water was poured messily, but I guess it's no big thing. The staff were really quiet and avoided interaction. When they serve your dish, they never wait an extra second before they leave for any questions or requests. They just drop the dish and zoom away. From my review, just remember: saltiness. I'm not convinced that I'll come back again, but I'm glad I tried it out.

When you enter and get seated, you will be prompted to go on the url code at the table to pick your items. While I understand that this is the new way for restaurants to serve guests post-covid, the vast menu items you have to scroll through makes me long for physical menus of the past - but that's just my boomer take for the day. There were a bunch of other items like rice and noodle dishes that looked interesting to pair with the meats, but we were only craving bbq so we skipped out on the carbs. We ordered a BUNCH of skewers, from the standard beef, lamb, pork belly to chicken skin and a fried quail. All of the skewers had the same type of dried chili powder spice seasoning mix so unfortunately there wasn't too much of a diversity in flavor profile but on the flip side, it allowed us to focus more on enjoying the meat quality itself (this is where rice or noodles would definitely help cut through the richness). All of the meats were incredibly well-cooked and charred. It is on the drier side, so be aware if you are looking for a juicier, plumper cut of meat that some other restaurants have. Paired with the Chinese vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil, they were super delectable. My personal favorites were the pork belly, chicken skin, and beef. We had some leftovers to go and the staff provided us some extra sauce to go so that's a big plus. Great food here and definitely will be back to try more of the other menu items for the full experience.

We started with the One Piece Mixed Salad (tofu skin, vermicelli noodles, woodear mushrooms, carrots, celery, seaweed, and peanuts, all mixed in a savory, acidic, and spicy dressed ) and the Shredded Potato Salad, both of which made for nice appetizers. We also had the Cold Skin Noodles (Liangpi), a bowl of wide, chewy noodles mixed with a savory sauce and topped with tofu puffs, shredded cucumber , bean sprouts, and a creamy sesame sauce. Hailing from Xi'an, the Braised Pork Pita Burger was fatty pieces of pork braised in a savory sauce, served in a dry round of "pita," but even better was the Spicy Cumin Lamb Pita Burger, which contained a tantalizingly spicy, flavorful filling of tender spiced lamb. The Signature Beef Bone Noodle Soup came with noodles in a simple broth, topped with three bone-in beef ribs. The meat on the ribs was rather tough and sinewy, and the soup on the bland side, but the presentation of the dish was definitely impressive. Finally, the House Special Braised Dry Noodle was a bowl of noodles topped with a savory sauce with lots of different dried ingredients including tofu, s mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and red bell peppers. For each noodle dish, you could select from a variety of noodles, but my favorite by far was the 2cm "General Wide" noodles, which had an amazing chewy texture. Overall, this was a great restaurant for authentic Northern Chinese noodle dishes and other eats. Everything came out from the kitchen in just minutes after we ordered. There seems to have some menu change since the last time we came. We ordered 2 dry noodles and a cold spicy pig ears appetizer. I love the el dente texture of the noodles giving it a bit of chew. My braised pork belly dry noodles was not dry... very watery which was not to my liking. I want my dry noodles with as little gravy as possible. The flavor was light despite all the gravy, but the veggies and one egg made it up. The house special dry noodles had just the right amount of gravy for taste but not enough ingredients. I was wondering why the restaurant is called One Piece... I guess the entire bowl of noodles is one piece noodle as it was hard to eat as all the noodles are tangled. No complaints here just need to be careful with the splashes on your shirt. Overall the food was good, service was decent as we were offered actual menu instead of only using QR code to order. The place was not small with plenty of table. A bit noise as with all Chinese restaurants.
