Pink Elephant seemingly puts a twist on Thai food.. and really that's not true. They offer the same basic Thai dishes you're used to at most places, made exactly the same way. What they offer is a simplified menu and short menu that allows customers to try Thai without flipping thru all the dished they'll never try. I got the Chicken Pad Thai here and it was good. Notihng crazy but still good Pad Thai. I like the presentation as well, and it was good to see some finesse in a to-go order. This place has really good food. I moved to Canoga park and didn't know of a good thai place. luckily, I found this one on yelp. My fav is chicken pad Thai along with beef fried rice. They accept debit/credit cards which is a plus. The dining area is clean and the tables are nice. I feel comfortable eating here. read more

After recently moving to the area, I was really hopeful about this place being my go-to lunch delivery place, but I was disappointed. They had a pic of mango rice (one of my favs!), but it wasn't on the menu- a bit annoying. I ordered pad-tai noodles with chicken, yellow curry, and a shrimp dumpling soup. The food came within an hour, and the delivery boy was very sweet. The food was just so... mediocre. I took one bite of the pad-tai and didn't take another. It wasn't bad, by why fill myself up with something that was so "meh" tasting? I paid extra money for shrimp in the soup, and there were 3. Three shrimps! C'mon now! That's so cheap and tacky. It was also so oily. The yellow curry was ok, I liked the spice...but again it wasn't great. *sigh* one day I'll find my lunch place. read more

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in the whole LA area! It's a cute little sit down place (very popular during lunch hours) that serves authentic Thai food! All their noodle and rice dishes are delicious, especially the crab fried rice. I also recommend their curry dishes (very light and healthy) and what's even better is that they give you the option of having brown rice instead of white rice for no additional cost! As far as appetizers, I've tried their eggrolls & tempura. I would choose the tempura over the eggrolls because of the variety and the dipping sauce. 1.20.2012 Update Somewhat awkward and somewhat professional -- the owner just called to let me know she read my Yelp review and continuously apologized for the behavior of her delivery man. Per our conversation, he is no longer working with them. Additionally, with regard to the deliver charge -- they have updated their website so that it's "Free Delivery: $15 minimum order within 3 mile radius." That's great news, but I was still a bit reluctant to order from them again. My boss decided to give them another try and we did. We didn't get charged a delivery fee, and we got a 20% discount on food, which was nice. The owner even included an order of crab wontons. This place has gone downhill since it was bought out by other people. Today I got the crab noodles which is basically Pad Thai with Crab. It cost me about $10. The dish had the consistency of mush. The noodles were overcooked and there was too much water. There was no crab whatsoever in this dish. This is unfortunate because I used to go all the time and get the crab fried rice. read more

I lived in Woodland Hills for a few years after living in Thailand, and this place has the closest thing to authentic pad thai that I've been able to find in the states. Their steamed edamame is also fabulous. I'd rate other dishes from this place, but I only ever ordered the pad thai because it was just that perfect. read more

If you're looking for fast and reasonably priced Thai Food this is your place. They give you large portions and always have our food ready within 10 minutes of ordering. The food always tastes fresh. They also have great customer service which I really value. These are the reasons why I gave this location 5 stars. This is my favorite Thai restaurant for getting something quick and saving some money. My fiance and I go to another Thai restaurant and spend $60 on 4 dishes so we have leftovers. Here I get 4 dishes for around $35 and the food is ready much faster. I'm a bit of a Thai food snob so I'll be very honest about their foods. I prefer this Thai Restaurant for their noodle dishes and their Panang curry. Their yellow and green curry are just ok and in my opinion are lacking in spices. Their noodle dishes more than makeup for this. Food Recommendations: Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Drunken Noodles, and Panang. Avoid: The orange chicken is very weird. We ordered it once and were very confused. I'm a big food connoisseur so I gave it a shot and was really grossed out. It's pretty good Thai food for the price in the Valley! We got thai iced tea, drunken noodles, pineapple fried rice, and beef salad. Everything tasted good, but it was too spicy for us! We asked for 2 or a 3, and they gave us a 3 level...which was too much for our tolerance. So next time, we will ask for a 1 to see. Parking wasn't too bad on this day, but it's not as crowded really. I LOVE this place. Lately I've been on a big chicken pad thai kick and this place has become a frequent destination for my tummy. My coworker took me for the first time a few weeks ago - and i was little sketched out because we entered from the back (which im sure you're not supposed to do)...but once I got into the main room, I was impressed. It's got a fun sort of vibe. Another reviewer said it reminded her of a yogurt place which I agree with - except I kind of like it. It's fresh and funky. I get down. The service is slowwww - and they aren't very attentive. My roommate called in a delivery a couple nights ago and trying to keep the lady on the phones attention was a struggle - then it took an hour for our food to arrive and we live a couple blocks away. frustrating! The food is great though. It could stand to be a bit more 'saucey' but the flavors are there. Excellent food for decent prices. I can't wait to try the drunken noodles! read more

This place was mediocre. I was expecting more based on the Yelp reviews I read. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai. There was nothing special about it. Flavor was ok, not too sweet. I also ordered a large Thai Iced Tea, which was watered-down and tasted blah. I ordered take-out and they gave me a cheap flimsy plastic fork that could barely pick up the noodles in my Pad Thai. We got the drunken noodles, pineapple fried rice, tom kha gai, and green curry chicken. It was ok. Everything tasted a little bland, but the food was fresh and not too greasy. I have yet to find a good Thai place on this side of the valley and will continue to make the drive all the way to Granada hills for our beloved Sweet Basil. Well, I read some really good reviews on here, and I had driven by before and the place looked cute. So I ventured and made an order for delivery last night online. The delivery said it would arrive between 45 and 60min. 70 minutes later, I gave the restaurant a call to see if they had received my order... They were polite and apologetic and assured me the delivery driver was leaving as we spoke. Fine fine, I'm not one to get upset on the phone, we're all just trying to get by, especially at work.. but... our food didn't arrive until an hour and a half after I had ordered it. When we opened up the order.. I was seriously disappointed with the quality of the food. The orange chicken was more like "honey" chicken and the batter was soggy-- so gross. The spicy eggplant was mediocre at best. The portions are small compared to other thai restaurants. The pad thai was tasteless and dry. The springrolls weren't crispy and tasted like nothing. I ordered the spicy eggplant with chicken and brown rice. At first I was disappointed because I was expecting something more like a stew but after I took a bite all that disappointment disappeared. The people here are super friendly. Love them. The food is pretty good as well. Nothing i can compare with food I've had from Thailand of course but hey, we're in the valley don't expect much. They have really good prices. I like their drunken noodles, pad se ew, and chicken larb salad. Just go on their website and look at their menu before you order. Pink Elephant is great for when you don't want to get out of the house. I would recommend doing delivery with them cause their parking isn't great especially if you go at busy hours. I personally can't decide whether or not i like this place or Little Siam a little further down more. They also deliver but they cost a buck or two more. This was a pleasant surprise. Went here on a Saturday night because I wasn't feeling PF Chang's but wanted some Asian food. But wasn't sure if I wanted to eat here since there was only one table of patrons. The sidewalk leading to the restaurant was kinda dark and felt somewhat sketchy. But decided to order anyways based on Yelp reviewers and we were pretty hungry. The place is well-lit, clean and the service was friendly. The price was a shocker since most dishes were $6. We ordered spicy fried rice (good), the drunken noodles were also good (had more kick than the spicy fried rice) and spicy chicken wings which was their special of the night. The wings were good and was $5 for 6 pieces with soda and fried rice. The included fried rice was ok. We also ordered the shrimp tempura udon - disappointed though. The shrimp tempura looked like the type you buy at Trader Joes and the noodle tasted very instant - but then again, probably my fault for ordering a Japanese dish when their strength and menu was Thai. If this was close to my house, I'd go more often, but if I'm in Canoga Park area again, I probably will return. read more

Pink Elephant leaves a little to be desired: that is, better parking and better decor. However, the food is good, and all the workers are super friendly. I'm a fan of the tom kah soup (I think that's the name of the coconut soup)--so good!--and the pad thai. The curries are good, as well. Also, everything is pretty affordable with large portions (however, don't get the panang salmon--that was such a mistake, it was the saddest, measly piece of salmon I have ever seen). I also really like that, unlike many other thai restaurants, they have a soda fountain! The food is solid and I would suggest trying it if you want to have a nice, filling dinner (with leftovers) for 20 bucks. :) However, boo for not being open on Sundays! read more

I work in Canoga Park and I LOVE this place for a few different reasons: 1. They deliver, free with a $15 minimum purchase 2. It's cheap, and more importantly, DELICIOUS (Chicken or Tofu Pad Thai) 3. When you order $20 or more they throw in an order of gyoza or dumplings, which are amazing! The one time I went in, because they don't deliver between 3-5, they were super friendly and it looked super clean. Excellent value. I go here all the time for lunch. Usually, I call ahead of time and just take it to go. I usually get the drunken noodle, fried rice, or pad see ew. Every dish is about $6-$7. There is street parking but I also discovered that you can park in the back through the alley for free. You have to walk through the kitchen which is a bit awkward but they are totally fine with it. I think that walking through the kitchen also made me a feel like they are a clean restaurant. I think the place is family run. It does get crowded sometimes at lunch but you order at the counter, pay and then find a table so it's rather quick since there is no wait service. read more

A lot of my friends like coming here for fast take out thai food. How come they aren't quick when I come? I tried to call once on the way there and they put me on hold.... for a really long time. I was still on hold by the time I got there. Needless to say they didn't take my order over the phone. The food here is pretty good and affordable. I've had the Drunken Noodles and the Pad See Ew before and they were better then what I get in most other thai restaurants. It's all about the quality of the noodles. They have to be soft yet a little chewy. At least that is how I like it and that's how they make it. Stopped off here after the insanity known as the Winnetka DMV, and greeted by a very friendly staff who recommended two dishes: the BBQ chicken, and the Pad Thai. Both were very good, especially the Pad Thai which can often be too sweet. I especially like the brown rice that came with the chicken. There were not many open tables at 3pm, so I imagine it can get pretty crowded if you come during the lunch rush. read more
