First time trying a Pinkberry. I finally get the hype for it. My friends and I came here after seeing a show at the Punch Line late around 10:00pm. There was almost a line out the door, so I was hoping the food was worth the wait. Well it was. It's not like most froyo spots where they let you do everything yourself this spot has a counter and you tell the person behind the counter what you want on your froyo and what froyo you want. I got the original flavor, added strawberries, cinnamon crumble and then a roasted marshmallow. The people behind the counter were very nice and the place was clean. The froyo tasted delicious! I really enjoyed everything and since they make it it was a lot more organized than the ones I usually make at other froyo spots. Overall, I liked it a lot and will definitely stop by another one the next time I see one. read more

*YAY* This was the FIRST pinkberry to open in the region and I was STOKED since none of the better yogurt chains had made its way up here. It really creeped me out the first time I was here b/c ALL of the workers enthusiastically screamed" WELCOME TO PINKBERRY" as a friend and I walked in. Now I am down for super happy, but this enthusiasm was forced and fake. ha ha ha CREEPY. Regardless, i got my original medium yogurt--no topping and enjoyed myself =D There is some seating here, but imagine on busy days, it'd be hard to find a seat. P-I-N K-B-E R-R-Y PINKBERRY!!! Well after several long years Pinkberry is finally in Sacramento. Located in the Nordstrom Rack Shopping Center, the store location is located right next to Jamba Juice. Like the typical Pinkberry the décor is rather I guess you can put it chic and modern. Space is somewhat I limited, but you can take a small walk to Starbucks. If you like tart tangy yogurt then Pinkberry is the place for you there is no real way I can describe it, but some how the guys at Pinkberry have perfected the formula for one of the tastiest yogurts here. I'd highly recommend getting the original, they have other flavors but original is what's good mmmm... As for toping they have a variety of fresh fruit (strawberries, various berries, etc) and assortment of dry toppings (mochi, fruity pebbles, nuts and granola) I suggest getting Original with Mochi, Strawberries and fruity pebbles. It's a tasty combination that is a treat for your taste buds. The only bad thing about Pinkberry is that unlike yogurtagogo you don't get to choose the precise amount of toppings you get which to some might be a deal breaker because they prefer their yogurt a certain way or like the process of making it themselves. read more

I loooove me some Pinkberry!! I frequent the Arden, Loehmann's, and Sunrise locations, and have not noticed any appreciable difference between them... My favorite is the watermelon--I was so happy they brought back that flavor! All the flavors are really good, but the chocolate and the salted caramel are a little sweet for me, and the original is not sweet enough! I prefer the flavors that have the base taste of the original, with a little fruitiness :-) Their toppings are so fresh and yummy too! Fresh fruit is always great, and I love the little crispy chocolate balls as well. For some flavors, they'll even have a special topping (like the watermelon puree for the watermelon yogurt). Never had pinkberry before but a friend constantly goes there. Since they don't have any out where we're from, I swore this year I'd try it. So after a big dinner, I took the kids here for dessert. The location we went to was nice. It was so bright and clean. Having never ate it, I liked that they don't weigh the yogurt, which is what I thought they would do. I liked that they put as many toppings as they can without charging you for them. I got the mini because we just ate dinner, but next time I will come back for a larger size, because they had this waffle crisp thing that looked really good and I've been craving waffles for some reason here lately. This time, I just opted for mochi because I love mochi. I really just wanted that but the girl kind of pressure me to get one more so I picked coconut flakes just because. I got the salted caramel - because I've never tried that and I wished I could taste it. I swear, I'll have to come back to all these places once I'm done being sick and can taste food again. Anyway, I guess it didn't matter what flavor yogurt I got because I couldn't taste the salted caramel. But I did love me the mochi. I think it's a texture thing. And of course, the kids both loved theirs. The organic gummies were a hit. The only complaint I got from the older one was that the yogurt chips he got was crunchy. I guess he was thinking they'd be softer or melt-ier. I bought 2 minis and one small and paid around $10. We'll come back definitely to try others. Anyway, the service was friendly, the tables were clean & something about that pebble floor made me want to walk barefoot on it. I resisted the temptation but just thought you should know the floor looks cool. Music was a little louder than I'd like during my conversation, but maybe that's just me getting old. I just smiled & nodded at my girlfriend - not sure but I may have accidentally agreed to babysit for her. Love the yogurt here. I tend to gravitate more towards places that are not self serve, as I think the yogurt and topping choices tend to be a bit better. I don't mind paying a bit more per ounce when it tastes better. Plus I usually end up spending less because it's pretty easy to go a little crazy with self serve places. The yogurt here does not quite beat mochi yogurt for me yet, because the flavors at mochi are a bit more interesting, but they are definitely a close second. Some review I've read are misinformed. This isn't 'Finally Pinkberry is in NorCal' because there has been Pinkberry places here before this one. Froyo here is pretty nice. barely you'll get any ice in it. What I don't like is they give you however much froyo and toppings. I personally perfer other places where you can get it all yourself and pay by the ounce. I think you should definitely try their 'Passion Fruit' and 'Pomegranate' flavor. I have a secret I think I have a Pink Berry addiction! I'm a froyo type of gal. And this place has it down. I don't care that it's a chain this is some good stuff. I've never strayed away from there original flavor although I did try a taste of a friend's bubbly champaign flavored yogurt and that was pretty bomb as well. Paired with some of there fresh fruit toppings and I'm in healthy dessert heaven. Last week I went on a pink berry binge for 3 days. I LOVE this place. I once thought that people serving you your yogurt was dumb and you can totally do it yourself.. But at Pink Berry most of the employees try to fit as many toppings as you want into the cup. They have a flat rate fee which I thought was awesome since @ self serve places they charge you by the ounce. Fruits always look fresh so you're not wondering how long something has been there for. Germaphobes unite! If self-service fro yo creeps you out, then leave those worries behind when you enter Pinkberry! I've got to admit, I could be described as a control freak when it comes to my fro yo (and other things!). I want to mix and match flavors, get as much fro yo as I want (bad day = tons!), and load up my toppings, especially the PB cups into a tower of PB bliss. But sometimes I enter these self-service fro yo establishments and kinda shudder as I see toddlers reach their hands into the bins of treats after they've just been picking their nose. Ewwww! In life, we have to always consider the positive and negatives with any big decision such as which fro yo establishment we plan use our calories on! Here's my take on the situation at Pinkberry: +1: *Germ free (although, Donovan H had encounters with not one, but two hairs at this particular Pinkberry. That's just as bad as the toddler booger hands!). *High quality fro yo that's silky smooth! *Many different sizes to meet my needs - mini (the size I should get), small (the size I usually get), medium (the size for the bad days), large (the size I just shouldn't get). *Creative seasonal flavors with suggested topping pairings that usually work in harmony. One of my favorites is the PB fro yo combined with strawberry jelly. So reminiscent of that PBJ I used to eat as a kid! *Incredibly fresh fruit toppings and upscale candy toppings. -1: *Lack of control! They do it all, so relinquish your fro yo powers and sit back and watch the events unfold! *Can we say pretentious?! The employees kind of have holier-than-thou attitude. *Lack of the junk-food type toppings. No gummy worms or PB cups to be found here! *Seasonal flavors that just like the name implies, rotate only seasonally. So, you can't come here often or you'll get bored. I can only eat pumpkin so many times in one season! They also keep their usual staple flavors such as chocolate, but I really only go for the seasonal ones because they aren't so "vanilla." My conclusion is that this is an "every-so-often" type of fro yo place. Server was kinda rude.. After giving her my order (small watermelon & salty caramel) she immediately snapped at us and said "You're only going to get ONE and share?" in a rude tone. Um. if you had waited a second Mr. X would've told you his order but NO she was too busy being a bitch. The entire time when she was making our order, she kept trying to have us ring up before we even finished telling her what kind of toppings we wanted. All i wanted on my froyo was mango, strawberry, yogurt chips and a waffle cookie. She kept trying to shut me up and talk over me when I was ordering so finally I gave up and just ended up having only mango and strawberry in my froyo. But the thing that made me hella mad was the fact that after she rushed us off to the cashier, she IMMEDIATELY ran to her friends (who were sitting at one of the tables), sat down, and started to gossip. Remember when a bagel shop was on every corner? Remember Krispy Kreme? If you were like me and my coworkers, one day we all looked at eachother and admitted we hated Krispy Kreme donuts. I see a similar fate for this place. I honestly do not see how people can compare this place to any other yogurt joint (like the zillion ones where you weigh it after you put it together). Its NOT frozen yogurt, PinkBerry is tart yogurt that makes you pucker faster than a boyfriend who wouldnt warn you before he...well you get the idea. Its HORRID. The line moves SUPER slow, because the beyond friendly staff do the work for you. I gave them two stars for the ultra fresh fruit toppings, and super nice staff, but honestly, the stuff here just tasted like shit. The prices suck too. Pinkberry is like... the not obese best friend of Big Spoon. I feel like Pinkberry says, "you can have all of these things, as long as you don't over do it" [insert finger wagging here]. Whatever tickles your pickle to be honest, but I think I can get into this Pinkberry thing. Pinkberry is definitely a breath of fresh air. The employes are spunky, well versed in their scripts and generally a glowing representation of their brand. The yogurt is pretty much like every other pop-up yogurt shop in any given town. The toppings look fresh and they don't leave you wondering where the last strawberry is hidden.The location itself was gorgeous -- I know. You're thinking I'm crazy BUUUT, the pebble floor, all of the class, the cleanliness, the seating... It was like Scandinavian Designs (NOT IKEA) came and rubbed itself all inside Pinkberry. Very nice, very well done indeed. I had a greek yogurt smoothie thing (11 grams of protein, if you care -- I don't really, I just mention it because I read it in the lobby on the window). It was good. It had too much ice in it. It needed work and it took WAY too long to make. In the last few sips, I think I got a taste of what it was supposed to taste like and that was pleasing. I'd likely give it another try. At my table there was another smoothie, with the same results and a tart yogurt that seemed to at least be on par with the already saturated froyo market. Once upon a time, Jamba Juice and Big Spoon hooked up, and nine months later they had a baby and called her Pinkberry. You get all the spunk and service of a Jamba Juice (I'm sure I'm generalizing) and the freedom of choice and froyo-ish experience of a Big Spoon with a nice modern finish and a crazy awesome pebble floor. read more

The frozen yogurt is good at Pinkberry. However, I do with they had a wider selection. I really enjoy their chocolate, it is like netella flavored and devilishly good. They also have a good selection of toppings. I dislike and like the fact that the toppings are served to you though. I dislike this because sometimes I want to be that girl that loads her froyo with cheesecake bites and chocolate chips but you kinda feel judged when you're like "Keep it coming... nope that's not enough, keep scooping please"... This brings me to why I like that they serve the toppings to you... because it pressures me to have a healthier yogurt. Plus, people aren't sneezing all over your toppings or letting their kids stick their fingers in everything, the pros outweigh the cons here for sure. The staff-aweome! They are always patient and helpful ready to recommend things and give you samples. I enjoy coming here and it is definitely my default spot. Yummy Pinkberry has arrived in Sacramento. We were lucky to be invited to the VIP event and yes, we took advantage. The biggest bonus for getting in the tent was that we were given yogurts and didn't have to wait in the line, and we loaded up on whatever toppings were available (topping buffet). Great party concept, by the way. If you've never been to a Pinkberry down in LA, it's a tart frozen yogurt, comes in flavors like plain (the best), coconut (very tasty), pomegranate (also yummy), green tea (my least favorite) and mango (which I tried today and it was delicious.) As I always say, frozen yogurt is a pretty decent snack as long as you don't load up on the largest size, and you make sure to add lots of colorful fruit, possibly a few mini chocolate chips. The minute gummy bears, cereals, chocolate brownies, and other crap is added, you have essentially negated every single benefit that you may have gotten from a perfectly decent tasting swirl of cultured frozen dairy. That said, Pinkberry is definitely one of the top spots for the tart yogurt. This is not your slimy chemically tasting TCBY or ounces-of-yuck self serve spot. This yogurt can stand on its own, and in my opinion, is enhanced only with fruit. I'm otherwise a purist. The other good spots in town are Cultive (for self serve) and Mochii (for a good tart and lots of mochi options). Pinkberry's biggest global competitor is Red Mango, which I like in Korea, but did not enjoy in LA when we hit the one in Korea Town. Pinkberry's fun was free, delicious, and a great time. I also liked the tent full of kids mixed with people walking around eating mini yogurts as if they were at a fashion shoot. cRaCkEd us right on up. Everyone was very nice, and the Pinkberry reps were great and helpful. Kudos to the organizers for having a tent and a great DJ, but my kid would have danced if there was a dance floor. I also appreciated the many drinks available, the sweet flower arrangements, and the photo booth, which was worth the line. We stayed till 9 PM. It's in the same shopping center as Nordstrom Rack. Worth a visit some time in the future when the crowds die down, or head out during some down time to try it!! You will likey. read more

Pinkberry's frozen yogurt is really no better or worse than any other halfway decent frozen yogurt place. Where it's really lacking, though, is in the fact that you can't get your own toppings. I often go half and half, or pile on a lot of a particular topping and just a tiny bit of another. I hate being forced to spend several minutes explaining what I want and holding up the line when I could have done it myself in a few seconds. The pricing scheme kind of sucks, too. Just weigh what I get and charge accordingly - don't make me guess what a given size is going to be like. If there were truly no other options, I might go back. Lucky for me, though, there are tons of places that are more than happy to give me exactly what I'm looking for. read more
