Food has been great lately! Quality and friendly staff. They go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. Great local restaurant.

I skipped going here for awhile even though it's close to my house due to the reviews. Glad I gave it a chance because the service, drinks and food have been great now multiple times. Staff is all very nice and responsive, something I know a lot of restaurants struggle with right now. The food has been very good, and the margaritas are delicious. Been going here for several years. It's a nice place and food has been very good. But.... A few days ago we decided to introduce our new neighbors to Pinnacle Grill. Unfortunately, when we got there there was a sandwich board outside saying, "Sorry, we only have one menu item tonight". Some kind of pasta dish. WTF? We were both mad and embarrassed that we had brought our friends here. When we inquired why the whole menu was kaput the hostess said they didn't have any kitchen staff so all they could offer was one item. Uh, no thanks. We left and went elsewhere. Not sure we'll go back, and we definitely won't bring anyone who's never been there before. Today I saw that they are advertising for a new chef and kitchen help. Better call ahead before you trek out there to make sure your effort isn't wasted like ours was. read more

We don't write negative reviews. Our belief is if we enjoy, spread the word. If the word isn't spread, don't go there. With that said, we have been to the Pinnacle Grill on numerous occasions. We both enjoy several of their pasta dishes as well as great burgers. Today, I deviated to the Reuben sandwich with a choice of side. Believe me, we both love the 'skinny fries' that I have had with a burger before. That is the side I chose. This was the worst Reuben sandwich imaginable. It had three slim slices of corned beef, a small portion of sauerkraut so as not to over power the 'intimate' serving of corned beef. It was the worst sandwich of any kind ever had at a restaurant. I didn't take a photo as we don't write negative reviews. But, there is a restaurant within 10 miles, The Tryst Cafe, which has the best Reuben sandwich in the valley. Full of delicious, not fatty corned beef with lots of sauerkraut and thousand island dressing. They do so much better on other items including pastas, burgers, etc. Just don't order the Reuben. read more

We've been eating at Pinnacle Grille for over 10 years and until recently we've always enjoyed it. Unfortunately in the last 6 months or so the dining experience has dropped way off. We understand there was a lot of employee turnover, which may be the root cause of the fall off in quality. Four of us dined at Pinnacle Grille on 11/24/19. 3 of the 4 were unhappy. The most severe complaint was that the baby back ribs were very over-cooked, so even with a dousing of extra BBQ sauce they were too dry to eat. Even from across the table I could see that. The meatloaf was brought to the table topped with some kind of cheese, which was not mentioned in the menu. This is a problem for diners who have a cheese or dairy allergy, or in this case for diners who just don't want cheese. The menu listed many other components of this dish, but surprisingly made no mention of cheese. I chose the Beyond Meat burger, a fairly new addition to the Pinnacle Grille menu. It tasted OK, but for the $14 base price, it was a very small burger. read more

I'm surprised by the 3 1/2 stars because my meal, service and atmosphere on the patio were all great! I had a happy hour ground beef taco which was so yummy and the salmon salad entree. Salmon was delicious and the greens were fresh and tender and dressing was very good! Will definitely be going back! read more

we live in the neighborhood and have dined here over the years. I just returned after being gone 3 weeks, my husband said, "Let's go to Pinnacle Grill for dinner" I said "Sure". Last time we were there was not the best service OR food. Neighbors had said they had stopped going, but we thought we will give it another try. When we arrived at 5:00pm the hostess asked if we had a reservation. We said no and she said we could sit anywhere there wasn't a "Reserved":sign. So we took a table. And waited and waited and waited. After 10 minutes without even a "someone will be right with you" we left. The thing is...it was a Tuesday at 5:00pm, only 4 tables full and there were servers and bussers, but clearly we were not welcome. Won't have to worry about it as we will never be back read more

This friendly grille is within walking distance to my home & it's a great neighborhood bar & grille with great specials and drinks that include wine & beer specials too. The patio is great with patio heaters! Because it tends to get busy in the evenings, especially now that the COVID mandate has been lifted, we make a reservation to avoid the wait. GENERALLY, we have a great experience. The last time we came in , the waiter was young, as in college age young. He could have been more attentive, as it took us 25 minutes to get even a 'hello' or initial drink order. We have noticed the last couple of times that we have been in that its seemingly a young 'college' or high school aged group running the wait staff with the exception of one super nice lady that we LOVE! SHE never makes us wait and never misses a beat on our order and if she does..she's super apologetic. You don't get that from the younger wait staff. In fact, after making us wait so long to take a drink order, this waiter than rushed us through our meal bringing our salad , two minutes later our entrees, then as we were wanting to grab a dessert and take another look at the menu, he 'reminded us' that they close at 800pm. I don't care. When you make your patient guests who live in the area and frequent your restaurant throughout a pandemic making sure that your business stays open, we will take the time we need to look at the menu. SO this guy ended up annoying me in the end, needlessly. The wait staff was goofing off in the corner , we never had our waters refilled once during this particular visit. We usually take the dessert to go, BUT that isn't the point. My four star review is for the awesome food; GENERALLY the great service and I mean that... despite my comments about the goofing off younger staff.. I've had wait staff go out of their way to give me a rose sparkling wine if I asked when its not on the menu. I asked this time and I am pretty sure the kid did not go out of his way and that is okay.. ;-) There is great wines like one of my favorite table wines, Conundrum by Caymus, on the menu. My favorite salad : A Louie , with actual fresh shrimp and crab! The desserts are usually all home made with the exception of a few. The staff does wear their masks properly; the tables are sanitized ; the restrooms are clean. I wish they had brunch and again.. more of a serious staff! :) read more

If you love cafeteria food and the menu right out of Costco then you have found heaven. Service at lunch time was very very slow. Clearly you come here to eat only if you're retired or on vacation because if you have 40 mins to eat lunch and get back to work you can plan on being late. Very disappointed. We come here for lunch a couple of times a month and really like it. The food is consistently good, the prices are reasonable, and Dawn is on top of everything. She remembers our orders, but is easily able to make changes if we decide to change something new. She is great at making suggestions based on knowing our tastes and preferences. Wow! What a renovation! Granted I remember the old very western informal place from years and years ago. This new restaurant is very nice; draws a good crowd, Troon demographic. My friend and I went in on a Saturday night to grab some appetizers and almost every table was full or reserved! We sat at the bar which was great, very friendly personable bar tenders. Prices are $$-$$$ which is normal given the area. $9 nachos on happy hour, add $4 for chicken. They were tasty! Messy as expected with nachos. Will definitely be back! read more

Gotta love a place that had ten soup options!!! TEN!!! Love soup so loved that!!! We sat outside and had a beautiful view of pinnacle Peak! I love that aspect of it. I had the "make your own salad" and they had so many different ingredients I had a hard time deciding. I ended up adding more than I was even supposed to but they just give you a nominal charge to add a few extra items. The chicken and rice soup was absolutely phenomenal! My boyfriend got the chicken tortilla soup and he loved that too. He had a Cobb salad and was very impressed with it. It was very relaxing, the atmosphere was perfect, and the view was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant when you are in this area. Kudos to the staff because we will definitely be back next time we are in the area. read more

4 of us opted to sit outside on a very chilly Thursday night - they brought us a couple of heaters which kept us pretty warm. One of our diners was running late, so he texted us his order, we placed our order, and he literally sat down as food was being served. The two guys had the French dip which came with one side. One had the Caesar salad. One here the fries. Came with a lot of dipping sauce. both guys were happy with their dinners. My friend had the chicken quesadilla appetizer, which came with a nice serving of guacamole. I had a Greek chicken, feta, artichoke on a bed of mostaccioli. All the food came out at the right temperature, and the portions were generous. I took half mine home. Our server, Tim, was patient, efficient, funny, and took really good care of us. We would've been miserable on the inside because the place was packed and very noisy. We suffered a little chill, but at least we could hear each other talk. No one else was sitting outside, so there was no rush for us to leave and I would go back here if it wasn't so far from where I'm staying. read more

My wife and I were weekly visitors to the restaurant and enjoyed the staff and the food. Several days ago a very unforgivable event took place. I recently had rotator cuff surgery and am in a full sling on my right arm. having one hand causes many challenges.. I asked our server, who was the bartender, to order a chef salad for me but I needed it chopped and tossed with the dressing. The salad arrived and it was not chopped or tossed. I asked what the problem was and he said the kitchen would not do it. I spoke with the Manager who informed me that it was AGAINST the chef's policy to provide that service. Never have we been treated in this manner, especially with the poor attitude of the Manager. We have had our last meal at this unaccommodating Grille where customer service is second to the Chef's policy. read more

I usually have the sea scallops, but this time I tried something totally different,the liver and onions with sautéed spinach on the side, and sweet potato fries, Most excellent. This is by far the worst restaurant ever!!! Ordered apps and 45 minutes later the dinner dishes showed up but no apps!!!! The Yelp reviews were all over the place and thought we give it a try. The pasta dish my husband ordered looked like dog food! My son saw dishes were pulled out of microwave! This restaurant is in the middle of multi million dollars homes and dog food is served!!!! If you don't have reservations, try sitting in the bar. We have eaten there twice since December. Our server each time was Adam the bartender, who was first rate. Our dinners each time we're delicious; I had fish and chips and also a chicken Caesar wrap. The bar area is a little hectic, with wide screen TVs and servers coming in and out constantly, but pleasant enough. Weather was so beautiful this Friday afternoon and wanted an early dinner outside no too far from the house. First time visiting this establishment. Very busy inside as it was happy hour. We didn't make a reservation but got a table shortly after we ordered a drink at the bar. Once they sat us at our table. Nobody greeted us. Nobody asked us if we wanted something at the bar. It took them almost 15 mins before a waiter came. He took our drink order and returned quickly. Didn't give us any highlights of the days special. He speeded off back inside. Didn't check on us at any point while waiting for our food. Once our food arrived he didn't ask us if we needed anything else and darted off. Keep in mind this restaurant was fully staffed. Several servers hanging out at the kitchen window. Just poorly managed. Once our food arrived. My salmon entree was pretty good. As for my husband's chopped steak ( a popular dish) he felt that it was just OK. I don't think we will return here for dinner unless they properly train their staff how to serve tables. read more

Worst experience ever! Server barely visited our table. Took over 10 minutes from sitting down to get water and then our server finally arrived. Ordered chips, salsa & guacamole - this took 15-20 minutes because they couldn't find the "right" dish for the salsa and then the server made it sound like we were lucky because we got extra salsa. salsa and guac were definitely not fresh - tasted like it was bulk purchased from Costco. Our meals came about 5 minutes after app, then had to wait another 5 minutes for last meal (which was for our birthday girl). Short ribs were dry. We also had 2 manhattans - both tasted very different. And then it took over 10 minutes to close out our table. I was excited to try this place due to prior reviews, but it definitely did not live up to the ratings I saw. Will not go back. read more

How is this place still in business? I don't know how this place has 3.5 stars. It's awful. Took an hour to get my cold soup. My mother in laws salmon was completely raw. My daughters chicken strips were like rubber and sloppy fries. My husbands salmon was simply disgusting. I just don't understand how people enjoy this place. This will be my first review but my meal was so bad I feel the need to let other people know. I went to Pinnacle Grille for lunch with two colleagues, the service was extremely slow. I decided on the French dip for my meal it came out about 30 minuets later an was probably the worst meal I have ever had. The meat was so tough it was more like jerky, the flavor was gamy as if the meat was bad it also had a gray color to it. The au jus had no flavor and was almost clear as if it was watered down. The only saving grace was the bun. I see a lot of positive reviews but after a meal like that I don't think I will be visiting Pinnacle Grille again! read more

What an unbelievable restaurant! The waiter was awesome and the meal was unsurpassed! I had the Gorgon zola Steak with Cajun pasta. I've never tasted a dish better.
