They moved to their new location and it's definitely bigger. I don't feel so crammed. The food is still good from moving because sometimes I noticed places change in taste when that happens. I come here for my father-in-law for their pancit palabok. He randomly ask for it often. The people are quick when placing the order. It can be loud as well. Oh parking isn't as bad as before but I noticed the price did go up a little. read more

Yeah this is going to be a simple review cause I only tried one item from here: The BBQ pork skewers. Basically, my boy Marcus AKA Tanjun AKA Junclast has been hyping up Pinoy BBQ ATBP to me for a long time, being the proud Filipino he is. I finally got to try it the other day when he brought a party tray of skewers to our Friendsgiving. Small shoutout to my YouTube viewer Ian Jose. Compared to most Filpino food I've had, it's actually pretty good. The pork itself was fatty and juicy. There was a smoky and chargrilled flavor, you can definitely tell that they cooked this on the grill. The skewers were SLATHERED in a sweet BBQ sauce. It almost reminds me of Korean or Japanese BBQ. The BBQ sauce on it was sweet and was reminiscent of like Teriyaki sauce or Sweet Baby Rays. I will say there was a bit too much sauce on the skewers for my liking, leading to a supremely messy eating experience and the meat being slightly too sweet, but overall it was pretty tasty. It'd probably be better when it's served with rice, instead of just purely eating the skewer. Looking back, Pinoy BBQ ATBP is pretty decent but nothing too crazy. I can't review the venue, service, or price as I only tried the food as takeaway. read more

I frequent this place a lot before, but since I moved to the East Bay, I haven't been for the longest time. Last week, I had the chance to visit Milipitas area and I thought about this place since I missed it so much. They changed locations and posted it on a little note on the door where they used to be. Its not bad, it was 2 minutes away. I brought some friends (non-Filipino) but because they appreciate our food, I thought they'd like it here too. Its not the same... Yeah the place is bigger now! It can now accommodate more people. But something in the taste of the food changed. Not in a good way, Im sorry. Service was, meh... Where's all the people from before? Kuya with the blonde hair? He was very generous with the bbq sauce. I asked for more bbq sauce but they were VERY stingy with it even with the lumpia sweet and sour sauce. Its watered down and they didnt want to give extras. The cashier guy, young asian looking guy looked unhappy and bored. Maybe it was just one of those days. IDK. But I miss the old vibe, the people, the food. Chicken bbq was still as good, but there was not enough sauce and parang nakakahiya humingi kasi parang galit sila pag hingi ka extra. LOL. read more

At the old location they accepted card payment For party trays order. This my 1st time ordering party trays at the new location, and they wanted cash only for over a $100 order. Food was delicious but was just surprised about the cash payment required. But i was told i can pay in cash when i come in to pick up,which was the next day. read more

Service was spot on our server was friendly, quick with recommendations, and even hooked us up with extra sauce on the side. The pork sisig was too spicy. The jalapeño seeds were all over the dish. I wish there was a note that said this. I couldn't eat it. However, The sinigang and diniguan were delicious. read more

My family and I have been coming here for the longest time. Even before they relocated to this new location which, I must say, is a WHOLE LOT BETTER. Definitely an upgrade from their old location. Which was small and hard to find parking most of the time. They moved into what used to be Huong Lan Sandwiches sometime in mid August. Lots more parking and lots more eating space! More spacious to lay out all their entrees for you to see. Can't forget the wall of Pacquiao! It's all there for you to admire while munching on hot rice and favorite dishes. I wish they would open a second location in SJ so I wouldn't have to drive so far. But they are definitely worth the drive. Especially when I crave home cooked style Filipino food. Ordered from their catering menu: lechon kawali, kaldareta, and chopsuey. They take only cash payments for large orders over a certain amount. My fav dish of the ones that I ordered was the beef kaldareta. My guests loved it too. Everything though tasted very good. Wished the kawali were cut though in smaller pieces but otherwise would definitely order from here again. read more

I've tried many Filipino restaurants in the Bay Area and this one is hands down one of the best ones. I don't mind the 45 minute drive to come down here & get food. My favorites are their beef kaldereta (tender beef, rich & hearty stew), pork sinigang (tender pork, sour sabaw and veggies cooked to perfection), and turon (crispy with caramalized sugar, literally some of the best turon I've tried). I also love that they have cool taste juice pouches! Reminds me of my childhood and I can't find these anywhere else (including Asian markets). The prices are reasonable for the portion and quality of food that you get. Sometimes this place can get packed but service is quick! read more

Very glad I found this place. I was driving back home and stopped around the area early on a Friday morning for some food. Found this place open at 8AM so came to check it out! Immediately greeted by the worker and owner(?) here. The menu here is not extensive at all and very basic Filipino breakfast cuisine for the start of the day. They are all individually packaged and given a great amount! I literally see them working hard and packing it up in each to-go container. I was struggling on what to order and very glad the worker really helped me out on discussing what item is which. As a non-Filipino and not sure of the Filipino cuisine she took the time to explain what each food they had. I went ahead and got the breakfast combo for garlic rice, longanisa, and tapa. It was very affordable at about $10. I ended up eating it in my car and oh man it was freaking delicious. The tapa was beef and super tender. Not sure what marinade they used but it worked very well with the combo overall. The longanisa was fatty and complimented well with the egg and garlic rice. I will definitely be back to try their other foods in the future! read more

My go to place for affordable Filipino food. The pork bbq skewers are delicious along with many other dishes. I am a big fan of their beef caldaretta and machado. The sinigang is good with very tender pork. They recently started allowing half rice and half pancit ( pancit use to be treated as an item) and im so happy they made the change! read more

First, regular ulam and premium ulam should be eliminated. There should be just one price for both. It definitely confuses your customers. There was no label which one is premium, you- literally have to ask the servers. Second the meat and the veggies (eggplant and string bean on the Kare-kare are too tough to break and chew. Kare kare is also watery. The pancit lacks flavor and some ingredients like Chinese celery and black pepper are missing. The Igado taste bland. Half gallon Ice cream is a bit overpriced . read more

food? to be honest, i have no idea what i ordered. it's some barbecue rib and chicken adobo with noodles and rice. whatever it was, it was GAS. and big portions too. the lumpia was also good and very crispy. vibes? hole-in-the-wall, but there are a lot of locals and kids who came around lunchtime. other people mostly came for pickup though, so there was still ample seating. nice food servers who explained what everything was (to my party who was a little confused). come back? yes. reasonable prices (around $15) and kind service. good parking. read more

As we were so hungry and excited to eat !! :)) We got 2 combo plates. 1) rice - pork bbq on a stick - tapa 2) rice- pork bbq on a stick - pork sisig I love going to this place!! Such great food mostly when you are on a rush just tell them your items and go. As they dont have that many options to choose from it is still so hard to decide what to order because they all look and taste so good!! If its your first time trying out this place I recommend grabbing a combo plate of rice , pork bbq on a stick with extra sauce!, bistek or caldereta . Also turon or carioca as dessert!! If you want a little soupy soup ask for a side of sinigang sabaw ! The best! Parking can be tough. This is what pure home made tastes like, everything on theirfresh menu was made the day of in the kitchen at the back. One of the best pancit I ever had. Lechon was not too greasy, very tender. Chicken adobo was okay, it was more on the sour side and had a lot of bones. Seating is limited because it's more of a food to go location. I love filipino barbeque (especially pork skewers), so I'm glad to have a place near where I live that serves this dish regularly, and with dependable hours. Along with that, they have so many other great filipino dishes, displayed and constantly being cooked fresh and refilled in the restaurant to choose from when you order. There are no labels, so if you don't know what something is, just ask and they will explain. The workers were so friendly and helpful when we visited. There was a line which wasn't too long when we arrived, but do expect somewhat of a wait if you come during a popular time (we visited around lunch time on a Saturday, and the line grew by the time we left).  We got several different dishes, to purposely have leftovers for days... goat, chicken adobo, bistek, pork bbq skewers, bbq chicken, and lumpia. We also got two packages of polvoron (Goldilocks label), one classic, and the other assorted flavors (classic, coffee crunch, cookies & cream, rice crispies, and ube).  All of the food was really good, the sweet filipino bbq taste and perfect char on the porks skewers and chicken (they douse it in filipino bbq sauce before they serve it or place it in your takeout container), the other dishes full of flavor too, not too salty, with perfectly cooked meat and just the right amount of sauce to eat with the rice that came as part of the dishes. The lumpia were tiny (like half the size of other places), and come in orders of 10 pieces. We got the order for takeout. There is no seating outdoors, and there are only a few tiny tables/seats inside the restaurant which is a very small space, and the seating is somewhat closed off, so I don't know if people are actually eating inside there at this time.  If waiting in line to order, you can view the many photos of Manny Pacquiao on the walls and memorabilia throughout the restaurant, and learn about his history and accomplishments. This place is pretty much a Manny Pacquiao shrine, proud of his filipino heritage... some cool stuff to see for sure. read more

Yum yum yum! We stopped for breakfast because were were craving some garlic rice and and tocino. We're so happy to of found this spot, their super friendly and helpful to help make sure you get the right order. Their in a shopping plaza and it's a little snug inside so you might be lucky and find a spot to eat otherwise enjoy the meal in the car or at home. The food itself is mouth watering. We got garlic rice, with 2 different orders between tocino and steak. The meal was served in a very generous size, enough for 2nd meal at home lol. I only wish the egg had been a little runny to soak the rice up. Definitely suggest trying this place especially for breakfast! A lot of options to choose from. read more

It's sooooo disappointing! This will be my first and last time to do business here! I bought a large lechon worth $540, it was too over cooked that even the bones have no moisture left on it. Cutting the meat is like cutting a dry firewood. I got my money back and the guy in front apologized. I did not get mad at all because I am fully aware that this can happen. I said "no worries. I know that this happens sometimes". But what really upsets me is when I finally had time to eat the supposed to be a goat meat caldereta that I also ordered there at home. I requested and paid the goat meat price (3 large cup for $72) but instead they used beef neck bone. I know the difference between goat meat and beef neck bone since we always cook beef neck bones. They removed all the bones and no goat bones at all. The total absence of goat meat smell is also evident. Beware of this place. read more
