I saw their page on Facebook and they showed a lot of mouth watering pictures of Philippine dishes (fried chicken, kare kare, pork sisig, crispy pata, etc). The place just opened 4 months ago. And it's here in my 'hood...oh em gee...i gotta check them out!!! I was expecting it to be just a restaurant...but instead it's a sari sari like store (small grocery store). From the outside it looks like it's not open. I almost missed the place!! Anyway, I came in and was greeted by a nice lady with a smile. I asked if they have food...hahaha...and there it is...back of the store is a small display of turo turo ( point what you want dish =))...I ordered a whole fried chicken (they still have to cook it but it was fast..but if you are in a hurry make sure you call ahead of time) and the pork sisig( A unique Pinoy savory and sometimes spicy pork dish whose preparation methods vary with every household. Sisig is simply pork, grilled on open coals or deep fried, and then chopped and seasoned well. ) which I was totally craving for. The fried chicken is divine and the pork sisig is so flavorful!!! This place is not your regular restaurant with seats...it is a place where you order to go or carry out. Their specialty is their Crispy Pata (I still need to try) and their Fried Chicken...but I will make sure to try other dishes too. They also cater. Their selection of hot meals may be limited, but the store usually carries all the ingredient basics of a Filipino grocery store. On my first visit here, I took home fried chicken plus complimentary fried rice w/ dried herring... what a treat! Everyone says their chicken is crispy outside and tender juicy inside... absolutely true! Plus it's not oily nor covered up with flour to make it crispy. I am very pleased with my first visit here. Straight up gem in the cuts. I rarely come to Vallejo, but thought I'd venture out into the neighborhood during my lunch break since I was scheduled to work there for the day. I try to find random, specialty places whenever I'm out and about. Sure enough, this place is a mini neighborhood supermarket/take-out food place. The lady that greeted me was super nice. I'm not too familiar with Filipino food so I took suggestions from her. I ended up getting the pork sisig and some type of chicken soup. Both of which were super delicious. She also suggested the crispy pata! It's their specialty. "Uhh sure... throw that in too! Ill take it home for dinner." I had no idea what a crispy pata was. I thought it was a small side dish or something. To my surprise, the lady brought out a huge crispy pork leg piece! I internally laughed at my obliviousness. The lady insisted I sit and eat, so I did. Lunch at my work building wouldve been boring and dull around strangers anyway. Not only was this my first experience trying pata... but eating lunch at a card table set-up in the middle of a grocery aisle. Our organization arranged a breakfast buffet with the owner Sis Ley. We want to a have great breakfast before going to Vallejo Outreach Program. The Vigan Longanisa is so yummy. I was soooo sad that they closed Ong Pin a few years ago because they served the best sisig in town, IMO. HOWEVER, I recently learned (by calling all the Filipino spots in Vallejo) that Pinoy Fried Oriental also prepares their sisig just like Ong Pin and House of Sisig (in DC). They grill nothing but meat. Real deal sizzling sisig if I do say so myself. A tad bit more expensive but those extra couple of bucks definitely save me time and money on the drive out of town to fix that craving. read more

Fresh Krispy Pata is hard to find as it is, but the fact that it's crispy on the outside, yet juicy and tender on the inside, and a good size, makes it the best in town; if not the best in northern California. I drive by this mom/pop store regularly but never stepped inside. Today was my first time and so glad I did. It's a small grocery store with a mini turo turo in the back, offering 6 different dishes. Menu changes daily. They are famous for their made-to-order crispy pata at $18 each and takes 15 mins. Lechon kawali is $13.99/lb. I had a 2-item combo plate with pork and eggplant binagoongan, pork mechado and white rice for $8.99. I also ordered a small side of ginataang langka for $3.00. Portion size was generous. Food was well-prepared, fresh and tasty, not too salty. It's homecooked comfort food. Service was super nice and friendly. I will be back. Highly recommend. read more

If you are expecting a full blown asian market like Ranch 99 or Fubonn in Portland, then you will be quite disappointed I only saw three shelves walking into the shop and most things did not seem labeled. It was also insanely hot in the shop. Immediately we were greeted by a woman asking what we were looking for. Being our first time in the area we said we were just browsing. She recommended the fried pork leg. I was a little iffy getting anything from this place, but once we got into the car and dug in, I was pleasantly surprised. Hence the three stars. Owners are very friendly. 3 orders of crispy pata for Super Bowl Sunday and got the thumbs up from everyone. Found some corn tortillas in the refrigerator and carnitas tacos anyone? My husband ordered us the Pata. It was very very good. The owner was very nice. It isn't really an oriental store though since the shelves aren't stocked with a lot of items. There isn't a large variety of hot food either, but the Pata was delicious. I wish there was a place in Portland that I could order this dish. read more

Long overdue review. Same as the prior review, I was greeted by a nice smiling female employee as soon as I walked in. First time I visited, her mom was also in the store, both very pleasant and helpful. I ordered crispy pata and it was heavenly. They cooked it to order, wait was only 15 minutes. As I was waiting, I ordered a half-tray paella for work for pick-up the following day; the paella was a hit. I have not tried any of their cooked food on display as I usually go there right after they open for the day. Looking forward to trying out their menu, which seem to change everyday, is ok by me. Variety is the spice of life. Is it possible to post the menu on facebook maybe the day before or morning of? Street parking is available, either on Springs Road or the side street. We had used Pinoy Fried to cater a couple of parties. Everyone "Loved The Food"!!!!!! Free delivery and they arrived early too. We ordered the Sisig, Kare-Kare, Pancit Palabok and Lumpia Hubad. I had been going to this restaurant for just 2 times, they have buffet table with selective items but you can order food to go. The first time I came was good I ordered pinakbet and fried tilapia. They gave me a large fish with rice and pinakbet, when I got home I had lots of leftover that my friend was able to eat the leftover. I went back and order fried chicken and pinbakbet, it was also so good. I saw lots of people ordering crispy pata, customers told me that crispy pata was also delicious.
