I am very disappointed in the lack of customer service at this location. As a former chair of Kyle's Economic Development Committee and current member of the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce, I have always promoted local business whenever possible. We have been long-term customers of this establishment for oil changes and inspections since they opened in Kyle. Today, the manager, Sal, had the opportunity to maintain a long-standing customer but his response was "oh well!" After more than two hours of waiting for a vehicle inspection, and being told our name was on the list, it was not. This could have been very easily remedied, but Sal chose not to do so. I went in to get an oil change and inspection. They told me I needed new tires before it could pass without charging me. I went and got new tires and it passed. They were cheap and fast. Today my wife went to get an oil change. She thinks the tech's name was Justin. My wife is a young lady and neither of us know a lot about cars - but for some reason people try to upsell her and rip her off at mechanic shops a lot. Not Kyle Express Care. They did exactly what was asked and she said they were quick. This is where we will go first for all of our car needs in Kyle. read more

This isn't the least expensive place to get your oil changed, but the guys that do the work know what they are talking about and are willing to help. I brought my older car in for an oil change, and the car had yet to warm up, they spent a little extra time to make sure that something hadn't gone wrong with the oil change and were more than willing to help me figure out what the problem was (just needed to warm up a little). The service is always quick and reliable, the price is a little high, but well worth it. On something like my car, I would rather not chase a discount, but instead find a reliable place to get it done. read more

I took my car in to have the oil changed before heading out on a trip to Kansas to my cousins wedding. On the way back we had an issue with the oil so I took it back in today and Ernest was amazing and so understanding. He was able to find the issue was with the filter ring and he took care of me to my full satisfaction. I have been in retail management for over 20 years and how issues are handled say a lot about a company. I can't say enough about how well Ernest handled it. I got my oil changed and the car inspected their a few weeks ago. everyone was fast, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. loved it. today I went by there to see if they had a mechanic. they don't. but he looked at it anyway just to make sure the oil wasn't leaking because of the oil change. then he was nice enough to recommend a couple of mechanics. Was turned away for an inspection two times in three days... once at 4:45pm and once at 4:30pm. The time I visited at 4:45pm, they said that they stopped doing inspections at 5. Okay, fine... then I came at 4:30 two days later. They turned me away again, saying that the guy was leaving early that day because he came in early that morning... seriously? I had my truck inspected here last year without incident so I returned again this year. This time around I added a full oil change (filters, wipers, synthetic oil) and had a brake light bulb replaced. The price was extremely affordable and the work was fast. What struck me most though was the amazing customer service. They were very friendly and never once got pushy with upgrades. I will definitely return in the future. read more

Went in for inspection and oil change. Inspection failed because my 2 month old wiper blades skipped. Doesnt skip with rain or enough water/windshield cleaner on windshield. Fail or buy my blades. I have used this place many times for oil changes. Never again! read more

I've taken my vehicles to Valvoline Express Care in Kyle for quite some time. I've recently purchased a 2016 Ford including their maintenance package which includes FREE oil changes. After our very first 9 hour free oil change, I knew exactly why I've gone to Valvoline Express Care all these years and will never go anywhere else! In my most recent experience, I drove up just to ask the guys if they looked at tires at all. He explained they didn't repair or replace tires but quickly offered to take a look to see if there were any noticeable tears or nails in my tire and he would lead me in the right direction. As a courtesy, these nice gentleman drove my car in the bay and inspected all 4 of my tires. He pointed out a nail in one tire and a tear in another. He explained the dangers driving on the tire that was coming apart and that the other could be repaired with a simple patch! He made sure my pressures were all okay and I was on my way to a tire shop. I got honest advice from some nice men who could have very well turned me away showing up to an oil change station with a tire problem. As a business owner, I certainly appreciate employees who will, without hesitation, go the extra mile. I highly recommend this place! read more

Up until recently, I used to love going to Kyle Express for my oil changes, until I had an incident there with someone named Sal. He was sitting on a stool as I pulled up for an oil change, he was on his phone looked up at me and yelled out "you got someone in the back" then continued to look back down at his phone with his headphones in. Which I thought to be very rude and unprofessional. Another gentleman named Robert approached, he was kind and guided me to the first door. My oil change went by quick and when it came time for me to pay Sal was the cashier his tone of voice was very off putting. His uniform was a different color than everyone else's, so I am assuming he is the manager? If he is than that is poor management. I won't be returning to Kyle Express again. read more

The Firestone place had an hour and a half wait for a state inspection, plus 20-30 minutes for the inspection. Drove here and got it done super-fast, plus they let my toddler watch them work. Very happy. read more

I noticed yesterday that they closed at 6, so today I raced home to get an inspection in time. A very nice mechanic told me they actually close at 5:30 and seeing as it was 5:20, he'd have to check with his manager. He promptly came out and said they'd go ahead and take care of it, and I was very appreciative. I'm new to the area and it's nice to be able to support a local business. read more

I went in on Friday the 12-14-12 with a 90 ford F-350 dually, said it got a piggy back plug on bottom, and wanted Rotella 15w40 and a filter. waited he came in and said finished, and said do not bring this truck back here. take to long to drain, paid 80 some dollars and left. two days later, truck is smoking, blue, and getting worse, so yesterdaY 12-22-12. Bought new oil, Rotella 15w40 and a fram filter, drained their oil, and it was like a 5 or 10 weight, had to almost destroy their filter to remove, put new filter on and added my oil. started truck, and drove about 5 miles, and no more smoke, I am sure they put in some cheap oil, not for diesels, will never go there again, plus they were more in getting you out, and am positive they put the wrong oil in. they are or should be shut down, or get more alert. read more

Great service, called in advance to see if they conducted vehicle inspections, I was told yes, and they had one person in front of me at the moment. I went over and they quickly took care of my inspection, and even directed me to the registration office down the street explaining the whole process to me with the new one sticker deal. I have been coming to the Kyle Express since it opened, and I believe it has only gone through two owners. The first owner, manager, and staff were the reason I continued to make the drive down from Dripping Springs. However, since the new management, I have seen a decline in the service. The last time I had my oil change, they left the dipstick out, which then caused oil to spew all over my engine and all under the hood. Today, I thought I would give them another try as I am a creature of habit. I took my 2016 vehicle to them and asked their opinion if it needed an oil change as the manual did not provide the information. The manager said they would go ahead and change it. I had 3500 miles on it and would have been the first oil change. Even though they obviously new it was not ready for an oil change (as the next 5000 mile sticker recommendation noted), they proceeded to do the oil change , which was $70.00. They knowingly took full advantage of me not knowing how soon to get it changed. Once I realized what happened, I called and spoke to the manager. I expressed my discontent with the situation. He attempted to lie about not knowing how much mileage was on my car, and clearly did not like being called out on the deceit. He was so incredibly rude, raised his voice at me, interrupted me in conversation, and refused my request of speaking to the owner. In addition, he stated he did not care if he lost customers. Unbelievable how incompetent these employees are and their poor professionalism. Totally a different "class" than previous owner and staff. If I could give it less than 1 star, I would! read more

Had my oil changed here in Feb, fast but not very friendly. Went to another place due to the customer service and found out the last place had rounded out my drain plug. I had to have my oil pan replaced. Called the manager and was told since I didn't bring it back to him he could do nothing and that the person who did the change has been doing it for years and wouldn't over tighten the drain plug. I know I never make mistakes so this must be true for him too.......really?? Since this is a franchise there is no district manager and the manager wouldn't give me the owners information. I am stuck with a $400 bill to replace my oil pan. So beware if something goes wrong. They won't own up to it.I will never go back or recommend anyone to this place. Oh and I have contacted Valvoline corporate offices via email two times in the last three weeks and they won't respond either. If you use them hope nothing goes wrong. read more

I go here all the time for oil changes and inspections etc. This year I went for my inspection; the first time I was told no inspector, short handed, come back. I could certainly understand things happen. Next time I took my lunch hour early, went for the inspection... a new guy asked me what I wanted, i told him, then I sat and watched car after car getting stuff done, but not me. NO ONE came to communicate with me whether I WOULD get done, was the inspector on lunch hour? Did he come in today? Would the wait be a little longer? Were they backed up? Short-handed? Who knows! You would think that a company that depends on their customers, would try to be a little more customer friendly and communicate. As a long time devoted customer, I think I will look for some place else. The new people aren't really working out. After an hour, I just left and no one came to speak to me once in all that time! read more
