Found this place on I-Exit & Yelp. We were looking for a quick stop to eat lunch & take a break from driving. The place was clean and very spacious. The tables aren't on top of one another which is really nice. The service was very friendly. We tried the Frisco burger & Frisco chicken sandwich they were both very good. Hands down the best burger you could ever ask for. Slightly spicy hand made patties with the freshest veggies on top on a toasted bun. Tastes like mom made but if she was better at it. Sorry mom. We were looking for a place to get dinner 6 hours into the 8 hour drive to Vegas and found this place on Yelp. Being British I'm not used to places with minimal street appeal but inside everyone was friendly, the jukebox was good (and can go really loud) and the burgers - we had the pitstop and the green chili - were really spectacularly good. Like, my pitstop was the best burger I've had in a year. Having ended up eating at the subway/McDonald's just up the road in the past, I'm really glad we tried this place. I've eaten here several times over the past few years and must say I was so happy to see they survived COVID and are still as good as ever. The 50s diner decor and cool accoutrements are always fun when sitting inside. This was a great find as dive bars go! It had all the activities of most dive bars, pool tables, darts, etc. There were 4 TVs with NFL games playing cause it was Sunday, but nothing obnoxious. The menu was full with common bar fare. When our burgers arrived, you could see they were hand made. Had the coleslaw instead of the fries, turned out to be broccoli slaw, YUM! The burger was the best I've had in a very long time! Their own special seasoning and all the toppings you would want and FRESH! The bartender was so attentive and very nice. Wow! Big changes since enjoying the Pit Stop from earlier this year. Food still good, wings can't go wrong ranch a bit watery. BLT plenty of thick sliced bacon, big enough to share. This is just another lesson of "don't judge a book by its cover." Its a bit sketchy looking when you pull up but there were 2 gentleman standing outside by the door that greeted us and complimented my hubby on his Vikings shirt and than when entering the bartender greeted us also and we were told by her and a gentleman that we could be seated. We all ordered, son mozzarella sticks, hubby got a Frisco burger and I got wings with homecut (fresh) fries. The food was delish. We will definitely be back but next time I'll be ordering the burger. I don't usually order burgers because I'm so nervous how it's going to be but I took a bite of his and holy shit... It just melts in your mouth. A true "Dive Bar". Ice cold beer, home-brewed tea, juicy burgers, and to-die-for ribs. Brilliant service. Our server actually made the ribs herself. On the not so wonderful side, but to be expected in a dive: No true air conditioning and the weird guy sitting by himself, staring from an abandoned pool room. Went to the Pit Stop last night for dinner. I ordered the Frisco Chicken, but they first brought out chicken fingers. After they realized their mistake, I had them bring me the onion rings while I waited on the sandwich. The onion rings were good and the ranch sauce appeared to be homemade with a really good flavor. When the sandwich showed up, dang it was good!!! The sourdough bread was toasted (and slightly crumbly) but had great flavor. It's a really nice bar & grill tucked away behind the Barstow Walmart. It has a steady flow of locals that can really appreciate the high value of the place. The menu is limited but what they do offer is delicious. The prices are fair and the decor is welcoming. I recommend the bar to anyone looking for a good place to hangout while in Barstow. read more

We were originally going to go to Burger Den which is formerly the first Del Taco, but that was closed. We decided to try this place. Never again! After we sat down our server came to take our drink orders, the ice tea was flavorless. Ordered the Frisco burger and onion rings. The burger was so greasy that I'm certain it will not have a hard time leaving my body. The onion rings were okay. Five minutes after sitting down music started playing and it was so loud you couldn't hold a conversation. The photos posted of the menu are out dated. Glad this place was open. Came here with my son and his friend after looking up places to be able to eat in Barstow. Not an easy task with so many plces closed due to COVID 19. Came here and a little shocked. The bar was open, but everything else was closed off inside. We were directed to the rear of the building where the dining patio was. Got a table and the waitress asked what we wanted to drink. She quickly came back with our dtinks and the menus. We placed our orders and the food came out quickly. A quiet crowd early in the evenng, but as one couple left after a few minutes a larger group came in. They were a bit louder and rowdier. I kind of got the notion that this group frequents this place often as they seemed to know some other people there. The waitress had to go over once to get them to calm down some. The food was good. They had no problem making some adjustments to our order. Drinks are drinks. We had a couple of beers each. Went there expecting something like in the earlier Yelp reviews. But the pandemic kind of has reuined this for everyone. I hope I'll be able to go back again in the near future and give them a 5 star rating. read more
