I've been a Pita Pit fan since I lived in San Diego in the early 2000's and there were a few around town. I never realized there was one in Sacramento until recently, so whenever I'm in the area, I make a point to grab lunch here. While there's a menu of pre configured options, I always go for a simple "build your own" veggie pita. Lots of fresh produce options and adding avocado is just 99 cents. I find their veggie quality outstanding and the pita wrap a filling bargain. I do wish the pita was a little thicker but overall, it's still enjoyable. Service is always very friendly and quick. Partner wanted to grab something different for dinner. Never had a Pita before and the lady working the from was super friendly and suggested i try a build your own or rice bowl. I opted for the cheesesteak pita minus the sauce. The food came out hot and fresh. The meat was lean, and mixed well with the bell peppers and onions. I stopped in here over the weekend for a quick lunch while I was working. I tend to forget about this place since it's kind of tucked in, and near busy intersections. I like to come here because they have a lot of vegetarian options, but they have plenty of options with meat as well. I ordered a classic pita with falafel. It was good, flavorful, and well seasoned. I am really sad. I go to Pita pit in Grants Pass Oregon with my bestie and I have always loved it. I finally ordered it here in Sacramento after telling hubby how good it is. We ordered 2 pitas. A Diet Coke and a side is falafel We did not recieve a soda. We did not recieve our sides of dressings. "Ranch and basalmic dressing." The side of falafel is supposed to come with tahini and feta on top of spinach. It was 4 undercooked falafel on dry spinach. No sauce and no feta. Casual little restaurant with plenty of seating available. I was lucky enough to meet the husband and wife owners who provided exceptional customer service. They were very friendly and generous. I tried the Super Greek rolled specialty pita. It was double protein Wednesday for an extra .99cents, so I did that. The roll had perfect proportions of meat to veggies. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. It was a healthy, flavorful and filling dinner! I loved that this was not a messy meal. It was well wrapped and easy to eat. However, still not very filling. SUPER bland. They give you 2 teeny tiny little cups of sauce and dressing. You will need to ask for more, and it still won't be enough. Clean and efficient store. Lunch here yesterday, I ordered Take Out in the store. Plenty of parking in the lot. Located on at a corner of a major street so easy to to find ways into the lot. Chicken Cesar in a wheat pita is one of my favorites. I appreciate how this alone is a filling for lunch and so tasty. The ingredients were fresh, the chicken generous, and the great soft. Healthy, consistent and affordable meals await you at Pita Pit near sac state. I'm pretty sure I've written a review here before, because I come in nearly weekly, but not seeing it so figured I write this out. I'm usually there late on Thursdays. Parking is easy, often lots of spaces in front (ignore the signs). Seating is comfortable and you can watch them make your wrap or bowl right there. I find it one of the most affordable fast casual meals you can get in the region. Food is always very fresh here, even the lettuce. I get a build your own, but they have lots of good options with formal recipes. All the ingredients laid out for you to see and choose from, including veggies galore and sauces (less healthy). I like the falafel, which is grilled with a slightly tangy oil that is pretty tasty. I get a tiny bit of hummus, so little they no longer charge me extra for it (avo is extra too). The tzatsiki is really good too. The owners are very nice people, and provide good training to the nearby students who sometimes cover shifts. Endlessly varied flavors and textures on the cheap await you at Pita Pit! read more

Had them back when they 1st opened here and randomly came back and now having kids with us might be a challenge. As they randomly change what they like and what day they will, but today was a good day. The ladies helped us with the menu and told us even with the pre named sandwiches you can still make your own and change things up. The employees who helped were great from telling us all about the menu and things you can do to your pocket sandwich, and being patient with me ordering(kids 1st time trying), luckily no one was behind me in line. Both kids had there own combination and they both ate the whole thing. My wife and I were happy and said mark this in the book, as we found a place we all can eat it. They have a lot of fresh vegetables and they also have white and wheat pita breads. The menu has some pre named ones for you, but you can go off and do your own thing and/or even switch theres up a bit. Parking can be tight as the plaza has some extra small spots and then some regular spots too, but its usually busy during the weekends and dinner time weekdays. After looking at the selection at a nearby furniture store, my girlfriend decided to stop in at Pita Pit as it seemed to be the best and healthiest chose in the general area. Neither one of us had every been here and at first looking through the menu can be kinda confusing. I think the owner (or that's who I think it was) saw it staring at the menu with that deer in the headlights look, and asked if it was our first time at Pita Pit. To which we replied yes, and he said welcome and told us how ordering worked. Basically you picked your choice of meat first, and then picked white or wheat bread, then you could select any of the choices of cheeses and vegetables, and then any of the sauces. Knowing that now made our decision A LOT easier! My girlfriend chose a regular grilled chicken pita on wheat bread and I got the regular sized prime rib on whole wheat with roman lettuce, spinach, feta cheese, tomatoes, olives, and jalapeños. I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was, and am glad we made the choice to finally visit this place. I would definitely come back again. read more

Not enough or any Tzatziki sauce when you order off an app. I have ordered 3 separate times off the same app and each time there has been pretty much no tzatziki the last two times I asked for extra. This past visit I ordered the Chicken Cesar (chicken and bacon) in a wheat pita. They grill the meat in front of you and you choose from a huge selection of fresh produce. Like subway, you let them know which toppings and sauce you would like. I opted for lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, cucumbers, jalapeños, pepperoncini, and Swiss cheese with the Chipotle-BBQ sauce. It was so good! Next time, I will ask them to cook the chicken into the sauce so it picks up more flavor. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I have been coming here for awhile. The food is good, but the owners are terrible and don't care about their employees. I've seen the husband owner put his hands on an employee and slap their hand to move out of his way. His wife is probably scared of him to say anything. He constantly is yelling and stressed out around the restaurant. The wife is not so bad but she doesn't seem to care for her employees much either as i've noticed. I love this place! It's a small, quick-service lunch spot, perfect for a quick bite. I love the variety and the fact that the meats are cooked to order in front of you. Very clean and quaint! I think what seals the deal though is the service. The man who works there (I would assume he's the owner) is always very kind! Even though it's quick-service, I can feel his passion for the food and restaurant; it truly makes all the difference and sets the place apart from most places where there isn't quite an "experience" beyond the food.
