    Turkey & cheese on wheat

Very low key chill vibe. The Dominator on Dutch crunch is mouth watering and the Grand Slam on sourdough is yum! Both are hot sandwiches. The simple turkey on wheat was delicious as well. The staff take your order and make the sandwiches while you wait which was sufficient time. They check on you as well. Awesome customer service! Definitely coming back!

Special with chicken capicola and pesto

To the girl with the blue hair, you are amazing my sandwich was so damn fire. Your customer service was so so good but nothing compares to the sandwich you made. Best sandwich I've ever had here.

Sorry I wanted to love this veggie sandwich on Dutch crunch more. But the bread was so sweet. Too sweet for a sandwich bread. And I incorrectly thought it would come with avocado and it didn't. When you are ordering, you have to order whatever toppings you want - which is like duh! But I used to get this sandwich all the time in the before times and I thought it always came with avocado. Anyway, the good news is that they are very generous with cheese - 3 slices. And they have good leaf lettuce, not the shredded crap you get at some delis. And the sandwich is huge. My sandwich was $13 - more than I remember but again it has been a long time.

I am a sandwich girly pop through and through, you can catch me munching on a little sammy every day of the week. The sandwich I got from this place today only confirmed my obsession. Me, my sister, and her gf walked in and we were immediately greeted by the two friendly employees at the front. The first employee was the one who made our sandwiches, they had some cute little piercings and a great attitude. Our sandwiches were absolutely made with care, they put their whole badussy into making our food. The second employee was this nice little redhead gal who gave Disney princess vibes. I used to live in this area so I'm surprised I hadn't been here before. I will be coming back for lunch once my semester begins, as the location is right outside of Sac State's campus. Such a great place to grab food.

Usually I love this spot but today I went in for a build your own sandwich and they misheard me and made a different sandwich instead. Tried using Apple Pay but it wasn't working so I said I'd be back with my physical card. I come back and the place is closed. It was 2:20pm and they're open til 6pm on Tuesdays. No notes on the door or anything. Waited 10 minutes outside before leaving for beach hut deli. I feel like if I said I was coming back why close the shop early and waste a sandwich I said I was coming back for? Again usually love this spot I come all the time but this and some of the attitude form the two woman in the shop today left a sour taste in my mouth. The young man who often works when I come in is always wonderful though! Just hope next time they leave note or change hours to reflect accurate closing times.

Shared parking lot. Clean interior with little indoor and outdoor seating. Fairly busy around the lunch hour on a weekday. None of the staff wear masks. Service was okay, though a little inconsistent. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time; one staff was working cashier, and two others focused on preparing the food. The staff included plenty of napkins in my to-go bag, but my colleague who ordered before me didn't get any. I had the Babe with Dutch bread. Flavor-wise, it was fine. The cream cheese and cranberry sauce were spilling out of the sides, which isn't the most appetizing. The Dutch bread is really good - the top was nice and crunchy. The sandwiches, whether you get hot or cold, will be difficult to eat because (1) there's so much filling that you won't be able to taste everything in one bite, and (2) the wetness from the filling makes the bottom bun soggy. They cut the sandwich into two pieces, but not the wrapping paper, so you'll probably end up holding the sandwich directly with your hands. Best of luck to y'all without making a mess or filling slipping out of the sandwich. After tax, $12-13 for a signature sandwich alone. When they ask you if you would like chips and a drink, it's not part of a combo - everything is charged separately. My colleague bought chips and a drink, which were $2-3 each.

Man what a fresh amazing sub sandwich. I sometimes forget how much better tasting a sandwich is from a place like this over the big franchise places. Had the Big Papa Al sandwich. Ham, prosciutto, salami, provolone & Italian dressing. Add some banana peppers and the secret sauce and I have a hell of a slammin' sandwich. Grab an RC to wash it down!

The service is very good the place is very clean and feels fresh. The sandwiches here are always bussing and the girl who works here with the glasses is very sweet and cool and chill and funny. Would come here again

    Dominator

Took about 30 minutes to get two sandwiches made. I requested no cheese on my sandwich and got melted cheese on it!! Had to remove part of the turkey and all of the bacon to get the cheese off.

The Foul Ball w/ provolone cheese on a sweet roll. No veggies but lot's of sauce Mmmm!

I've actually started to prefer having fewer choices, especially when I know the products have been carefully selected. I can't think of anything I've bought here that has disappointed me. The employees are professional and take their jobs seriously. It feels like the kind of grocery store that still believes it has to earn your business by providing quality products and good service. It's definitely more expensive than a typical grocery store, but I don't mind paying a little more for the experience. For me, it's worth it, and I'm glad Sacramento still has a place like this.

All kinds of groceries, meat, produce, lots and lots of imported items. My sister up in Redding loves this Italian flower, and I always get her a bag when she needs one. They have lots of different olive oil, and other Italian imports. Before my mom passed away, I would buy her cans of imported anchovies here. Their deli is top notch. Loads and loads of cheeses, cold cuts, domestic and imported. You need it, you can probably find it here. Their sandwiches are amazing. My favorite sandwich is the Corti special. It's huge, and it's fun. You pick the bread, you pick the veggies, you pick the condiments, they pick the meat. I can never finish a whole sandwich, I can only get through half at a time .. My favorite deli in San Francisco before they closed, was "Panelli Brothers, and they sold what was called, a "Panelli whatever.". Same concept. The special takes me right back to that. I will continue to shop here. Thank you.

This is a luxury. $20/large sandwich. Life isn't cheap. Things like this is a treat. So I took my son out to lunch. I asked to change the turkey for ham on a club sandwich, which already has ham, and is the cheaper meat.... and was told I would have to build the sandwich from scratch for $2 more. I wasn't asking for more meat, I wasn't asking to ADD meat, I was asking to simply change the more expensive meat for the cheaper lunch meat. Cashier standoffish, definitely didn't care about customer service, just a flat No build it yourself. Ok. No ty. Again, already a $20 sandwich. No thank you. When the sandwiches were ready, after at least 5 peoplewho came in behind us, another girl called out my name, but incorrect, no big deal. I stated mine in question form and she looked at me, rolled her eyes, and handed it to the cashier who handed it to me. I dont know what it was today, but even my child said it. He said everyone working was just "hella rude" and made him uncomfortable to want to return. Honestly, me too. Sandwiches, amazing. Everytime. Service? I could pass on the attitude. No accommodation or explanation to customers for a request, only an uncharge? Again, I could pass on that. The last two beat out the first everyday. My to-go order is the Hornet on a Dutch crunch roll with everything on it except mustard. Make it a combo with chips and a drink, and you'll have an incredible lunch. The ambiance is different from other sandwich spots in midtown. The chairs and tables are older and worn, and it's small inside, but it's also inside an old house that was converted into a restaurant. That alone makes this place unique. People hang out inside or outside with friends and enjoy the vibes. There's a real sense of community that the Sandwich Spot brings along with uniquely crafted sandwiches. The restaurant is in a really cool old Victorian house, and the staff were super friendly. The interior was clean and looked like a nice place to dine in, but I ended up taking my order to go. I ordered the #19 with turkey, prosciutto, avocado, and swiss on a dutch crunch roll. The bread had just gone into the oven, so we had to wait about 10 minutes, but I can't complain because it was baked fresh to order. Overall, I thought the sandwich was very good, but honestly not quite as amazing as people online had made it out to be. It was definitely good, but I don't know if I'd be dying to go back when I think Ike's, Mr. Pickle's, Corti Bros, and maybe even Nugget or Sprouts make more interesting sandwiches. To me, those places use slightly higher quality ingredients as well, though maybe I just didn't order the best sandwich here. Overall, it was a good sandwich and a good experience. My expectations were probably just a little too high. I wouldn't be dying to come back but also wouldn't say no if someone wanted to go there for lunch.
