Excellent quality, generous portions and a very good price. Freshly prepared, a huge selection and full of flavor. We ordered a variety of different things, the chicken shawarma, beef katfa, falafel salad and two soups. We could not finish all of the food between three people, there was enough to eat a second meal for two of us. Service was quick and efficient, friendly and the place was very clean. I walk in and the owner, Brandon, shouts across the store; "what's goin' on buddy? Usual?". When I reply yes, he proceeds to make me the greatest falafel in town; in a wrap, everything (veggie-wise) but olives, and spicy hummus. I had never had falafel before, I had never even had Mediterranean food, before I stumbled into Pita Way one day before work because a friend was talking it up. I'm not sure what Pita Way means or implies, but I can say that I have been a regular from that first visit on. I've lived in three different cities since then and I still drag my ass up to Clarkston for some Pita Way. I also recommend the Hummus. I've even been to events this place as catered and it was equally as fantastic. The only downside is that it can be a little expensive if you aren't careful, but keep in mind this is NOT A CHAIN, you're supporting a local business owner when you eat here. Keep that in mind when you're paying a little extra for your extremely delicious and well worth it meal. It is not only vegetarian friendly. It is the vegetarian friendliest. read more

Pita Way is the best! chicken kafta or tawook is the way to go.. I've also heard great things about their beef kafta. They use FRESH ingredients and you get to choose two different sauces to use.. Whether hummus, baba, chipotle, garlic, ranch, caesar, etc.. I recommend garlic and hummus or baba and chipotle but be prepared to have garlic breath the rest of the day. Their hummus is amazing (you'll have some leftover to take home) and their fries are also simply delicious..Their Pita Way salad is awesome if you're in the salad mood.. After issues with 3 different catering orders, I reached out to the manager. My last order was not only wrong, they didn't include the extras I paid for. This resulted in me not having enough food for the party I was hosting. When I spoke with the manager the customer service was less than satisfactory. I asked for the owner, Brandon, to call me. I was advised I would receive a call from him. I have followed up 3 more times, and still have not received a return call. They are growing too fast. They need to spend more time focusing on the quality of the food and the customer service. read more

The food is ok. I'm not a fan of the tabbouli but I do like the fattoush salad although it had way too much dressing. The rice is hit or miss. The last few times I ate here I got really sick. This place is a really awesome addition for Clarkston. With an owner that will often serve you personally, it's got a nice community feel to it. More importantly, it has great food. Both consistent and tasty, this is a great place to stop a eat either for lunch or before an event at Pine Knob. You won't go wrong with a kafta or shawarma. But, if this is your first time there just ask the person helping you. Everyone there can suggest something they think you might like, I promise! Salads are also really fantastic. There's not a whole lot of non-chain choices in Clarkston as far as both casual eatery's and restaurants. I mention specially for casual eating because there are a couple of good places to eat, but they're yuppified and expensive, along with feeling a little too try hard. There is a new Pita Way opening by my work near Great Lakes Crossing Mall and my co-workers and I have been very keen on trying it out. Since it wasn't open yet we decided to take the drive up to their Sashabaw location to try them out. That was a very good decision. As this was our first time in the store the people behind the counter were very nice and patient with us explaining everything. We all ended up getting the chicken tawook wrap. The wrap was very tasty. The chicken was flavorful and very moist. I didn't get any sides but my co-worker did, pita chips and hummus. The girl behind the counter said it was the best hummus she had ever had and would even say that if she wasn't being paid to say it. My co-worker said the same thing. I had never had hummus before so he let me try some. I must say that it was very good. There was some paprika on it that gave it a good hint of spice. I would definitely eat here again and am excited for the new location to open. Next time I think I will try the lamb. read more

Awesome Mediterranean fast food take on classics. Pita way is similar to a chipotle or Moes, where you choose a pita wrap, quesadilla format, or rice bowl. However, there a million more toppings and sauces to choose from. I had a pita wrap with their chicken tawook, and million of their toppings and sauces. It was delicious!!! The chicken was fresh with wonderful grill marks. My only complain would be the texture of the pita. It was a bit too thin and had a dry texture to it. Besides that, it was an awesome experience. I have been coming here off and on since they opened. While they have very friendly customer service and decent prices I am consistently disappointed. I find their meat to be on the dry side. This is consistent with every time I am in here. We keep coming back because until recently there hasn't been anything similar close to home. Their large platter you can get with a coupon for 19.99 which is an awesome price but we would frequent them more often of they improved the moisture of the meat.
