We wanted to like this place. Ordered on line, went to the drive through to pick up because we didn't realize there was a front entrance that was open. There was only one car in line so didn't think it would be a long wait. We waited a total of 20mins. The food was cold, burgers were cooked rare and the bacon was chewy. We ordered medium well burgers but the inside was literally pink, almost red. The burger grossed me out I tried to eat around the sides where the meat normally is cooked more but nah, still rare. The onion rings were good and would probably have been really good had they been hot. The fries would have been good too if they were hot. The milk shakes were good tho. The drink that comes with the combos is like a drink for a toddler. Comparable to the size they give you on airplanes. But what was the worst is that the food literally went right through us. Stomach rumbling. I was in the bathroom all night and again in the morning. My body ferociously rejected this food. Also, I don't know if it was an encampment or a bunch of tweekers hanging out right in front. This is why I didn't realize there was an actual front entrance that was open. Literally tweekers all over, poorly lit, we did not feel safe. I frequent this lil strip mall all the time for other restaurants, even the Granite Expo n have no issues...but where this business sits and the closed down one next to it, it is super dark and disgustingly dirty. The owners of this strip mall should be ashamed of themselves. Won't be going back. Been patiently waiting for this place to open and have to say... the wait was worth it! It has a vast menu, something for everyone but obviously if you hit up a joint called "Five Star Burger," you're in it for the burger. I started with the "Five Star Burger," 3 juicy patties of fresh beef, cooked to order with the standard Puritan toppings. If you were to compare it to other burgers there's only one that even comes close and that's In 'n' Out. Five Star glides effortlessly through the stratosphere looking down on the others such as Burger King and McDonalds and uses Carl's Jr. and Sonic to draft around In 'n' Out though. It's like In 'n' Out on steroids! A 4x4 from In 'n' Out is eclipsed by the awesomeness of the Five Star at only 3 patties. Just delicious!!! Can't wait to jump into the rest of the burgers in the menu. Ordered my 3 year old the popcorn chicken and even her discerning little palate scoffed a good handful of them down along with the amazingly seasoned, amazingly crispy, hot and fresh curly fries. And those were just sides! Sides, just as hot and fresh as the mains! So its Friday and I'm like damn another salad I want something delicious. So I came across this place again. I think they changed owners. Anyway I looked through the reviews and someone suggedted the pastrami sandwich. I love a good pastrami but they just dont exist in this area. Well I was pleasantly surprised. I would suggest this is the only way to order it because inless they foegot to add extra meat this is the minimal sufficiemt amount of meat. As a native So. Cal foodie my expectation. Is that tjere be an ample amount of pastrami on the Sami...thats why you ordered it. It comes with meat mustard and pickles rhe meat should be the star of a good pastrami sandwich. The sandwich is not large but it will do if its loaded up with pastrami. I'm going to try one more time and order double the amount of meat when im ready for my next cheat day. There should be meat oozing out of the Sami not left over bread without enough meat. I did appreciate that they provided rhe little yellow peppers so I am willing to pay the pricefor a good pastrami whatever it takes and all the flavors and correct temperature were there. Before they changed the name of this place the food was good. Burgers had a flame grilled flavor. Recently, I had a burger from here and I couldn't even finish it because it was so bad. The drive thru person then told me it would be another $1.75 for fries. Tonight my family Door Dashed 5 Star Burger for the first time and it did not disappoint. We all had a variety of burgers and sides. They were all very good. Even the fried zucchini traveled well.
