The dough was thin, toasty, and non oil. So well balanced and delicious. Friendly service too!

    Smooshed poorly delivered pie

Ordered a large pie for delivery via the Slice app; it arrived smooshed into one half of the box. When I called to see what could be done to right the matter, I was offered a refund if I handed the pie back after waiting for another driver, or a 15% discount on my next order. Since this was my first experience with Lucille's, I have no intention of ordering from them ever again. That being said, the pie was tasty if a bit messy; small wonder it sloshed around in transit.

I've ordered from Pizza By Lucille's a couple of times via Ubereats. The first time I ordered from there, I got a personal margherita pie and a grandma pie. Both were good, but definitely did not blow me away. I didn't even think it was worth it to leave a review after that experience. Today, I ordered their MVP (marinara, vodka, pesto) pie and holy moly was it great! I'm kicking myself for not ordering more. It was crunchy, saucy, and had a nice layer of mozz. I gave their margherita pie another spin today and I think it tasted even more mediocre next to the MVP. I've also tried their garlic knots twice and they are potent! Feels like a clove of garlic hits you in the face after each bite. You can definitely tell there's no artificial stuff in there. Looking forward to my next MVP pie!

I ordered a half and half pizza. Pepperoni and breaded chicken. This is the second time my pizza was messed up. This place is too expensive to be messing up. And by the time the pizza was delivered the place is closed. Like they gave me a pizza that was already made like this and said fuck it that's close enough.

The pizza is actually really good. Definitely tastey fresh and has flavor I would give them 5 stars easy. However I ordered a pie to go half cheese half roni and Italian sausage and to me the sausage needed to be better cooked and smaller pieces. The pepperoni was great and there was a lot of it too. The second big pit may have been my fault but it was soggy when I got home. The cheese had slid all the way off which was probably my fault but the pie it's self needs to be cooked longer. I like a stiff pie what can I say ;-). Next time I'll just ask for it to be crispy and I'm hoping that will do the trick But I cashed out a nice size pie for $23 Awesome addition the the neighborhood There's two stools to sit on but there really isn't any space at all. As soon as there's 5 people ordering it's feeling a little pack ratty. It's literally in and out

The pizza was delicious !!! The sauce was perfect not too acidic or tomato-y. It was light not overpacked with cheese. Just right ALSO delivery was amazing. The delivery guy texted me and kept me updated when he was on his way. Loved it! Will definitely be ordering from here again

Brought the pizza next door where we ordered hard kombucha and a cucumber martini. What a perfect lunch on a summer Saturday!

I'm updating my review because when my first experience with Pizza by Lucilles did NOT go well, the manager reached out and offered to make it right. This shows me that they care about their business and strive to provide great customer service. So, onto the food... My biggest gripe from my 1st pizza was the price in relation to the quality. I got a Grandma's Pie w/ Roni and it wasn't great (sparse toppings, undercooked dough). It wasn't the worst but it also wasn't worth the $30 I paid for it. My 2nd pie was a totally different story, bountiful toppings and cooked through with no issues--Definitely worth 3 more stars. And again, the service was wonderful. I'm excited to try more from the menu.

Pizza pie with the cheese stuck to the box
    LaToya D.

Pizza is good. But I ordered delivery and the pizza came with the cheese all stuck to the top of the box. Aren't they supposed to use those little white things to protect the pizza? Wish I had seen this before I gave them a tip!

It was oddly a Sunday and we were actually walking a few blocks to meet others for dinner, but I came across this place and couldn't help but stop for a slice...as a snack! And I'm glad I did! it restored my faith in NY pizza, reminded me that NY pizza could never taste like any normal NY pizza even if they said it was NY pizza, but this was definitely NY PIZZA! We got a slice of pepperoni and a slice of Margherita and it just melted in my mouth. The flavors, the perfection of the thin crust, the seasoning -- I wish I lived much closer! We also got garlic knots which were awesome also! I enjoyed the sitting at the counter experience and having an ice cold coke with my slice. It was the best snack before my next dinner meal and I cannot complain at all! This is definitely one of my favorite pizza places in NY!

Pizza is ready in 15 minutes, which in my case was less time for me to walk from hotel and pick it up. This location had two storefronts- one for pizza by the slice and the other for the full pie. Full pie line is shorter though still formidable. Line by the slice stretches around the corner. Pizza itself is all right. Toppings are pretty average and crust is chewy as it should be. Little bit too hard on my opinion. As a tourist - it was a must try. However - I wouldn't do it again.

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. I'd love to see more restaurants creatively use these kinds of spaces in the future.

To start with the good: the arancini were perfectly passable, and the Sicilian pie was enjoyed by all. I would describe it as more of a Detroit style actually, with a super crispy crust and nice textural contrast. On the other hand, we did not enjoy the seasonal vegetable pie or the nepo pie. I generally really like this sort of no-cheese, umami-heavy pizza, but the nepo was so salty! I'm not sure what specific ingredient was missing, but missing it was. My hopes for a recreation of the rossa pie I enjoyed at Farina prior to their closure were dashed. As for the vegetable pie, the vegetables tasted like the frozen veggies one might find in what was once marketed as a "TV dinner". It was a shame, since the sauce of the white pie was otherwise pretty good.

RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
