I received a burnt pizza, I filled out their form in hopes to have someone reach out and they still have yet to contact me back. Our pizza was baked on top of other burnt toppings and it was incredibly bitter tasting due to all the black charcoal bits all over my pizza. I'm disappointed that no one even attempted to contact me when I gave all my information. 35 dollars for this pizza to not even be edible.

Pizza king is a popular Jeffersonville Indiana pizza establishment that locals of that area me the Lousiville, Kentucky area have developed a following for. Being from Lousiville I'm not really in the area that pizza king resides in too often. So my availability to try this establishment out isn't too often available. I did finally get to try this place ironically while hosting a lock in for my daughters 8th grade graduation class. We knew we wanted pizza for the all night event and when I called the person who was gonna grab my pizza order they said they where in Jeffersonville I made the call to try pizza king. The staff and worked were very friendly as we places an extremely large order. The pickup went smooth and they had our large order ready on time and accurately. The pizza is thin slices and square cut (I've heard this Called Saint Louis style and Louisville style). We sample the big three toppings of cheese, pepperoni and sausage. Everyone appeared to be a fan and enjoy the pizza. The small square slices (a personal preference for me anyways) made it perfect for 20 plus 14 year olds to stop by and grab a snack at various points of the night or early morning. For me I enjoyed the pizza. The pizza. Had a solid flavor and some good sauce. I can see why they have a nice little local following. Overall this was an enjoyable and good experience. I'll have to stop in and dine inside one day while visiting Jeffersonville. They did a great job catering for our large 8th grade gym Lock in event.

If you are not from Indiana you are probably not familiar with Pizza King "An Indiana Tradition"! Pizza King and I go back about 40 years! Enjoying their pizza as a kid and eventually working there as a wild eyed teenager and now continuing to enjoy it as a middle aged man! Thin and crispy is what Pizza King is. If your idea of pizza is any type of deep dish then this is not for you. The floured salty crust is the beginning of what makes this pizza what it is. Next let's talk about toppings - A major pizza chain champions "Fresh Ingredients" - Pizza King has developed a great Pizza by using canned, dehydrated, bulk boxed ingredients. The sauce is quite simply tomato paste watered down enough to spread. Pepperoni at Pizza King is not slices of round disc, it is finely chopped/diced/ground pieces of pepperoni. Peppers are similar in size but they start out as dehydrated chips. Mushrooms are canned, bacon is like the pepperoni. Don't misunderstand these are some of the things that make Pizza King what it is, AWESOME! The topper of all is the cutting of the pizza is in little squares. If your a PK fan you will know what I mean about the corner pieces being the best of the whole pizza. Hard for me to be totally impartial on this review because this is true comfort food to me as eating this pizza reminds me of so many times, events, things and people and there in is one element that can make food, any food special. Go have a Pizza King Pizza and celebrate the King!

I've been eating Pizza King since I was a baby Hoosier, and I've continued that trend into my late-thirties Kentuckian phase. These pies really are a "royal treat" and this location has stayed true to the original recipe and style I grew up eating - well, they've moved across the street recently from their original location (big upgrade), but you get the idea. The pizzas are savory and herbaceous with a hint of sweetness in the sauce, and I've always received friendly, fast service and consistent quality. For newbies: the pizza is thin, the toppings are chopped and the cuts are square, so order accordingly.

Let me start by saying I love pizza . And pizza king is an Indiana favorite . It is located in Jeffersonville about 5 mins from my house . I remember visiting here when I was a kid . First thing is the pizza . It is out of this world. Always hot and fresh and served with a smile. I've never gotten bad pizza let alone bad service from this place . The location they are in now is across the street from Moby dick right off of 10th Street in a rather new building. It is very clean and always in tip top shape ! I have even asked them to turn cartoons on for my Children as we enjoyed dinner and they did with absolutely no hesitation !! Second thing is the menu !! EXPLORE IT !! MIX IT UP !!! I ventured out and got a Texas BBQ strombli. Omg it was delish !! Perfect amount of BBQ sauce , slivers of grilled onions and sausage and peppers on a Vienna loaf . I was not at all disappointed. My family enjoyed the beer cheese and pretzel bread sticks. Lastly .. the main thing that will run me out of a place quicker than anything is a nasty restroom , but their restroom was in tip top shape as well as the rest of the restaurant. I will definitely be revisiting this Jeffersonville favorite for some of the best pizza in town ! Rather it be for lunch or dinner . Pizza is good anytime of the day right ?

After three years in Louisville, I finally ventured over to Indiana to try Pizza King. My wife has been hyping it up from many childhood visits, so I was excited to give it a shot. We ordered a 14" pepperoni pizza for both of us to share. It was plenty of food and we took a few pieces home with us. The pizza is a thin crust and is cut into smaller rectangle slices, which makes it easy to share and makes sense for groups. Pizza pros: great flavor, good crisp on the crust, diced pepperoni was bountiful throughout. Pizza cons: very greasy in the middle, crust slightly burnt on the outer rim. The service was fast and friendly. I've heard rumors and rumblings that the New Albany location is better and has a train that brings your drinks to you, but I still enjoyed the experience. There are plenty of better pizza options in Louisville, but if your looking for the greasy comfort of an old fashioned pie at a decent price, this could be the spot for you.

We live a bit out, so the pizza might be cold if we order delivery or even pick up, but it's still good! The only negative is that it is a bit more expensive than a couple of other places we get pizza, but we still find it's worth it once in a while when we're craving their thin style pizza!

At 12:30 in the afternoon the place was a ghost town, not a single person in the restaurant and 1 in the bar. The 3 members of the staff were standing around talking, I ordered online and had a 12:35 pick-up time. I had asked for some Parmesan and plates and one of the girls kind of snapped "we don't have any plates"! The girl at the register said to wait as she believed they did, she did come back with some. I got my food and drove directly back to my office, which according to Google is 5.4 miles from the restaurant. The food was not even what I would call luke warm, and I also did not get what I ordered on one of the pizzas. I have to also say that even though the sausage, peperoni and olives I would expect to have some saltiness to it, you better have plenty of water handy!!! With all that being said a restaurant on 10th st at 12:30 in the afternoon empty, should have probably told me something being a first time customer. I would also say 2 Med pizzas and a sandwich for $72 is pretty crazy!

Very cute house limited parking very unassuming neighbourhood to a out-of-town. Client service was fantastic. Everyone was so pleasant. Food selection was great. We wanted to try a little bit of everything so we got the meatballs, the Arancini balls, oysters, kids pasta and three pizzas. The meatballs came with its own pita homemade delicious. Honestly, it would come back just for that. Of course had to get the tiramisu for dessert even though we were so full and it was so good. Tucked away on Frankfort Avenue, it's a little off the beaten path, and parking can be an adventure. There's a small lot by the restaurant with overflow parking further down the hill. Somehow we managed to snag the only open space right outside the front door, which felt like winning a very specific Louisville lottery. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the place was already buzzing. It was packed with locals, which is usually a good sign. While our table was being bussed, three different employees checked to make sure we were being helped. We let them know we were just a little early and waiting on our table, but it spoke volumes about the attentiveness of the staff. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighbourhood pizza spot: relaxed, lively, and unpretentious. The soundtrack quietly floating through the speakers was a crate-digger's delight, full of songs that have been sampled throughout hip-hop history. Hearing Lynn Collins' Think (About It) while waiting for dinner felt particularly apt following the recent passing of Rob Base. The song's iconic break became the foundation of It Takes Two, one of hip-hop's most recognisable records, and it was a nice reminder of how deeply great music connects generations. To start, we ordered the Olives & Togarashi, a bowl of Castelvetrano olives coated in a wonderfully aromatic blend of spices with notes of fennel, sesame and citrus. My son tried his first olive and was genuinely shocked by the flavour. He'll come around eventually. For the main event, we ordered three large pizzas: the DOP Margherita, the Funghi and the Original Sting. The DOP Margherita showcases imported buffalo mozzarella from Campania alongside basil and San Marzano tomatoes. The Funghi is loaded with an incredible blend of mushrooms, taleggio, pecorino cream and mozzarella. The Original Sting combines soppressata, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and spicy local honey in a sweet-and-savoury combination that completely works. Now, let's talk about the crust. It is perfect. Pillowy and light, yet substantial enough to give you that satisfying chew. The wood-fired oven creates just the right amount of charred bubbling around the edges. Our server offered house-made ranch and other dipping sauces for the crust, but we politely declined. This pizza doesn't need any enhancers. The balance of flavours across all three pies was exceptional. I've eaten pizza all over the world, and Pizza Lupo belongs in that conversation. It really is that good. We had a plan: sample all three pizzas and leave just enough room to split the tiramisu. Thankfully, we stuck to it. The tiramisu was fresh, light and beautifully balanced. Not overly sweet, nicely moist, with just enough espresso flavour coming through. It was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. The service was fast without feeling rushed, friendly without feeling scripted, and genuine throughout the evening. We left full, not bloated, and happy as spring lambs, already talking about what we'd order next time. We'll defo be back. Cheers, Sam

My book club met at Impellizzeri's this week, and upon discovering several of us have dietary limitations, the server and kitchen staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and ensure our ongoing health. A wonderful kitchen wizard ventured out into the dining room to talk to us personally, and confirmed that all the traditional pizza doughs, pastas, and red sauces are vegan. He offered to create a custom pasta dish with a variety of vegetables (spaghetti pomarola with garlic, spinach, and mushrooms), and ensured that the breadsticks that accompany the pasta dish (traditionally made with garlic butter and cheese) were vegan, prepared in a separate location in the kitchen to ensure no dairy contamination. For those with other food allergies and intolerances they ensured every detail was correct, even noticing that a pizza that was inadvertently prepared with an offending food item, and remaking it before it was even finished baking. Pricing is incredibly reasonable for the quantity and the truly excellent service, which is what truly made the experience special. My pasta dish was tasty. Is it the best pasta I've ever had? No - but it wasn't trying to be. What Impellizzeri's does well is serve good food at reasonable prices, in a location and with people who have an eye for detail and a passion for excellent customer service. Well done.

This is a terrific deal, plus it makes us get out of our rut at eating at our favorite place all the time. I will be honest, I have not been to Impellizerri's in years. We've been to Italy and Italian Switzerland many times and love their very thin, fold in your hand pies which have fresh tomato sauce and flavorful local cheese. I was hopeful- Impelliizeris had a thin crust option! Unfortunately, it was as disappointing as I remember. The crust is too doughy, the sauce is bland and the cheese was thick and tasteless. We didn't even eat our leftovers. I don't understand why so many like this, perhaps I should order something else if I return. Just a no from us!
