After two separate occasions of visiting a nearby brewery, Pizza LA was on my drive path home, and pizza always sounded good after drinking. My love for pizza had no boundaries, and I always enjoyed exploring new parlors, so this was one I didn't know about until now thanks to the Yelp app. Honestly, pizza should be its own food group. With so many pizza joints in L.A., would this one be a slice above its competitors!? With your choice of sauce (mango habanero in this case), each piece was meaty, moist, and drowned in the sauce. In-bone was the only option whenever you ate chicken wings! Everything I ate was really good but at the same time nothing special; just very good food. Pizza LA is small pizza place at Atwater Village neighborhood of LA. It's located in a small plaza along San Fernando road. They only serve To-Go. I ordered a thin crust medium Margherita pizza. I was surprised that it tastes good enough to satisfy my hunger. It's best when you it eat while hot. Staff was nice and professional. Indoor atmosphere was chill but space is extremely small. Overall, I enjoyed my pizza. Muy delicioso!

What do you do after spending a no break/4 hours round trip of exploring the Angeles Crest Highway? You search for a good spot to eat. I randomly took the San Fernando rd. exit turning right and found this spot in the middle of a strip mall of restaurants and neighborhood shops close to the exit. Small takeout place and thought they were a chain but was happy to hear they were local and family owned. A good amount of pizza offerings as well specials -2 slices and soda under six bucks as well whole pizza specials. I asked the friendly young man if their Calzones were good. He said they were. Alright then, Pepperoni Calzone it is! Just the right size with a great balance of sauce to cheese and pepperoni. I noticed there wasn't a side of marinara as we get on the east coast but I said to myself this must be west coast style so who am I to question? Excellent Calzone and I didn't need any Marina for dipping! I can only imagine the pizza would be just as good. For sure a local's favorite as they had good traffic around 5 pm. Will definitely come back to this gem if I'm in the area again!

Great neighborhood pizza spot. They have a personal pizza for $8.50 that you can have up to three toppings. The pepperoni sausage Jalapeño combo was really good. Their buffalo wings are really delicious too. Only thing is they charge extra for ranch and the wings don't even come with ranch so they need to fix that thanks bye.

So this is their pizza 5 minutes after getting it home ! Doesn't last a second in my house !

This is the best pizza I have ever had . THEY DONT MISS. I've lived around here for a year and it's not worth it to order pizza from anywhere but here! Family owned business very nice people! the pizza here is top tier.

Delicious pizza!!!!!! We decided to finally give it a shot after they closed pizza loca and we were in for a big surprise! Just amazing!!! Wayyyyyy better than pizza Loca, pizza hut, Dominos, etc.... Crust and ingredients are just so fresh plus they have specials throughout the week which makes it even better. We also ordered wings and OMG the extra spicy sauce is sooooo delicious!!!!!! . havent had pizza in a month soooo, yes, i cld've been a cheapskate & went with "lil cesars" but, i wanted pizza with a good rating at a fair price that i can afford. So based on the ratings, i went with this place "Pizza LA". The wait wasnt too bad (if u have patience lasting longer than 40 mins). Anyhow, the pizza got here & its a niiice size XL pizza box!! Pizza is very good, 4 Stars. Delivery was quick and delivery person very nice, 5 Stars. Prices are also 5 Stars as are the daily specials. What brings this review down were the buffalo wings which were terrible. I couldn't even finish 1 wing. It was mushy and fatty and just not good at all. 0 Stars for the wings. A waste of money. So say yes to the pizza! But no to the wings. read more

I ordered delivery for my family and me. The food was on time (60 minutes). Our order was perfect, temperature wise, no missing sauces, etc. We ordered the supreme pizza, and that was tasty. The chicken tenders were okay, but a little too salty for my taste. So overall, there was nothing to rave about, but because the food was good, prompt, and convenient, I'd definitely order here again. read more

First time ordering from here. I liked it and so did the kids. XL pizza wasn't THAT Extra Large but it was a good size. Wings were also pretty good. I would definitely order from here again. About $30 for the pizza, wings and soda deal (plus delivery fee) on the weekends, so a better price than most around here. Lastly, our delivery was earlier than expected, which is always a good thing. Oh and pizza was good the next day, that's important in my house. read more

First time trying this pizza spot. Im glad they were open despite the curfew the city has. I was starving so I found it onlike and ordered for delivery. I got the Veggie pizza and added jakapeños and garlic. Reason why its 4 stars and not 5 is because it was covered in garlic. Wayyyyyyyyyyy to much. At first when I opened the box , I thought it was roasted cauliflower or something but it was all garlic :( I was abke to only eat 2 slices. Maybe just bring it down a notch on the garlic next time :) read more

Prices are great, pizza is delicious! The crust is moist, no dry spots. Their sauce is the perfect acidity, not too much slathered about. Sometimes if there's too much sauce it masks the flavor of the dough - which is an art in itself. The two combine with the cheese to form pure deliciousness. Perfect crunch, perfect cheese stretchiness. Oh, and the wings are tasty, with an essential amount of sauce. You won't find a dry wing at this establishment. Do yourself a favor, get some of this tasty pie. Definitely coming back. read more

So where can I get pizza? Not leave my house. Not spend 20 bux but be full and content. We (me and the GF) searched on Yelp and found PIZZA LA. It was close, they delivered, and they were cheap. Wait...cheap pizza? Affordable pizza? And its NOT supposed to taste like gross ass Little Seizure or Costco pizza? I was scared. We decided to order the Vegetarian Pizza with olives, mushrooms, onions, green bell peppers and red bell peppers with a side of wedges. We ordered on YELP's EAT24. Had a small issue with the communication but they were cool about it and we were cool about it. They actually waited outside patiently til we came out. And we ate like kings and queens. The pizza was great. It didn't taste like a cheap pizza; it was fab. Customer service was great. I'll definitely hit them up again and again. The price is perfect and their close by. read more

The only problem here is the parking, all the spots are always busy. However, the pizza is really great and the service is fast. Never found a line here, never had problems with staff. It is little, but very convenient place to buy the pizza. read more

Not fancy, but who needs fancy pizza all the time? It's fast, reasonably priced, and dependable pie. You can get a large pizza for the price of a medium at most of my neighborhood parlors. Pizza LA fills the gap between fussy gourmet pizza restaurants and the minimal quality chains. Hot, fresh and plentiful to your door in 30-40. No complaints! read more

This is my second time coming here for my lunch break, I get the personal pizza with pep, mushrooms and jalapeños. Los Angeles only has a few extremely great pizza places and this place is fucking one of them. The crust is amazing Which is one of the most important factors in great pizza. Let me tell you something about this business the owner is the nicest ,kindest ,and the sweetest person I've ever had the pleasure to met !!!!! He is all about his customers satisfaction and there quality of service is hands down the best part not to mention my favorite order which to say is my only order when I do is there regular pepperoni and cheese pizza it has the right amount of sauce , not dripping over as you bite down like other places that drown there's with sauce it's perfectly made to perfection and just the right amount of dough not to thick not to thin just right , and the best part of there menu is there chicken wings omg to die for you must try if your a wing kinda person wow you will thank me once you try for yourself let me tell you that!!!!! The crab fat fried rice is a no brainer and depending on the night you come, I highly recommend the Sinigang xiaolongbao special. You don't have to be Filipino to appreciate what Sampa is doing for the culture, just come by and see for yourself.

The Crab Fried Rice was the best of the night with good flavor and lots of crab. The Pinakbet was nothing like pinakbet I've had before. It was a huge pork knuckle drowned in a heavy cream sauce. There were 2 okras in it and no other veg. The Crispy Duck Pancit was overcooked (not crispy) duck breast over some kind of noodles that were like mediocre Chinese take out with a little vinegar to make it Filipino. Toward the end the waitress then asked if we wanted dessert (of which there was only one option) even way before we were done with the entrees. When we declined, she dropped the check even though we were still eating. I had such high hopes for this restaurant because I think Filipino flavors are prime for higher end dining but we got none of the punchy, bright flavors that are common in Filipino cuisine. I would say the food for the most part didn't even measure up to Waipahu or Daly City Filipino restaurants much less elevated, fine dining. This meal for 2 adults and 2 teenagers was $400. We've had better in Waipahu for $75. Boggles my mind how there are so many good reviews here. Unless you are rich and desperate for anything resembling Filipino food, I would just take a pass here. P.S. the 2 mocktails for $14 each were also underwhelming and a little weird.

The cannoli were decent, the classic was better than the cherry, but not memorable. I will definitely be back for the pizza.

I normally don't eat my crust, but this one has good flavor and I enjoyed it all on its own. It's a really thin crust that I would normally eat with a knife and fork, but not so thin that you can't pick it up and eat it folded, if that's your bag. The round on the Crazy half all went well together - very balanced flavors and very nice quality ingredients. My dining partner enjoyed his pepperoni/sausage half less, but said that the pepperonis were the most flavorful ingredient, the sausage didn't do it at all for him (too little flavor) and that the sauce want his favorite. Our pizza was prepared quickly, brought to our table pipping hot and with friendly service. Parking is pretty easy in this location, if not put front in the diagonal street spaces, along the streets in the neighborhood on the ends of the block. And if you're hankering for dessert, there's an excellent gelato place right next door to complete your tour of Italy!
