I like this place a lot. Frank the delivery guy is friendly. Only issue is I think the portions have gotten smaller recently.

This is the first time I ordered delivery from Pizza Man, and I have to say I'm surprised at how good the pizza is. We ordered a large vegetarian pizza and taste/size-wise it was better than most of the places we've ordered vegetarian pizzas from (I'm talking a standard vegetarian pizza, not one with fancy toppings like squash blossoms). For me, this pizza was easily better than all the national pizza chains and better than our local Fresh Brothers, Tomato Pie, Mama's, etc. They have an extensive menu of everything from burgers to fried chicken, which I'm now going to try the next time I order pizza. This is our go to place for good, fresh food! I mean, really, a cut above. And it is not just pizza, but a full menu of other items that are equally good. The Caesar salad dressing it the best in town for delivery! They are always courteous and the food is delivered fast and hot. Although they probably know how to get to my place by heart, because we order so much! Don't forget to try the "big" chocolate chip cookie. To die for. We usually order Pizza and chicken from PM in Glendale, We like it a lot. But for some reason on this day we were not able to order anything, it's like it was down or something. So we decided to order from the one in Pasadena. The pizza was good, not great but good. it was a little on the salty side but that could have been because of the pepperoni or cheese. I don't remember if we ordered it with sausage or not but the pizza had like about 5 small sausage pieces sprinkled throughout the pizza hiding underneath the cheese but again, I'm not sure if we ordered it with or without sausage. We ordered chicken pieces I'm not sure if 8 or 10 pieces can't recall, however the chicken smelled funny and it had a weird taste to it. some areas of the chicken were super cold and some very hot. Very weird. We ate a few pieces thinking it was okay but as we kept eating the chicken the taste was soo off, it tasted bad so we threw the chicken away... we kept the pizza because the pizza was good. We almost finished all the pizza... it was good. Not the chicken I'm sorry, we were craving it too but this left a bad taste in our mouth so maybe we will not be ordering the chicken or give it another chance. Don't know yet about the chicken, BUT the pizza was GOOD. btw, we got sick to our stomachs in the middle of the night. BUT that could be anything that we could have eaten earlier in the day, I don't know. But we will definitely order the pizza :) BTW, I didn't order the pizza and chicken my friend did so it might not be in my name. The pizza from Pizza Man is always good, that's the reason why we continue to order it. But I feel that the chicken pieces has always been a problem for all of the Pizza man Locations. That's why the ER location doesn't have chicken pieces on their menu. But I love their fried chicken, it's good, but not this day. BUT we will be back to order our pizzas. :) read more

i wanted to do an update. i finally got a chance to try out the business that replaced my favorite pizza joint over in la cañada. a lot of this must be a matter of taste and that new pizza place has a lot of business -- but i think that pizzaman is 10 times better than that other place and it is half the price. the pizzaman crust is very good for instance, that other place's crust seemed frozen, it had no gluten in it, no stretchiness, no outside crust either. i am even more impressed with pizzaman now that i was able to try out this other new business -- but it might be a matter of taste. pizzaman also has a very good cheeseburger and fries... read more

As a person born and raised in Los Angeles I can be a little critical about my food choice, even more so because I have a rare allergy to pork and pork products so I have to be careful where and what I eat. I must say I stumbled upon Pasadena Pizza Man by happenstance because my lady lives out here and I visit here time to time. There are food options around but I say I definitely choose Pizza Man almost every time. They're excellent menu options that include beef and vegan pepperoni, (for us who can't enjoy regular pepperoni) awesome prices, and incredibly delicious food. I usually get two XL pizzas with sauce side that includes bouebony bbq, marinara, mango habanero. The crust is an excellent not too hard not too soft size and texture, and even bonus rewards I can earn for sweet deals. A definite recommendation and a sure choice whenever I visit Pasaden. read more

Really feel ripped off by this Merchant... I ordered a $28 dollar pizza with regular crust, not thin crust or burnt crust.... I took my pizza home thinking it was going to be decent, and like I ordered, wrong.... Wrong.... Took my pizza home and realized it had its soul taken from it... The crust was thin just like their service.... The sauce was barely there.... Actually there wasnt any sauce. The toppings where brunt and lightly there as well.... I was really disappointed with Pizza Man.... I went back tonight to buy another pizza and explain to them what happened last night with my order, yet they gave me a bunch of sad excuses.... No sorry or how can we make it better, nothing..... I blame management here... By the way, I ended up not buying another pizza tonight due to all the excuses I was given while there.... I called again and as I was starting to say I want to ask a question the person goes through the motions again and says online order only and hangs up. This review comes from a very picky eater who gets in trouble often for being way too honest. I ordered from this place once months ago, it was a bit mediocre, salty and oily (probably from the pepperoni). This time pizza came beyond expectations. I usually only eat cheese pizza but I crave for real pizza sometimes like this time: I had beef pepperoni, mushroom, black olives and corn (regular crust). The crust was so delicious. Ingredients were good quality. It wasn't oily or salty but the salt mainly came from the olives and pepperoni. They were also visually pleasing. I really enjoyed it even though I wasn't that hungry and don't have much appetite these days. My mom loved her pizza so much as well and hers was veggie style. And we were both very nervous until we opened the pizza boxes due to some terrible reviews. I believe some people who wrote these negative reviews had either unlucky experiences that weren't just usual; or they truly exaggerated; or the Pizza Man improved themselves like a LOT. Either way, this place (to my last experience) deserves at least solid 4.5 star. I'm giving 5 for surprising the hell outta me. If I was reviewing for both experiences then it would be 4 star. Pizza man is absolutely amazing. The toppings are cut really nicely and distributed evenly so you can get a lot more flavor every bite. The marinara sauce and cheese was superb as well. It really mixed in together with the toppings. The breading is also thin as well, so you're getting good balance. Some pizza places like dominos or papa johns just have so much breading so you're eating 1/2 breading and 1/2 everything else. This is more like 1/3 split of breading, cheese, and toppings. Really great balance Other information is that I ordered this through Doordash and they have a promotion until September 6 that takes 15 dollars off, so this came out to be 10 dollars with delivery. read more

If they had really amazing pizza one could over look the inattentive nature of the business but the pizza is just okay (6 out of 10). However, I chose to do a pick up because I was literally down the street and had to drive to East LA for work. I placed my order, and within 15 minutes received notification that my order was ready. It took me maybe 2 minutes to arrive because again, I was literally down the street. Not only was the guy not wearing gloves while preparing someone else's order but my order WAS NOT ready. The guy kept walking to the back as if checking on my order, THEN,......he starts an order that looks like mine. I asked him if it was and he said yes. I reminded him I had to leave. But he assured me that it would be 4 minutes. (Yeah right!) We love Pizza Man Pasadena! We moved here in February and this pizza place slaps. They do their own delivery, so the delivery fee is reasonable and you don't have to deal with surge pricing and all that other crap. We've ordered a good amount of pizza from them. I'm Celiac, and have never had a problem getting sick here, plus their gluten free pizza crust is really good. Our favorite pizza so far is the honey chipotle. read more

Ordered through Grubhub the app said it was delivered.. apparently my phone gave them the wrong address location.. so when I called the person who answered the phone began to scold me for having the wrong location ( I explained I was not familiar with the area ) but this did not stop him.. when the delivery man finally got here I apologized for the wrong address.. he said nothing! This local pizza spot is legit. It comes delivered hot at your doorstep literally. I like the sauce to cheese ratio, not greasy at all. The crust is perfect, not too thick not too thin.
