This place has thick doughy pizza, which is hard to find anywhere in the area. If you want the extra-thick dough, order your pizza as a Sicilian style. I would recommend extra cheese on the Sicilian as a default. read more

I can't believe it took me this long to discover Pizza Mia. Hands down the best Pizza in Vero. I got the lunch special for 4.99 which included a massive house salad and a slice of cheese Pizza. I upgraded the pizza to the "Grandma" and added spinach. It was outstanding. Perfect combination of garlic, basil, high quality cheese and tomato sauce. I would highly recommend. There's so many options including fun, funky pizzas like cheeseburger and taco Pizza. Fantastic food, large portions, and fair pricing! read more

We really loved Pizza Mia the first 4 visits driving from Ft Pierce. I recommended this quaint popping joint to 6 clients because the salads were amazingly refreshing, clean presentation & given with a smile. Pizza was always piping hot & having a true Italian boyfriend who adores the sauce, pizza & sausage was a huge plus. I often get the sausage, garlic, asiago slice with salad yum or if lucky to see it broccoli raab. I've had eggplant 2x without the pasta w/a salad. It was great (odd breading almost like cornmeal not the best but the eggplant is thin cooked just right) w marinara. The cost reflected it being a side both times ordered. 3rd visit ordered was charged full entrée $16 after asking for no cheese on it & no pasta. Was told by a short hefty guy (not the owner) to just push it off to the side they were busy. By the time I made it down to the eggplant (small portion) it was unappealing. We had to clean our own table & the salad looked like it was on a very dirty bowl. Do they wash hands after taking money, walking back behind the bathroom & coming out without gloves & your salad?? When asking the same guy to please charge what I've been paying he was rude & said, "What take off the pasta - it costs like 50 cents". This particular trip we were bragging & brought along an out of state guest. The portions were smaller as well. Wasn't going to go back yet we were in the area & my boyfriend is Italian. Enough said. I went in happy & ordered asiago mushroom slice w/salad. The salad was partially wilted & the dish looked dirty. The cheese was not asiago, just mozzarella. I ate it, it wasn't very good. I'm disappointed at the treatment more than anything & the energy of the staff & atmosphere was poor / quality change. This is the 2nd visit we had to wash down our chairs & table to sit. Upsetting because we had high hopes to have found a fabulous place where the Owner was so kind and aimed to make you happy. read more

We have been in Vero Beach for 10 years- we are from Ohio but come here as much as we can to our second home- and have not been able to find a fantastic pizza place until tonight! Best pizza around. We had the Sicilian and the thick crust was perfectly baked to perfection. We also had an antipasto which was also fabulous! The staff was amazing- very helpful, attentive and took the time to answer our many questions, despite them being extremely busy! We will definitely be back and will tell everyone we know about this place! read more

I love their pizza. I have also had their pasta fagioli which is homemade and outstanding. Imo this is the best pizza in Vero and my go to pizza joint. Would give five stars, but I reserve such a rating for a truly memorable and unique eating experience. It's pizza....try it. read more

My Mom and I, through my recommendation because of positive reviews, stopped in here for a quick bite between appointments and they only had a Sicilian with ham in behind the glass available for slices. However, it was 11:15 am and they were preparing multiple HUGE Cab orders, probably going to offices (Friday) so we had to wait for more inventory to be put up. The kitchen was swamped. However, I ordered the plain cheese which was coming out and asked for them to make the slice a veggie, and made it a combo with the generous side salad of crisp veggies atop quality spring field greens. Very good and wel-priced at around 6 bucks. The slice was large with fresh San Marzano tomatoes, authentic Italian cheese, fresh spinach, and cannot remember what else, but very good crust, except the center of pie a little thin and soggy due to wet tomatoes. Ate all of the crust though. The tomatoes were so sweet! My Mom waited for the Marghuerita slice, which didn't look like your average, but nonetheless she liked it. She said she thought they used flavor enhancers because it tasted too good! We didn't get anything to drink because we had them in car. Two complain ts: the flimsy paper plates for the slices - I cut right through mine because yes, I use a fork and knife for pizza, and there were visible fingerprints all over the backs of the chairs and the place didn't seem terribly clean. Not much ambience. Better to take out next time. Every type of person stopping in for take out and a police officer met up with 2 friends, older and younger, etc. Didn't see any takeaway in foam! Foil and cardboard only (yeah!). The least-greasy pizza I've had in years. The other great place for pizza in Vero is Pizoodles. Also a bit of a hole-in-the-wall, but much more of a dine-in than this place for sure. Pizza Mia was not a disappointment one bit! Trust me, this is coming from a foodie! read more

We had ordered 6 pizzas and 2 calzones to be delivered. The pizzas arrived nice and hot, but there were no calzones. The driver was not so nice about it and said to call the store, which we did and they were sent out to us. I opened the box and tried to explain to the driver that the sauce was opened in the box and was everywhere he looked at me thru up his hands and left. I would order again except I would pick up the order due to the rudeness of the driver. read more

I ordered a cheese pizza for the kids, which was pretty good. However, I ordered the Chicken Parmesan Roll which was horrible. Hardly any chicken on it and the taste was just blah. I also ordered the Caprese Salad... it arrived with no balsamic drizzle at all. There was also a lot of wilted lettuce. I do not anticipate returning to this restaurant. read more
