Called in an order for a large Pizza with garlic knots. The woman on the phone told me 40 min until pizza was ready and its going to be 25.00 Dollars. I showed up 12 min early and they told me it just came out of the oven. Then the woman said that will be 29 Dollars and something. I gave her 29.00. The pizza was not just fresh out of the oven, it was warm at best. The pizza was OK, not as good as Italian Kitchen. But I was wondering how did 25.00 Dollars turn into 29.00 Dollars! I don't believe that I will be returning to this Business any time soon. Tried this place out as a local spot here in Vero Beach. We made a takeout order for three people. I ordered a 16 inch pepperoni pizza, dozen garlic knots, and 20 hot garlic wings. My bf and his friend are big pizza and wings fans and they enjoyed the pizza. I liked the wings and their garlic knots. The wings were nicely seasoned and not "hot" at all. The knots were great! Went there this evening with my parents on the way home from The Fresh Market (we wanted to find something there but we're out of luck). We decided to order a caprese salad, a chicken parmigiana entree, and meatballs with penne. I understand they're more of a pizza place but the first red flag not letting us know how long the wait would be. The second red flag was that they only have outdoor waiting...in FLORIDA...with bugs that bite. So after over twenty minutes we had to ask if our food was ready and we were told "a few more minutes". After finally getting the food and paying my mother made a comment about how long the wait was and the older woman started gaslighting her by saying "no it wasn't, I saw you waiting there, it was only 20 minutes" My father then said "That's okay, we won't be back" and this woman said "Good, we don't want you back!" Pizza Nirvana! No matter what your age, add eating at Pizza Mia to your bucket list. It's a MUST. Strolled in after a particularly bad day - just to see what all the "hype" was about. I was absolutely stunned. The variety of slices was amazing (and fresh). I tried four of them. Each was absolute perfection. I had: the White (OMG, best in the world). The blend of cheeses - it was oozing ricotta, and basil from heaven made it world-class. Their mozzarella is the BEST as well - and you'll definitely notice the quality, no matter what your choice. So melty, gooey, and flavorful. I'm not a huge red sauce, nor tomato fan, so this was deffo. my FAV. The Works was a beautiful collaboration of toppings - another perfectly balanced slice. I was skeptical about the Grandma & Margherita - due to my aforementioned dislike of tomato/tomato sauce. OMG - I'm now a HUGE fan. The Margarita is loaded with tomatoes - I mean heaping with them - and they're fresh and delicious. Again, a bit afraid of the Grandma because of the sauce. Wait: You have NEVER had pizza sauce like theirs, I guarantee. It is so smooth and amazing. They have it down to a science - best I've ever had. I usually get agita (non-Italians may have to Google it, lol) from tomatoes and tomato sauce, but NOT from this pizza - at all! It was definitely worth the 'risk' - and I'm so glad I did. The crust on all of their pies is perfection in and of itself. Crispy, crunchy, perfectly seasoned (it's in the dough - not just on the crust like other places try to do as a gimmick). Pizza Mia is one of our top picks for lunch in Vero Beach. Here is what I love: The family owned business is run by the family with love. They work hard at it but they must enjoy it for we always feel their enthusiasm for making people happy. Their lunch special (about $7) is a slice of pizza (they have many types to choose from) and a crazy good beautiful salad served in a chilled bowl. The salad would be considered a meal in many restaurants. Here is what would get a fifth star: They don't have many tables so you may have to wait at lunch during prime time. There is a drink cooler in the dining area so you can grab your own drink but it takes up a lot of space and it is VERY NOISY. To the Owners-get rid of the cooler and add two tables or get a smaller cooler that is quiet. When heading over for their delicious food I ready myself for the noise. read more

It was an accident that I gave Pizza Mia 3-stars instead of 5. They crust is wonderful. The services is great. The toppings are generous.

First time I ate here I hated it. The sauce was so sweet it tasted like the "lunchables" pizza sauce. My mother in law surprised me with it again acouple weeks later and it was the best thing I've ever eaten. I almost didn't believe her that it was the same place. I work for the local fire department and I gotta tell ya....I am impressed with this place. We were leaving a fire that had us working right through the time we would normally try to plan for dinner and these guys saved the day....piping hot, slightly crispy crust, tangy sauce.....and the grandmas pizza with san marzano tomatoes makes you wonder why anyone would ever order a regular cheese pizza again. Also we always order one specific pizza no matter where we get pizza from(pepperoni, jalapeño, garlic, well done)....we call it the firehouse special. They knocked it out of the park. I had the hankering for a calzone this particular Saturday. I'm usually pretty picky when it comes to calzones, so I was kind of hesitant to try one from Pizza Mia. In my opinion, it's hard to find one that isn't doughy, greasy, filled with too much cheese, or cooked well in general. After my last poor experience with South Beach Pizzeria, I wasn't sure if there was another place around that could deliver something better. But I'm so glad I took the risk with this place. The calzone was fairly big and certainly enough for at least 2 people. The bread was nice and brown, but not quite burnt. It had a nice mixture of cheeses - instead of just the basic ricotta and mozzarella. I ordered some spinach as a topping too. I could even smell the spices that emanated from it. They also gave plenty of marinara, which I can also be picky about at times. The cheese to crust ratio was nice and didn't feel too heavy on either end. I will definitely be coming back for these, and maybe try a slice of their pizza too! read more
